I used Alande on a large project and Alfonso and his team were professional and a pleasure to deal with. We had a lot of changes to the job and everyone jumped to take care of all requests that I had. The pricing was fair and they held to what they said they would do. I would recommend Alande to anyone! Great company to work with.

The crew at Alande does high quality work. I’ve hired them a few times for taping and priming new drywall in gut rehab apartments. They’re organized, punctual, and clean. My drywall joints are invisible and the primer coat is solid and even. I would hire them again.

As a general contractor in the residential industry, we look to Alande for our drywall and taping needs. Scheduling is easy, invoicing is clear cut and the crews are respectful and nice to work alongside. I would recommend them for any project, large or small.

We had our kitchen remodeled and had a great experience. We trusted him to take the lead on the design, and with some of our input and his direction, everything came together perfectly.

He installed ALL of our kitchen appliances, replaced my light fixtures, installed recessed lights, completed a beautiful backsplash, replaced my counter tops and paid attention to all the details. Left everything clean, the work was done on time, and he was quick and efficient throughout the entire process.

He is our go to for any of our projects. Just can’t emphasize how grateful we are and happy as always with the outcome. Hard to find someone like him. Worth the price!

We used Chicago Custom Remodeling for some minor remodeling work in our kitchen that required custom components. Al was very helpful and communicative through the whole process and the end result was professional and high-quality, and he even went above and beyond and did some finish work that we were going to do ourselves. We plan on working with them again, and would recommend them to anyone.

When we moved into our new home our plan was to completely remodel the kitchen: we wanted to take down a wall between the kitchen and the mudroom behind. In addition we wanted two windows added, new hardwood flooring, new cabinetry and a lot more!

Al Zamm of Chicago Custom Remodeling was the most genuine and knowledgeable of all the contractors we met with - we are so glad we picked him. Al spent three hours with us during the consultation listening to our ideas and advising about practicalities. He was very realistic with us from the start; advising us not to stretch ourselves and get into debt with multiple projects in our home, but to focus on one at a time to allow time to save in between. He suggested we get a couple of other estimates for our own peace of mind - his honesty and integrity was refreshing from the start!

Al informed us from the start of our kitchen renovation project that quality work takes time. We were very naive about the amount of work that goes into a kitchen remodel, but having watched the incredible transformation - and all the stages in-between (including complete removal of dry wall and ceiling) - we are so grateful for Al's perfectionist work ethic, and creativity. He is more than a contractor: he is capable of advising about design nuances that will ensure a superb finished product. We were constantly impressed by Al's talent; there seems to be nothing that he cannot do. It transpired that the wall between our mudroom and the kitchen was load-bearing (our home is 120 years old, and Al warned us from the start that he wouldn't know the exact scope of the work until he removed the wall). This created a lot of additional work, but Al's solution resulted in an incredible addition to our kitchen: a gorgeous wooden beam to hide the support structure which replaced the load-bearing wall, and which fitted perfectly into our kitchen design.

Some examples of Al going above and beyond:
- Spending hours with us one evening to get the electronic design right for our kitchen prior to commencing the work
- Driving a four hour round trip to Michigan to collect our countertop to ensure there would be no seems when it was fitted
- Walking our dog in the day when we were out
- Adding a gas line outside for our grill whilst he was moving the gas line for the double oven
- Helping us with multiple DIY projects elsewhere in the house when our expertise failed (putting up blinds, light fittings, wood trim, shelves)
- Working longer hours than any contractor I have ever heard of
- Working weekends
- Getting to know our style better than we do, and therefore picking out better tiles and window casements that our original efforts

Al is honest, extremely hard-working, and he has a great sense of humor. He will not leave a job until the customer is 100% satisfied, and his standards and expectations for his own work are very high. Although, Al's business model is the customer is always right, and to provide excellent customer service, we learned to be realistic with time expectations - great quality work takes time and it is not productive to rush him. Our finished kitchen was 1000% worth our patience to ensure that Al was able to get the best parts from the best suppliers.

We hired Al to do the backsplash in the kitchen, he was great to work with and helped us get the best deals possible. We picked the tile we wanted and he was able to get a great price for us. We could not be happier with the job he did and the time he did it in. Quick clean and efficient Al made it easy on us and did a fantastic job. Highly recommended

Al is hard worker, honest and trustworthy. He did a complete remodel of our kitchen and was on site 100% of the time and did most of the work himself.

His attention to detail is incredible and his patience with my overbearing need to “stay within my budget” was commendable. He did an amazing job with our kitchen, we absolutley love it. He wasn’t finished until we were completely satisfied.

When my rental condo flooded, I called Al to mitigate the unit and then asked him to do the rebuild. He jumped right to it and had my renters back in the unit within a month.

Al is the real deal. He’s on my speed dial. Our next task is to get our bathrooms done and he will be our first call.

My journey with Chicago Custom Remodeling started in August, when I was searching for a contractor that could redo my kitchen, floors and paint. This company came highly recommended by one of the bigger kitchen remodeling studios here in Chicago and I couldn't be happier that I made the call. Al came out on the same day with samples, walked the space and gave me insights on what I should be looking for.

Once we decided that it was a good match, Al came up with a list of items I had to do, so I wouldn't feel rushed when the project started. Our time together is at a close and I am beyond happy with my remodeling project, I just want to spend time in my spaces to take it all in. If your home HVAC breaks down, you will spend a lot of time hoping to find a good company to repair it. I didn't spend that time because my friend recommended AI. I used AI twice to repair my AC unit and install a new HVAC system, the results were satisfactory. He was very professional, and the price was reasonable, absolutely would recommend, 5 stars!

Al + team went above and beyond to get my AC fixed quickly and affordably. He was really clear about what the issue was and my options for fixing & replacing it. Being a single female homeowner, a lot of providers will try to take advantage so I really appreciated that he took the time to understand what I did and didn’t need/want (he even told me what to look out for with previous quotes I had gotten). Did I mention he went out of his way to get things fixed for me before the 90 degree days hit??? I would be a literal puddle right now if not for these guys. Can’t recommend enough.

Over the years, our powder room had become almost non-functional, and we really needed to get it overhauled this fall before the holiday season. Our son and daughter-in-law had recently worked with Al and Chicago Custom Remodeling for their bathroom and recommended them highly.

We found their estimate very fair, and they had good ideas as to tiling, lighting, a new window, door and frame. The work was done expeditiously, with the only hold-up the window, which got caught in the current supply-chain delays. The result is a very clean looking, bright new powder room. Best of all, I think, is that they really KNOW and CARE ABOUT plumbing and electrical, and for us, what is underneath all the pretty tiles is the most important of all.

We had a unique project in our home that was difficult to measure the scope of work and even harder to find someone we trusted to take it on. Al was straightforward and trustworthy from the beginning. We felt so relieved that it was in good hands. Along the way he adapted as needed, presented great solutions to various challenges, and in the end, gave us the great gift of replacing a valuable piece of history in the home we love. Would recommend Al to anyone!
