I had Al and his team build out an ugly half bath (was actually a closet w/an oversized sink and toilet) into a beautiful full bath with a walk in shower. It required creativity to build out walls, fit everything into a small space and still look fabulous. It looked so good that adjoining kitchen suffered in comparison. So, I updated the counters and back splash for a small budget increase and now everything looks fabulous.
Al and his team were a joy to work with. Very professional and dependable, cleaned up after themselves, respectful of my home, kept me updated and even let my dog out for her walk. I will, without a doubt, use Al again. I highly recommend his work.

Al and his team are hands down excellent. Honest and upfront about everything, and clear communication from quote all the way through completion. They not only do quality work that they clearly care about and take pride it (rightfully so), but they also keep a clean workspace.

There were so many things wrong with our basement, and after finally resolving our water issues we needed to get the entire thing refinished. He helped us avoid a second major water issue by pointing out some sketchy plumbing, and he even helped me secure a section of old fence that blew down while they were on site so my dogs didn't run off.

I will be getting them back out to replace that fence soon, happy to wait for an opening in their schedule. It can be hard to find a contractor that you can trust, but congratulations you need look no further this is one right here.

Al at CCR was wonderful to work with on our apartment bathroom remodel. He was up front with cost expectations and what could be done and my husband and I just love our new bathroom. Al gave valuable suggestions and advice every step of the way. He worked so hard every day and took less than 2 weeks to complete from demo day to finishing touches. The guys he brought in for electric and painting were great as well. We had a great experience with Al and his company and would call him again in a heartbeat for any future projects. I can't say enough good things about Al & his team. My A/C died in the middle of a heat wave & a friend recommended Chicago Custom Remodeling. Al arrived an hour later quickly diagnosed the issue. Unfortunately, the diagnosis was a new unit needed. 24 hours later a brand new unit was installed and working perfectly. Incredible service, fair price, absolutely would recommend, 5 stars!

The best relationships are based on trust. When it comes to your contractor, that’s even more true. Luckily for us, Al is one trustworthy guy and he gave us beautiful results overhauling the kitchen and master bathroom in our new home. This is the first renovation we’ve done, and we were a little nervous about how to proceed. Though we had a vision of what we wanted, Al was able to help us define it and clarify it. He offered honest feedback throughout that made us feel more confident in our choices, whether it was that he liked the color we chose to paint our kitchen or that our floor tile wasn’t the best match for what we were doing. Above all, Al is a complete perfectionist AND a creative problem-solver. If one little thing felt off, he couldn’t stand it until it was fixed. Whenever a wrench was thrown in there, Al had a way to fix it. Al is also very responsive and communicative so we were able to keep in touch throughout the entire process and feel good about progress. We highly recommend Al and Chicago Custom Remodeling for all of your contracting needs. He’s worth it.

We have worked with Al for many years, on three different homes we lived in - at this point he's practically family. Recently, we went through a major renovation with our nearly 100-year-old house. While most people find a renovation stressful, I actually had a lot of fun with it. That's due to Al. We communicated our vision, style, and budget upfront and he was able to bring our dream to life. He made additional suggestions that brought character to our home and also added little details that give it modern conveniences.

Amazing work! Right from the get go, Al was able to work with and help achieve our home renovation needs and vision. Throughout the whole process, Al had great communication and answered any questions and concerns we had. He even helped us out for some of the material we were having a difficult time finding the appropriate amount. During construction, Al would send updates, which we also enjoyed! The work itself made our living and dinning room look like whole new rooms. They look so much more elegant and modern now.

I have been a repeat customer of Al's for over 4 years. It's hard to find a reliable honest company who does a quality job. He has done several jobs for me over the years. Most recently they fixed up my driveway and side walk. We are going to put in new flooring soon and I can't wait to see the finished product!

Al is great to work with - had my countertop recently replaced in June 2018 from the dark granite to a bright and refreshing light white/grey finish. The difference is remarkable as you can see the pictures. Al is knowledgeabe and will provide you with suggestions if you're unsure or need help.

Al’s work on our place has been fantastic. Every friend or family member that walks in immediately talks about how our whole place looks brand new. The floors, painting, and the countertops all look terrific and we’re lucky to have him as our general contractor for our spot.

This would be my 5th project with CCR. Each job has been better than the previous one. Al provides both aesthetic and practical suggestions throughout that result in detailed craftsmanship. I’m very happy with my new kitchen and will continue to hire CCR for any future home renovations.

We hired CCR to update the connection for a new washer and dryer. Al went above and beyond identifying rotted pipes that affected the plumbing overall. He replaced what needed to be replaced with new PVC pipe drainage and came back to install the washer dryer minutes after delivery. I would definitely hire him again for my next large home project.

Al and his team were able to quickly help when my rental unit in Pilsen had the heat go out in November. They got it working that same day so our tenants had heat and then gave a great quote (including parts and labor warranties) to replace the furnace, water heater, and air conditioner- which were all over 20 years old. Al talked through the options and my building needs to determine the best matches for my space, instead of just recommending replacement units based on my square footage. His team was very polite, kept to their quoted schedule and left everything super clean. While doing part of the instillation on the exterior, they noticed a small, unrelated issue and called my attention to it since it was in an obscured part of the building. They repaired that too while they were there and at no extra cost!! A few months later, I was able to quickly schedule Al and Mr. Olive to return when the weather suddenly turned warm in early spring to get the A/C calibrated and all continues to be working great. Highly recommend!

Al is the rare contractor that can take completely unspoken, unexpressed ideas that are in your mind and bring them to reality on a project. He was very patient with my need to double and triple-check leveling, and overall was a joy to work with.

Highly recommend Chicago Custom Remodeling. We experienced water damage in 2020 and were lucky to find Al to help. What we appreciated the most was his ability to understand and work with our insurance company through the claims process. We ended up needing all new flooring, drywall and a bathroom gut. All work was top quality along with bringing a few items up to code. We could not be happier with the results and experience.

Upgraded electrical service to 400Amp from 100Amp, replaced mismatched panels and breakers from old contractor and corrected several other issues caused by choices made by my previous partner. Work was priced fairly and performed excellently and on a time by licensed professionals. Long story short, you get what you pay for and MVM delivered.
