Just about the worst experience with any home improvement project we have experienced in 20 years. As part of a complete top to bottom remodel, we made plans for a new garden. Sean came quickly to design the space but then disappeared when it came time to finalize and schedule a start date. Despite multiple promises to include us in the schedule he simply stopped responding to our messages even after we asked him to simply tell us if he was too busy or if our project was too small. For the prices he charges you should get better service and results.

To maximize our yard utilization in the challenging midwest climate, we commissioned Reveal to install a Pratic pergola with heaters, outdoor cabinet with fridge and replacement stairs that would compliment our overall property aesthetic. Sean Kelley was thorough and responsive throughout the project planning, offering up many helpful suggestions to ensure our complete satisfaction.

We worked with Bree for the design of our backyard space. Shes organized, responsive, kind, thoughtful and so easy to work with. Being in the city, there isn't much of a footprint to work with. Bree listed to what was important to us and designed a thoughtful use of that space in a creative way.

I have so much more room out there than before! We now have an outdoor kitchen complete with smoker and grill. A fire table, couch, outdoor table, screen design for our AC unit, stamped concrete and a vertical garden. It's so beautiful and comfortable with the pergola equipped with outdoor heater and fan. It's perfect, we love it and cannot wait until our next project with Bree.

Sean is talented, practical and responsive - everything you want in a contractor. We have hired RevealDesign several times and will do so again when needed in future.

One of our house goals coming out of the pandemic was to improve our outdoor space. We wanted a modern space with clean design that would complement our property aesthetic, and would also allow us to comfortably entertain through as much of the year as possible. When we were ready to move ahead with the work, we did our research on the landscape design firms in Chicago and ultimately chose to work with Reveal Design.

Reveal did a comprehensive site survey of our space, including a sun study, to determine what design would make the best use of the space while keeping us comfortable throughout different times of day. They ultimately designed a beautiful wood and steel pergola with heaters and lights that shelters our sofa and chairs, which are arranged around a gas-powered fire table. Around the perimeter of the space, they included a fountain and climbing plants that beautifully highlight the pergola. The automatic lighting enhances the overall look of the space and allows us to use the space well into the evening. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.

We have had great experiences with Reveal Design! We first started working with Sean and Reveal 1.5 years ago, based on recommendations from several friends. Sean and his team expertly transformed our roof deck, turning it into an oasis that included lighting, heaters, a pergola with a retractable roof, and landscaping. We went from a nice, but plain, roof deck to a space that feels like an exclusive outdoor lounge (exactly the vibe we were aiming for). We were so pleased with the outcome that we didn't even ponder using another firm when we redid our front yard this spring. Sean and his team are truly experts in all things related to outdoor spaces: landscaping, hardscaping, lighting, structures such as pergolas, and more. Along the way, Sean was personally available to us and always willing to hop on a call to discuss anything related to our project.
