Was having trouble with my AC cooling right in the middle of 90 + degree weather. Called them on a Saturday morning and they were able to squeeze me in that same day. The technician was honest and upfront and explained to me with what was going on. They got me back up and running and the house feeling cool again. 10/10 would recommend!

We have used HVAC Buddies several times for now different projects. They are always professional, on time, clearly communicate, project timelines, and expectation. We are very happy with the work they do.

Tremendous. They were able to schedule us with a relatively minor job for Saturday after a call Friday afternoon. Others were offering dates two weeks out. Communication was excellent and transparent, as was pricing, which was well below the competition. Eric showed up right on time with everything he needed for the job.

We are already scheduling them for a larger, more complex job.

Erik came to our house to replace our AC unit. He did a great job, he was quick, clean and overall professional. He speaks Spanish, so he was able to speak with my parents about everything he was doing. He also offered payment plans which was great. He is now maintaining our unit every year. He comes out and cleans it and checks on everything. He offers a lot of value, very much worth it.

June 2025 review:

Great experience with HVAC Buddies after the AC in my condo broke down on Monday when it was in the 90s-100s outside.

I reached out to a number of different HVAC companies on Monday evening, and HVAC Buddies was the first to respond. Erik and his team (two guys) arrived at 7am the next day, and Erik quickly determined the problem and laid out my options: repair the AC, replace the AC, or replace the entire HVAC system (AC and furnace). He provided me with multiple quotes for AC-only replacement and HVAC replacement (at multiple price points).

One thing that I appreciated was that Erik went out of his way not to upsell anything and made clear that it was my decision, but still answered all my questions and gave me his professional opinion. I ultimately decided to replace the entire HVAC system due to its age (around 15 years old). HVAC Buddies also offers payment plans through a third-party lender, so I was able to set up a payment plan with 0% interest for 36 months, which is always a welcome option for large expenses like this one.

Erik and his team came back on Thursday morning with the new unit and worked all day to get the new HVAC system installed. By 8:30pm on Thursday, my AC was running again. All my questions about the installation (and other HVAC-related questions) were answered. Erik was very communicative throughout the entire process.

I'll be using HVAC Buddies for future HVAC needs.

October 2025 update:

After replacing my HVAC system this summer, the AC worked great with no issues. However, the heat would not turn on when the weather got a bit colder a couple days ago, so I reached out to Erik about that and asked if he could also install my new thermostat. He responded immediately and offered to come out the next day.

Erik installed my new thermostat and set it all up for me, and he was able to resolve my heating issue quickly (loose wire). I also had questions about some water marks on the ceiling of my bathroom and whether that could be related to the HVAC, so Erik spent extra time looking into that and answering all my questions. There are a couple minor remaining items that he'll be coming back to address, but it was a relief to get my heat up and running and getting the big items addressed today.

This is my second or third year working with HVAC buddies. They came promptly and finished their work quickly. And they are priced very fairly. Would not hesitate to use them again.

Eric came out and fixed an issue that two other companies couldn't figure out. I didn't have heat in my home and he made sure my boiler issue was fixed before the super cold weather hit. He even showed up after I got home from work, at 5:30pm, to resolve the issue after the part he needed came in. There wasn't a sense of him rushing to get out and spent extra time to make sure my heat stayed on. Great job all around.

My furnace stopped working late in the afternoon and Eric was able to fit me in his schedule in the evening for his last job at 6:45 pm. I called several HVAC contractors and GC for my range hood project, which includes drilling a new vent hole in a brick wall. Most contractors don't provide the service, but Eric responded positively in a short time! The whole process was very smooth and efficient.
