Kavana's plumbing did a great job replacing my old toilet with a brand new one. Making the appointment, all of the service, installation and haulaway was excellent.

Henry came out quickly to address a clog that I couldn’t fix myself. He was quick yet thorough. He even educated me on how I could fix it myself in the future. I will definitely be saving his number for future needs.

I called and left a message about my bathroom sink valve leaking. Henry promptly called back and had me send photos/video of the issue. He called me back to say the angle valve nut needed to be tightened. I was able to tighten it and the leak stopped. No need for him to come out and replace it. He saved me hundreds of dollars for a replacement, especially now during Christmas. Thank you Henry! I’ll will definitely use your services in the future.

Selling my home and was started panicking less than a week before closing due to a blockage in the kitchen sink. Henry spent literally a total of at least an hour over 2 days asking questions to determine if I needed an emergency appointment on a Sat (or one at all) which I was more than happy to pay for. Based on what he thought was the issue and possible fixes, I felt better and was ok with waiting until Monday. I let him know my "main" concern with rodding & it causing an issue somewhere else in the pipes which I experienced some years ago when I had the sink rodded. Henry used the less aggressive measure (I forgot what he said he used but it was a snake) and thankfully it worked like a charm. As a single woman who unfortunately have had my share of "crooks", I definitely recommend him and would call again if he services my new location for the job needed.

Henry was very honest, which is extremely important to me, and something that’s hard to find. He was upfront about everything, explained the issue clearly, and didn’t try to upsell or add unnecessary work. Very affordable and the quality of work was great. I truly appreciate his integrity and would absolutely recommend him.

Henry is hands down an amazing plumber. When my radiator burst, it was extremely stressful and I was having a hard time finding anyone who could come out quickly. Henry stayed on the phone with me for over an hour and calmly walked me through exactly what to shut off and where to go so I could minimize the damage and protect my home. That alone was above and beyond.

He then came out, removed the radiator, and properly capped everything off. He was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and an absolute gentleman the entire time. If you’re looking for someone dependable who truly cares and takes pride in his work, Henry is your guy. I can’t recommend him highly enough. I would absolutely call Henry again in the future. I worked with Mr. Henry regarding an issue with sewage overflowing into my unit, and he was extremely informative throughout the entire process. He took the time to carefully listen to my concerns without rushing, allowing me to fully explain the situation. Wow! very unprofessional called at 3pm didn't get anyone till 5 or so.they said they would be at my house within the hr.No up date calls until I called them.There guy shows up in gym shoes and basically told me my main drainage could not be cleaned unless they take out my bathroom toilet and the main plug would brake and feces would spill all over my basement paid him his $85 (stick me up withouta gun)fee.Called a real professional was here within the hr opened up that same plug nothing spilled out and he routed it out within 1.5 hrs total at my house what a waist of money never will use this company

Fantastic experience with Vanguard from start to finish. Jan responded quickly to my inquiry and asked the right questions to provide an accurate quote. Scheduling was also very easy. George came on time, was friendly and did a great job moving a gas pipe for us. Highly recommend!

Jan at Vanguard Plumbing came highly recommended by a former colleague. I moved into an apartment with showers that needed repair and one ultimately a full replacement. Jan was most likely not the most affordable but the work was great. I live in an older loft apartment and he had to redesign shower jets that are on the side of the wall from scratch as the parts were no longer manufactured. This took quite a bit of time but in the end it was taken care of and works great. I'm definitely keeping Jan and Vanguard in my contacts for the future. Highly recommend.

During his time at my residence, he worked efficiently, cleaned up thoroughly, and made additional improvements to the heating system and piping to ensure compliance with regulations. Vanguard plumbing is amazing!! They were able to get to us promptly and stayed late to try every avenue to unclog the drain. After realizing best case was to let water drain over the weekend and come back early next week to see if they could use their camera to unclog drain. And successful, they were! They also took the time to explain why the problem had happened and how to prevent it. Additionally, after we paid, they showed us how to shut off our hot water heater, where our main water shut of was, and more! Looking out for first time home owners. We will be using Vanguard for all our future plumbing needs and already recommend to anyone who asks who we used. Thank you for everything, Vanguard team!

I have to begin by saying that from start to finish, working with Vanguard Plumbing was an absolute pleasure. Jan is the owner and he is a very thorough and thoughtful professional to work with. The professional that he sent to our apartment, George, was also a pleasure to work with and completely resolved all of our issues timely and cost effectively. Vanguard Plumbing helped investigate an issue we were having with high water bills in our condo building. They were able to identify the issue & resolve it in a very timely matter. I would happily use Jan again for a plumbing project.

This review is long overdue. Jan has done work for us a few times in the past year. His work and communication skills are excellent. I’ve never written a review before but I felt it was important to write this one. I can’t recommend him enough. He replaced our sump pumps, put in new piping, valves, cleaned out the pit and installed a new backup system. He was thorough in explaining how the new backup system worked. In addition to this project, he placed a safety pan below our water heater. This involved removing the water heater, placing the pan and reinstalling the water heater. During this project he installed a new mixing valve, corrected a connection valve from a previous plumber and installed an expansion tank. Jan is a delight to work with. His communication is excellent. He takes the time to investigate your project and answer all questions. He has you send pictures ahead of time to get a clear picture of the project. Never once does he try to sell you on his services. He lays it all out for you to decide if you want quality, thorough work.

When we purchased our home eight years ago, the inspection report said our plumbing was good to go. After living here for a while, we learned that was not the case. Vanguard helped us with a clogged sewer line, an old catch basin, an inefficient stack, old ejector and sump pumps, water heater failure and sensitive toilets. They even rerouted our kitchen sink! Jan and his team are the best! Early on we priced out 3 quotes, Vanguard was always competitively priced. We’ve not had any issues with what they’ve fixed, they show up on time, and clean up after themselves. They are now our go-to for anything plumbing related. Fingers crossed I won’t need to see them for a while, the only thing left is the water line!
