Rob has done an excellent job several times in the past. He went above and beyond after the "Deep Freeze of 2019" by getting my burst pipes fixed fairly quickly.

My friend did! Total scam, never provided estimate when asked, plumbers that came out didn’t know what to do. Kept going up on prices and even lied on hours worked! Don’t yes this company!!! Not professional a total ripoff! We will be contacting Better Business Bureau

I had a water-on-the-floor emergency. I was able to call Rob and he had Alex out to fix my problem in 20 minutes. Couldn’t ask for more in a plumber. Thanks guys!

Rob and his crew are professional and think out all the details to the job at hand. My project has been ongoing for a few years and these guys have been there every step of the way. Called four plumbers and he was the only one to respond. Arrived at my house in under 30 minutes and fixed my problem. Definitely recommend! 5 stars.

Nice folks! They got back to me really quickly. The guys they sent out did great work. They were quick and super nice. Good price too! I’ll definitely be using them again. They mentioned that they do electrical and construction/handywork as well. Something to keep in mind!

Rob West Plumbing got back to my phone messege promptly and worked with the tennents living in the building to set up an appointment within 2 days. Everyone I had contact with at the office was friendly and efficient. They are a great asset to the neighborhood.

Initially I reached out to Rob's shop because they were local and I like the idea of working with small businesses. Unfortunately, that is what plagued them in the end.

My needs were not an urgent plumbing matter- my shower only dispensed really hot water, borderline scalding, which is not pleasant to use, but I've been dealing with it for a few months now.

After playing some phone tag to reach them, I was able to explain my needs to Ralph. He promised he would call me back the next day with a quote on the work and to schedule a time to come out. Three days later I still had not received a follow-up call. I called in and had to re-explain my needs to a different guy, but ultimately he had to have Ralph call me back to schedule a time.

We scheduled them to come out on a Wednesday morning. I took the morning off of work to be home while they worked. They said they would be there between 7-7:30 and didn't show until 8:30. After taking my shower apart, they informed me they did not have the right part and needed to visit their supplier and would have to take my part with them. They also informed me that it could not be done in the same day and they would have to come back tomorrow. There was also the chance that it would be a different technician. I was not very comfortable with the idea that the guy who would be putting it back together was not the same person who took it apart.

It was the end of the day and I still had not heard from Ralph about when they would be coming out the next morning - I'll have to take off from work then too. I called in and Ralph informed me that they do not have enough guys to send out tomorrow and would have to wait until at least Friday before they could come out. This puts me without a usable shower for 2 days. They did eventually complete the job and which was satisfactory.

Bottom line is they are a small shop and they operate like one. Their prices were a little high. You might expect a lower price given they have less overhead than a bigger company.

They did a good job. On the expensive side, but professional and clean work. Pricing is time and materials which isn’t transparent. Idk if I would use them again. The pricing structure gave me a lot of anxiety.

I hired another company in the Chicago area who specializes in gas fire pit Installations to install a fire pit on my rooftop. The company showed up without the correct equipment to do the job and left me in a bind as I needed the fire pit for a party that evening. I called Rob late morning on a Friday and told him my situation. I sent him a few photos of what was needed. He went out of his way to accommodate me into his schedule. I had a lit fire pit by 4pm!! His service was nothing short of spectacular. I will definitely use him again!

Alex was incredibly helpful in replacing our hot water heater the very next day after it broke down. He walked me through each step of the process and gave a very fair estimate. He also helped fix our kitchen sink! Would absolutely recommend using Rob West to anyone who finds themselves in need of a plumber.

I was introduced to Rob West about 4 years ago. At the time, I was taking care of a friend's property while he was out of town for the winter. Rob West Plumbing is my friend's plumber so of course that's who I called when a sewer problem occurred. I manage the facilities for a small private school and needed a good plumber to build a relationship with. So I called Rob for a job at the school. And we've been working together ever since. It's been great working with Rob. Friends and coworkers ask me for contractor referrals all the time. When someone asks me about a plumber, Rob West Plumbing is the first thing I mention.

5 Stars all the way!!! I called Rob, last spring, to see about options for some kind of flood control for my basement. I liked that he offers several different options depending on the individual situation. Though I knew I would probably hire Rob after our first phone conversation - he doesn't come out for free estimates. He actually cables the sewer line to locate everything pertaining to the job. I brought him in last - since I knew my sewer line needed some rodding anyway.

I talked to 5 different companies, 4 of which gave me detailed estimates. My instincts were correct to hire Rob. He came out with John on a Saturday to do the evaluation and rod our line. They thoroughly explained everything with our current systems and the best solutions. We decided to go with a 'modified" overhead sewer system. The basement drains, toilet, and washer/dryer are no longer connected to the city sewer line. They now drain into an ejector pit which pumps the waste water up to the main stack. Sewer will never flood my basement. I think there needs to be 6 feet of water outside in order for gravity to push the sewage up to my first floor..

Rob called with the estimate 2 days later - gave me the price $6000. After talking to the other companies, I was ready to pull the trigger on this one. Great news was they could start tomorrow.

They showed up on time ready to work (Jermaine and Ed). Friendly and hardworking. Worked all day excavating the basement floor. After 1 or 2 days we talked to Rob about having some rough in plumbing so we can build a bathroom down there. They threw that in for $1500 and also moved my Hot Water Heater and added an extra floor vent. This was a big job and every one of the workers were first rate - Jermaine, Ed, John, Luke, and of course Rob. Job took 5 days.

Communication with Tom, in the office, was also pleasant.

Excellent job by all of them - I couldn't be happier. And they finished a couple of days before our first big rain - I slept easy that night.

Thanks Rob! Hope to see you soon - we want to upgrade some of our old plumbing lines and of course get started on that bathroom.

Had a leak issue in our laundry room that was dripping down to tenant's apt below. Alex and Sam were able to come out the morning after I called, showed up promptly at 7am, and were able to diagnose and fix the issue within 40 minutes. I still made it to work on time! Amazing job, would recommend these guys.

Rob West and his team HAVE ALWAYS DONE RIGHT BY ME.

I literally just got off a 2 hour phone call with Rob himself where he took the time out of his day to help me understand the intricacies of our building's plumbing and to brainstorm ways that I can do a TON of the easy footwork myself. And he charged nothing for these two hours! This is why he is ALWAYS my go-to-guy.

Now I can do the easy investigating and don't have to drain our HOA Reserves on easy labor hours that we can do ourselves.

Yes, he literally gave up easy labor hours for the sake of our HOA Reserves. What a guy.

Just a heads up though. Rob can talk your ear off and I mean that in the absolute highest of compliments because information is king and he knows what he's talking about.

He also absolutely CRUSHED all the quotes/bids we conducted with other plumbing companies and his work was top notch. Oh, and he was available much easier and much sooner than the rest.

Not to be cheesy, but when I need to protect my HOA Reserves, Rob is my guy.

Rob west is my go-to for all my Maintenence needs. His team is very knowledgeable and extremely responsive. I usually have Maintenence people on their way as soon as I place a call. The work is careful done and everything they have fixed for me has stood the test of time. Highly recommend!

Do not use Rob West plumbing. We were convinced by Rob to fix something that wasn't broke (first red flag) and quoted $1,000 to do the job. The next day we find out it would cost $400 more to finish the work. We reluctantly agreed. Almost 1 month later, we get an invoice for an extra $1,000. If I had found out this at the time, I would have found a new plumber! I will never use this company again and will advise others to do the same.
