Diego's crew was awesome, no nonsense, arrived on time, and aerated my lawn. Very happy and would highly recommend! Will use again!

As soon as we placed our house for sale, our front lawn started looking really bad. We needed help. Lupe from Diego and Gaby's Landscaping came immediately, assessed the lawn, and in no time made it look beautiful, by laying down fresh sod. My initial experience with D&G Landscaping started off on a positive note. Lupe was polite, responsive, and assured me that he could meet all of my landscaping needs. However, as the project progressed, my wife and I began to feel that the proposal was significantly overpriced... at least twice what we expected for the scope of work. Despite our concerns, we decided to move forward, trusting the high ratings and our initial conversations with Lupe.
Unfortunately, the quality of service fell far short of expectations. The crew that Lupe sent appeared unskilled and did not take proper care with the landscaping. Their work was sloppy, and it was clear that attention to detail was lacking. To make matters worse, the workers seemed more interested to be on their phones than completing their work, all while charging $75 per hour, per worker. It was frustrating to watch as basic tasks, like measuring and leveling were done so poorly.
When I raised these concerns with Lupe, his previously cooperative attitude changed. Requests for corrections were met with exorbitant fees e.g. $2,000 for moving a flower box, $1,100 for extending a PVC pipe that was already being installed as part of the retention basin. This kind of price gouging was simply unacceptable.
When I decided to switch landscapers, Lupe's reaction was unprofessional. He came to my property and confronted the new landscaper who was in the process of working. By that point, we had completely severed ties with D&G.
Even the ongoing lawn services that we had already paid for, like weed control at $200 per month, were poorly executed. Thankfully, our new landscaper has proven to be the exact opposite. He's skilled, reliable, and reasonably priced. I will be posting a separate review for him soon, as he’s one of the few professionals I trust in the area.
In summary, my experience with D&G was disappointing, and I would not recommend their services to anyone seeking quality, professionalism, or fair pricing.

The Nature’s Path team has done top notch landscape design and implemention work at our home over the last several years. Most recently, Barbara, the head of Nature’s Path, designed an attractive, efficient and environmentally sound solution for managing our home’s storm water challenges. The approach has mitigated the flooding we used to routinely have in our backyard and now the lawn is thriving and water is effectively directed to a beautiful rain garden area.

Barb Dunlap created a beautiful landscape design for our front and back yard which we are thoroughly enjoying. At one point, one of the plants did not thrive and she promptly replaced it. We've been spending a lot of time in the backyard this year due to the pandemic and I am so grateful to her for work.

Barbara and her crew did a fantastic job with a fresh planing of shrubs and perennials in our barren Evanston yard during the fall of 2019. We left a lot of the design decision to Barbara and we couldn't be happier. We were looking for a clean pleasant "cheery" presentation and that's exactly what was delivered. We thought the rate was fair and, if anything, Barbara discouraged us from unnecessary spending. In addition, the crew replaced our front walkway with a brick path and it's perfect. Barb at Nature’s Path Landscaping did a terrific landscape design for us a few years ago, in accord with our wish for low maintenance plantings that would provide continuous bloom through three seasons. She accommodated our design preferences and chose plantings that harmonize to provide depth, texture, and contrast. The front and back yard look better every year. I never dreamed that landscaping could make such a difference on a narrow lot, but the results are spectacular! Her team also created a brick patio that harmonizes with the design and has held up well over the years. I’m convinced that the work that Nature’s Path did has added value to the property far beyond the investment that we made.

Our condo building landscape design process and installation by Nature's Path has exceeded all expectations. We met Barbara this past spring when she came over to talk with us about our landscape update project. We talked with five different companies and were most impressed with Barbara - her vast knowledge, experience in our area, and creative and collaborative approach.
We received a concept plan that reflected our initial consultation, then met with Barbara to provide feedback. She understood our budgetary constraints as well as our wish to have a landscape that was easy to maintain. She came back with a very exciting comprehensive plan.
Barbara welcomed questions and provided us with options that maintained the integrity of the plan.
A few months later the installation was complete, despite weather challenges. Barbara oversaw everything and her crew was fantastic. They showed investment in doing the best work possible. A great deal of hard work and pride in what was accomplished impressed us all.
Many neighbors have stopped to admire the project. There are many landscaping companies to choose from, but we would strongly recommend Nature's Path. It was a pleasure working with them and we look forward to additional collaborations in the future!

I had an incredible experience with Evanston Landscaping. Our backyard needed a major overhaul, including our side pathway and a lawn that was in rapid decline. What I appreciated is that they helped us a develop a plan that fit within our budget. There was no pressure to upsell or upgrade what we wanted. The estimate was competitive and the work turned out great. I would suggest this company if you want someone to partner to make the best plan given your budget. Everyone from the team was friendly and responsive. I've used other companies before, but I'm planning to only use Evanston Landscaping for my future yard projects.
