We had Evanston Landscaping remove and rebuild the retaining wall across the front of our house in Wilmette, Illinois. They did a great job. The two people who did the work were professional and skilled. They worked hard and took pains to not damage our other landscaping. The wall is about 90’ long and it took them about 4ish days to complete. The finished wall is definitely a “curb appeal plus”. We would definitely have them back if we have another project.

We are so frustrated with Evanston Landscaping. We used their service for a year, we were very impressed. When we wanted to renew the contract for this year, they raised the price by 50%. Since we liked their service, we agreed. This spring, they have not come to perform the same quality of services at all. The spring cleaning was just ok, they did not trim the bushes, and they did not aerate. We contacted them multiple times, they said they would come out, it's been over two weeks and they still have not come out to aerate or trim the bushes. I loved their services last year, but it turns out it was just to get us hooked, raise the price, and provide less service. I am so pissed off right now that we fell for this. I wish they would continue the same quality of services especially for 50% higher price.

We have a big yard that had big issues and tackling major work on it was no easy task, but Courtlin and his crew of hard workers made it look fantastic. We have new sod and lovely brickwork, all done with attention to detail. These guys are easy to work with and were happy to accommodate some of my last-minute changes. We will be using Evanston Landscape again in the fall/next spring for additional work. Definitely recommend!

Evanston Landscaping did a great job on our property - we had them relocate two trees, design/plant our front yard and mulch the entire property. Courtlin's communication was great, which made the process seamless and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend them and we plan to use them again for future projects in the backyard.

I hired Evanston Landscaping for a makeover of my backyard last spring - plus maintenance - and happily wrote a positive review when prompted by Courtlin, the owner, after installation was complete. The transformation was beautiful and I was pleased with the job. Unfortunately, my experience working with Courtlin went completely downhill after the initial installation. The maintenance and fall cleanup were barely satisfactory and Courtlin's responsiveness to concerns slow or non-existent. As winter was ending, I had a number of issues with the backyard including the health of many of the plantings (a row of 15 arborvitaes was in particularly terrible shape). I told Courtlin that before considering his proposal for renewing annual maintenance (I actually wanted to give him another chance!) we needed to address the concerns in the backyard. For two months I've been chasing him to try and get some answers and resolution, and I've gotten nowhere. Mostly he just doesn't respond. When he does, there's no follow-thru. I paid $28,000 last spring for this "makeover" and maintenance. I could not be more frustrated or disappointed in Courtlin and Evanston Landscaping.
