Reviews of local pros in Geneva, Illinois

I chose Steve because of his stellar reviews, and luckily those reviews proved true. He was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would definitely use him again and wouldn't hesitate to refer him to my friends.

Steve is an excellent, knowledgeable electrician! He responds quickly to inquiries, and is very personable. In addition, he works very efficiently and is a professional. Steve's prices are very reasonable too. I highly recommend Steve Martin Electric, Inc.!

Steve was recommended by a friend and we couldn't have beeen more pleased with his quick response, integrity, and expertise. He even followed up a few days later to see if Com Ed had come through on their part of the project! I will call him in the future for all of our electrical needs.

I had a single bulb socket in my pantry that was ancient and falling out of the ceiling. I didn't feel comfortable replacing it myself so I started Googling and found Steve. He took the time to explain the wiring to me and showed me how he installed the new fixture. Very knowledgeable and personable! Not too expensive.

EXCELLENT ability to quote a job professionally by listening to and an exceptional ability to listen to the customer. Will be having Steve back in a week to wire my basement. Looking forward to working with him many times in the future and will highly recommend him to my family and friends. NICE JOB STEVE. YOU BEAT THE COMPETITION HANDS DOWN.

Steve Martin Electric moved the overhead power line to my house as well as installing all the electric to my new garage. Steve and his team exceeded expectations! High quality work, fair pricing, on time and also great to work with! Really can’t say enough good. Great find. I highly recommend!!!

Steve is very professional and was able to get the job done quickly for a reasonable price! Called him on a Monday and he was at my house Tuesday at noon! Very quick service!

Steve is a great electrician! He did all of the electrical for our kitchen and family room remodel. He has great ideas, very reasonable prices, did great work & is such a great guy! Highly recommend.

Working with Steve Martin was absolutely seamless and professional. At Pinkston-Tadd, Inc. Roofing, we ran into a snag and needed a quick response from a local electrician. We called Steve and he responded immediately. Not only did he complete the job quickly and effectively, but he treated our client with the upmost respect. This small act of kindness went a very long way for the reputation of our company. Anytime we have an issue, we now make sure to allow Steve the first opportunity to perform the work.

Steve is a very knowledgeable and efficient electrician, and is also personable and trustworthy. Steve does excellent work, and gives great advice and suggestions. Steve upgraded out service entrance and replaced the entire service panel very efficiently, saving us money and time. Thanks Steve!

I'm very thankful to have hired Steve Martin for the electrical work we needed done on our house. He is an excellent electrician; very knowledgeable, fair and honest. Steve is also one of the nicest guys I have ever met.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Steve Martin Electric. The initial phone call was handled professionally and with a lot of courtesy. Steve was punctual and communicated his arrival time as the appointment approached. He listened to my needs and gave me exactly what I asked for. He masked and covered the area around the work so as to protect my fireplace mantel and hearth stone with a lot of care. He also cleaned everything up before he left. The prices were fair and the work exceeded my expectations. He will be my first and only call for future needs.

We were having issues with our electric. There would be circuit breakers popping, especially when we tried to use the microwave and oven together. We had always had problems with our bathroom outlets. The hair dryers would pop the breaker every time. Since the house was 28 years old and after consulting with a friend of ours who had replaced his own electrical box, he suggested we have an electrician give us a professional evaluation of our situation. Through Google and Yelp we found Steve. After examining our situation, he told us what he felt needed to be done. After his explanation we decided to upgrade from a 100 amp box to a 150 box and replace the code required outlets with the correct GFCI outlets. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! In doing the work, Steve also discovered that there wasn't a ground rod that would ground a lightning strike if one ever occurred. When the house was built, apparently it was not required. I am glad we did this in light of all the lightning we have been experiencing lately. One can never be to safe! Steve is a complete professional. The quality of his work is outstanding. he explained everything to us clearly and was very patient with our lack of knowledge. I have no reservations about calling him again to do any additional work on our home. On top of all this, Steve is a kind, energetic and positive individual. I give him 5 stars and you should check him out!

We had Steve come out to do an electrical inspection after we bought a house. From the initial contact with Mike to the end of the inspection we received the highest customer service. Steve was very thorough in the inspection as well as explaining future options for us. He was patient with all of our questions and very knowledgeable. We are so excited to have found Steve Martin for any future electrical needs!

Steve is a gifted and knowledgeable electrician who is always enthusiastic about his work. He is capable of installing, engineering, and upgrading any piece of equipment out there with his wide skill base. He is the type to not only fix your given problem, but will also be happy to educate you to prevent future ones. Very happy and genuine, you can tell in an instant that he has a great passion for his craft and an immense love for his wife and kids. Above and beyond 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been in the trades for close to 20yrs now, have worked in multiple states, and am currently a General Contractor with Level Edge Builders LLC. We have been using Steve Martin Electric for all of our electrical projects for 7 years now. His prices are competitive, he's always on time and is a very knowledgeable electrician. He's trustworthy, has integrity and an all around great guy. As I always tell my customers, I trust him in my home with my family, I know you'll have an excellent experience. I highly recommend Steve Martin Electric for any electrical needs. Whether it be a small or large project it will be handled quickly and professionally!

Requested a quote from Steve along with two other electrical contractors. Steve provided a quote and detailed explanation of work, unlike the competition. Timely, competitive pricing and professional work. Our vintage 1958 home required retrofit reinstall of in-soffit lighting, can light install in family room and kitchen and hall bath fan installation. All work was done with pride and cleanliness. I highly recommend Steve for your home or business. Trustworthy and recommended without reservation!

Steve is a great guy and a very knowledgeable and skilled electrician. I will be recommending him to anyone and everyone that I can find who needs his service! He came to my house on very short notice and found and fixed what could have been a disaster! Because of his knowledge and skill and him going the extra mile to fix it correctly, my home and my family will be safe for a long time to come! Thanks again for all your help, Steve!

I called this company because I needed a heater added to my basement. Steve gave me a great price. He was very polite and professional. I highly recommend this company. If honesty and professionalism is your thing (and it better be), then Steve is your guy. I will definitely use him for ALL my future electrical needs!!!

I needed to change out an 18 foot ceiling fan and add an electrical outlet. We received multiple quotes and Steve was by far the most thorough in making sure we got exactly what we needed and was very competitively priced. We were able to get the job scheduled quickly and Steve was on time, quick, and clean - exactly what you want in a contractor. I would very much recommend Steve Martin Electric.

We have had Steve out 3 times to hang ceiling fans to installing new kitchen pendants. He is on time and does fantastic work! We are having him back to install a new exhaust fan in our shower too! Super friendly and great pricing. Highly recommend!
