Reviews of local pros in Geneva, Illinois

John Vendafreddo and the entire Hogan team created two new functional and fun spaces in our home that were previously underutilized. We love how the project turned out, and John and the entire team's experience, expertise, and communication were nothing but professional. I highly recommend Hogan!

Hogan Design and Construction built the home we moved into and has completed several additional projects (new dining room and new laundry room). Under the project leadership of John Vendafreddo the experience and outcome has been outstanding. Overall, the entire team from the office manager to owner is friendly, responsive and very professional. And I know I can always count on John to take a call for a follow up question, request or his advice. The relationship does not end when the final check is paid and the project is competed. It continues for as long as you live in a home they have touched with their craftsmanship and professionalism.

In addition, like us, Hogan truly recognizes the importance of following their company core values, protecting their client's investment and serving everyone with integrity and care. We value Hogan's relationship and we look forward to our continued partnership to serve them for many years to come.

WOW was my experience incredible.Sandy is fabulous, so responsive and friendly. Doug is the person who came to the house and learned my desire to change from a screened in porch to a 3 season room. Doug is so courteous, friendly and respectful that it makes this journey fun. For each detail, he offered suggestions/alternatives.
When I learned my eyes were bigger than my wallet, I scaled back my requirements and Doug offered a new cost. Though I haven’t made my final decision of who gets the contract, I can’t express enough to potential customers that HOGAN is exactly who you are looking for.

We just finished up having two bathrooms remodeled. Could not be happier with the process and the final results. Our project manger, Doug P, was here every day to check on the progress and kept a meticulous punch list. Doug often found little problems we did not even notice and saw everything through to completion.

We previously had worked with a different company for our kitchen renovation and it was a much more difficult process and the final results did not meet our expectations.

We have recommended Hogan to neighbors and friends and even some people passing by who saw the lawn sign and stopped to ask about our remodeling.

Highly recommend Doug P and all the Hogan resources that worked on our bathrooms. Could not be happier.

We could not be more pleased with the experience and results of our work with Hogan Design. Our investment has yielded a great return in terms of satisfaction and happiness. The team is great and the project manager John has been especially professional and helpful!

Hogan Design and Construction have far surpassed my expectations and they continue to do so over a year after our project was completed. Just this week we reached out to John Vendafreddo (our project manager) with an issue regarding one of the space heaters they installed on our covered deck. John came out right away to troubleshoot the issue, and not only got the heater working, but provided us with information and contacts should we run into issues again. The level of care and service is unmatched, which is why we will continue to choose Hogan for all of our future projects.

Hogan Construction has truly been a professional organization to work with. Doug was our project manager, and he ensured we were always updated with what was going on. As with any project, we had a few changes along the way, but Doug kept everything on track and adjusted the plan as it needed to be. In the end, the final project was fantastic, and we are extremely happy.

Hogan Construction built our beautiful row house and did a fabulous job. Highest quality craftsmanship on every detail. We are very happy with our home!

Hogan's customer service is also excellent. They are quick to respond to every question and request.

Hogan just completed a huge renovation project involving multiple rooms in our home. The outcome is absolutely beautiful, and everything turned out exactly as we’d hoped! The process from beginning to end was designed to make the experience as easy as possible for the homeowner, and customer service is top notch (an attribute which makes this company much different from many others). Brad was very helpful during the initial stages with determining the scope and estimate of the project, and Kasia was wonderful to work with developing the design. John V. was our project manager who executed the plan, and tailor made every detail to make everything perfect. He was so patient and kind, and excellent communicating the next steps throughout the project. Do not hesitate to hire Hogan- these are the people you want working on your home!

We coordinated the design of two bathrooms with the design architect and suppliers they recommended. Upon completion of design we contracted for construction services. All was completed on schedule and within final design estimates. We are thrilled with the workmanship, detail and final results.

Working side by side with Hogan Design & Construction has been a great experience! Doug and all the team are so friendly and easy to work with. All of the projects I have been on the customers are very pleased with the outcome and customer experience throughout their project. I highly recommend Hogan design & Construction for any of your building or remodeling needs.

Hogan Design helped renovate the cottage in our backyard and the service and quality of the work was AMAZING!! Construction can be so stressful and over budget but not with Hogan. They will be so helpful through the whole process. Ask for John V to be your Project Manager - he's THE BEST!!!

Hogan just completed a second project at my home! Doug and his team made it so easy to live (and work from home !!!) during the remodel! Can’t recommend them enough!

Hogan Design & Construction was a pleasure to work with. Brian and his team were always courteous and professional. When we had obstacles Brian was attentive and workable. The end product was a great building that won awards from the city & we get tons of compliments from the public. I would do business with them again.

HDC has helped us complete a couple projects in our home, as well as some of our friends. They responded to all of our requests and worked closely with us to make sure we were satisfied. We recommend them without hesitation. We recently relocated to Nashville and sorely miss a quality contractor like Hogan!

We recently hired Hogan Design and Construction to remodel our kitchen and laundry room, and I can honestly say it’s been life-changing. From the very beginning, the team was warm, professional, and truly listened to what I wanted. My designer, Kasia, made me feel heard and understood—she took my ideas, offered thoughtful suggestions, and turned them into a design that felt both beautiful and “me.” Walking into the finished spaces now, I’m blown away by how they look and how well they work for our family.
The workmanship is outstanding. Every cabinet, countertop, and fixture was carefully chosen and perfectly installed, and the quality of the materials shows. Doug, our project manager, was amazing—he kept everything on track, respected our home like it was his own, and always made sure I felt comfortable and informed.
What impressed me most was the pride everyone took in their work. It wasn’t just about finishing the job—it was about creating spaces that would bring joy to our daily lives. I absolutely love my new kitchen and laundry room, and I smile every time I walk into them. I wholeheartedly recommend Hogan to anyone looking to transform their home—you’ll be in the best hands.

Working with Hogan for our second floor remodel has been flawless! The design and quality of the work is exceptional. Every person who came to our home was professional, polite and well qualified. Hogan excels when it comes to service and communication.
Our project manager, Doug, consistently went above and beyond. He kept the project on time and on budget. He made sure we were happy with the how things were going throughout the project. This was our second project with Hogan and we went back to them because we knew it would be done right and the process would be as seamless as possible.

We had a fantastic experience working with Hogan Construction on our basement remodel. Doug, our project manager, was a total pro. Super communicative, organized, and genuinely respectful of our home and family throughout the entire process. He really went above and beyond to make sure every detail was handled right. The final result is better than we imagined. They transformed our old basement into a fully finished space with a brand new gym, bedroom, bathroom, and tons of extra storage. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and the whole team was a pleasure to work with. We’d absolutely recommend them.

Sandy is so kind, sweet, and helpful! Doug came out to our house and was so patient, caring, smart, and resourceful! He helped guide us in the right direction to get our project done. We could not have done this without them. If you want a company with kindness and integrity, Hogan is the best choice! We hope to work with them in the future! It's hard to find honest and compassionate companies, and they go above and beyond! 100 out of 10! Thank you so much!

We loved working with Hogan -- we didn't need to worry about any coordination between different contractors for our kitchen renovation. Our PM Doug was a really excellent, reasonable, and respectful communicator. He had our interests in mind all throughout the project and he was a clear advocate us and for the project going well for everyone involved. When challenges came up, he addressed them honestly and was very clear about the issue and why something was happening. We wouldn't hesitate to work with Hogan again!
