Reviews of local pros in Geneva, Illinois

We have 2 remodeling projects with Hogan over the last two years. Lower level and bathroom 1st, then a total kitchen remodel. Very pleased with the results, especially the kitchen remodel. Their subcontractors are way better than we could ever find ourselves and our PM, Johnny V., was committed to getting it all done correctly and brought in the kitchen remodel on schedule!

We hired Hogan Design & Construction to do a 2-story addition to our downtown Geneva shop, 318 Coffee House. They were such an amazing and talented team to work with. They allowed us to dream big and execute a personal gorgeous redesign of our space using found objects as well as new construction. Hogan cares not only about making beautiful designs, but also making their own community beautiful and functional. They helped us jump through many hoops with the City of Geneva and the Historical Preservation Society here. They have been supportive in so many additional ways above and beyond a normal construction company. They frequently visit us, they check in on us and those personal touches mean the world to us and our small family business. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about them and so many of their employees, especially Doug Panozzo, and John Vendafreddo. We also worked with a design team they work with, Haven Design, and developed great relationships with their subcontractors as well. We highly recommend!

Hired Hogan Design & Construction (GC = Doug Panozzo) to build out a 12,000 square foot commercial basement into a Youth Center. The new space looks absolutely amazing! Doug was awesome and so was his subs. Doug's leadership in managing all the Village and Fire Inspections was very much appreciated. Love these guys!

I am a licensed Community Manager. We discovered very serious structural damage at one of the buildings that I manage. Hogan Construction did wonderful work, both inside and out. Their work was absolutely stellar, and they were extremely professional. I would highly recommend them for any construction project, large or small.

We just completed a full basement buildout with the team at Hogan. From start to finish, the entire team (design, project management, subs) was wonderful to work with. The build included a number of custom features (full wet bar, wine cellar, golf simulator and sauna) and the team’s attention to detail and commitment to quality across all aspects resulted in a finished work product that exceeded even our very high expectations. Most importantly to us, communication was constant, concise and clear throughout the entire project. John, our lead project manager, and his right-hand man Jason were constantly on-site and highly visible throughout all phases of construction (including bringing Friday donuts for our kids!), managed subcontractors and schedules meticulously, and handled the few inevitable hiccups of construction like seasoned pros. Can’t recommend the team at Hogan enough.

This is our 2nd Hogan project. We were very satisfied with our first project because of the professional manner of all aspects of the project. Our first project was a kitchen remodel (still love!) and the most recent was installing an outdoor bathroom and reconfiguring our master bedroom/bathroom. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Everything was on time, we always knew the schedule, attention to detail, friendly staff, quality work, quick response time to questions or concerns.
On a side note, we had done a project in which I called different contractors to do a major bathroom remodel. In other words, I was my own project manager. It ended up being a mess because afterwords things went wrong ( major pipe leak and shoddy workmanship)
You get what you pay for. Hogan does the job start to finish and it's all on them! I would highly recommend Hogan. Once you are with them they are like family. You can always count on them!

It was a small guest bathroom and hallway remodle. My vision came to life with no stress as John, the project manager, organized a timetable that coordinated a very smooth process. The real enjoyment came at the end of each day when we looked to see the exceptional work that had been done. Their daily clean up made the 2+ week process very easy to live around, and the friendliness of each trade professional was A+
Since I want the best service with quality work, I will be calling Hogan Design in the future.

Hogan has just completed the second major remodel project. It was our upstairs, which included the master bathroom, a new open closet floor plan, refinished hardwood floors, and re-carpeting of two rooms. Just as with the first project, Hogan made this experience equally as fantastic. Hogan also does a great job hiring contractors who provide high-quality products and services. On time, on budget, and communication was exceptional! A huge thank you to Doug, Jason, Mike and the entire Hogan team.

Hogan Construction is a reputable company and I highly recommend them. Communication is the number one priority when you are doing a remodel on your home. The entire team including the contractors were excellent in communicating with us. Keeping in constant contact with the daily details. The finished work was exactly what I envisioned.

We had two bathrooms remodeled by Hogan. They were taken down to the studs and rebuilt. We opted to visit suppliers and create our own design. With the scope of this project, there had to be a glitch or two in product timing and/ or availability. What I loved about Hogan and specifically our GM, Doug was that he consistently kept us in the loop. He was clear with information and never presented a problem without a possible solution AND he did it in person. No late night texts. Every sub was experienced and specialized in his craft.
It was worth the time and money to have Doug manage the project. 5 stars!

I hired Hogan after a recommendation from a friend and I'm so glad I did. Home remodeling is stressful and Hogan made it a smooth process. From my first phone call to the last day of my project, I knew I was in good hands. My designer and project manager were by my side for entire job. Let's not forget the incredible subs that work with them, professional and caring. My kitchen is beautiful and I couldn't be happier. Its amazing to look at the drawings now and see it looks just like I imagined. If you want great communication and a transparent experience, call Hogan. You will not be disappointed.

We had an excellent experience working with Doug Panozzo at Hogan Design & Construction. Doug went above and beyond in helping us choose the best possible paint for our home and living situation, ensuring every detail was tailored to our needs. He also provided thoughtful recommendations for our three-seasons room, including the perfect indoor/outdoor fan, lighting, speakers, and screened windows. His knowledge and guidance made the entire process smooth and stress-free, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

On top of that, we’ve been consistently impressed with the quality of work the entire Hogan team has delivered for our other family members as well. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. Doug truly stands out—he’s professional, attentive, and simply the best. We highly recommend him and Hogan Design & Construction!

I’m so happy we found Hogan Design & Construction after having a pretty horrible experience with another contractor. The quality of work was not just amazing but their customer service was top notch. We were fortunate to get partnered up with John V. as our project manager and he treated our family as if we were the most important clients he has ever had. We had a covered deck built off the back of our home and it turned out better than we could have ever imagined. John communicated every step of the project and made sure we were completely satisfied as each milestone was met. I highly recommend HDC for any home project no matter how big or small.

We recently hired Hogan Design and Construction to remodel our kitchen and laundry room, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the team was professional, reliable, and a pleasure to work with. Our designer, Kasia, took the time to listen to our ideas, offered thoughtful suggestions, and kept us updated throughout the design process. We trusted her guidance, and the results are spectacular.

The craftsmanship is exceptional—every detail was handled with care, and the finished spaces are both beautiful and functional. Hogan sourced the cabinets, countertops, lighting, and flooring, all of which are high-quality and perfectly suited to our home. A special thanks goes to Doug, our project manager, who kept everything on schedule, respected our home, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was completed to perfection.

It’s rare to find a contractor who combines great communication, skill, and genuine pride in their work, but Doug, Kasia, and the entire Hogan team (including their subcontractors) delivered all of that and more. We absolutely love our new kitchen and laundry room and would recommend Hogan without hesitation to anyone considering a remodel.

We just completed a renovation of our basement and could not be more pleased with our decision to use Hogan Design & Construction! Their communication and project management were seamless. Our Project Manager, Doug Panozzo, was incredible to work with! He updated us daily and made sure to deliver our project on time and on budget. The entire team was respectful of our home and our family. We are so happy with the final product and quality Hogan provided.

We live over in Batavia and honestly we're not sure a company from Geneva would want to come out for what we thought was a small job just a guest bath redo Dynamix was totally fine with it though the estimate was detailed not just one lump number but broken out by labor n materials ended up also having them redo the flooring in the hallway outside the bathroom

Had our kitchen cabinets and countertops replaced along with a new backsplash. The old cabinets were builder-grade from the 90s and they were falling apart.. shelves sagging, doors not closing right. The new ones are a shaker style in a darker finish and they make the whole room feel different. The counters are quartz and the edges are done well, no rough spots or visible seams where the pieces meet at the corner. The backsplash ties everything together and they laid it right up to the window trim so there's no awkward gap. They also swapped out the under-cabinet lighting to LEDs which was something we asked about during planning. Took about three weeks from demo to the final walkthrough. The kitchen is where we spend most of our time and it actually feels like a space we want to be in now. DynaMix did good work and the finished product matches what they promised us in the design phase.

Quick and professional service, love our remodeled bathroom.

Our new kitchen looks amazing, highly recommend service.

So pleased with our bathroom renovation. It’s stylish and functional now.

Quick and professional bathroom remodel. They transformed the space exactly how I envisioned
