Constraction reviews in Oak Park, Illinois

Rick was great. He was very thorough in his inspection and invited us to follow along with the entire time - which was great for a first time home buyer. He provided details, opinions, and possible solutions throughout the process. Would definitely use them again.

Rick Sabatino of Premium Home Inspections has always been great to work with. My family and I have used his services in the past and recently needed a home inspection. As always Rick responded quickly and coordinated w/ our realtor for a quick appointment. He was thorough in his inspection and provided us with a report within a couple of days. We thank Rick & recommend him for his professional work!

Rick was terrific! Available, responsive and very thorough. Provided excellent context and insight. Would highly recommend.

We were impressed with Rick from our first communication to the final report. He is detailed, professional, his response time was fast, and he made time to come out within 3 days for a home inspection.

Rick vocalized all the main items that needed our attention, walked around the house to point out particular points and then answered any questions we had. He was also honest to say where inspector's knowledge is limited and where other professionals should be called in for an outside opinion. Rick found some areas of the home that was very important to be considered prior to purchasing and I would have definitely missed it if he had not found it. He did not rush his job at all.

We found him to be flexible, honest, knowledgeable, and helpful. If we were going to purchase another home, I would be contacting Rick again. Thanks again!

Mr. Sabatino is thorough, organized, and professional. Walk around with him, ask questions also and he will help you understand what you are concerned about. Be sure to also look beyond the excellent home inspection offered to the history of the home.
While you will get other help from Mr Sabatino, such as concierge services, and warranties, assess yourself issues about the property such as length of time a roof is likely to last. A leak can cause mold, and damage to the inside ceiling etc., cost of such is high so making sure roof will last at least ten years. The latter is my opinion based on ownership of many homes over the years.
Assess if recent work has been done to code etc., I found from the city the house I had an offer on, was in violation of codes. This meant the deal of sale could not be recorded until ,and if , such were remedied.
Therefore an excellent home inspection is only part of the process. A very good realtor is also only part of the process. The buyer has to engage in assessment of the property from all sources available.

Rick was wonderful and very informative throughout this process as a first time homebuyer. He explained everything thoroughly and made sure to address any concerns or questions I had. Highly recommend him!!

Rick came highly recommended by our attorney. He was prompt, professional, and thorough. As he inspected the house we had an offer to buy, he saw things we never would have seen. He tested at he furnace, the kitchen appliances, and washer and dryer. There were other insights he provided us in his complete report. What a knowledgeable and experienced home inspector. We highly recommend this company!
