We have used this company a number of times over the years both for ourselves and our clients. They are reliable, well priced, knowledgeable and courteous.

My fiance hired lucke plumbing for work rough in for kitchen inspection failed due to no clean out under cabinet we called lucke they came out and wouldn't perform work because they said it wasn't included but we read the I voice and it was included overall they called village on us for having someone else do the work that they were supposed to do very shady and dishonest be careful if you hire them

Tony was professional, thorough and he did a great job repairing issues with upstairs and downstairs toilets. He didn't waste any time and I was able to get back to work quickly. Thanks Tony-

Crooks. Charged my parents $245 to rod a bathroom sink. How on earth could it take an experienced plumber 1.5 hours to do this. My husband used to do this and he said it should have costed about $125 and taken about 45 minutes.

Well when Dave from Lucke Plumbing retires, I am in trouble. Year after year he comes to service my boiler, the original heating source for my 1917 Wilmette house. Year after year he shakes his head and gives it another passing grade. I know anybody else would long since have told me it's time for a new furnace. Thank you, Dave, for loyally and ably keeping my "old faithful" alive for me. You are one of a kind for my 100 year old one of a kind!

I have had recurrent, monthly, sewer back up for the past 7 months. Lucke Plumbing came out each month, rodded out the drain, and the problem recurred in a month. Frustratingly, they never returned my calls requesting both an explanation for the frequent recurrences and for a solution. Neither did they utilize a camera to visualize the problem until I suggested that may be they should look first to see what the obstruction is. They never got back to me with a report on what they saw, despite repeatedly calling their office. Ultimately last week, about a week after their final visit, my basement flooded and I sustained considerable property damage and a costly clean up. All of this would have been avoided if they had tried to diagnose and fix the problem rather than repeatedly do the same thing and expect a different outcome. I've called twice since the flood and they have still not responded! DISCOURTEOUS AND INCOMPETENT!

Lucke you amaze me; this time not for the good plumbing work, but for keeping my home life pleasant. The last three contractors we've had in our home; left messes for, talked down to, and over all left a bad feeling with my wife that I haven't yet heard the end of. After calling Lucke Plumbing Monday first thing, I was waiting, just waiting for something to go wrong, more than that was dreading walking in the door at days end. I came home and not one word was said about the Plumber having been there at all. In fact I was a little nervous that they even came at all. Yet disposal worked, no more water under the sink, and wife was in a good mood.

I don't know how you did it. but you did. Thank you again. Sorry I haven't reviewed you yet, all the other good work you have done for us has not gone unnoticed.

Premium pricing, fly-by-night service

I had Lucke replace a faucet stop in August 2021, the rookie plumber initially sent was not up to the job, so a second, more experienced plumber was dispatched. The stop began spurting water in September 2022, my building super and another plumber determined it was because the fitting had been overtightened by the rookie (and was visibly cracked when removed). When I raised this to Lucke, they informed me that their guarantee on their work stands for only 90 days. When I emphasized to a supervisor, Dave, that this was an elementary mistake clearly attributable to Lucke's work and asked whether they would stand by their work, his only comment was that they "stand by their 90-day policy." So I paid another plumber to fix it. Bottom line: You may get very competent work from Lucke, but you might not. And if the latter, don't expect much in the way of redress.

These guys are great! I unfortunately have needed them more than I would like, but each time I have called they have come right out and taken care of my problem. I can not say enough about this company.

I've been a handyman for almost 30 years and most of that I've been referring my customers to Lucke Plumbing. They take great care of my customers with great service and value.

Had a sewer backup and needed it rodded, quickly. They had issues with the machine, and with the plug for the sewer pipe (it's an old sewer line) but they stayed with it until everything was resolved, and charged an extremely reasonable price. Dave and his crew are all really friendly, and they clean up after themselves. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend Lucke Plumbing! I needed a bathroom faucet replaced along with a couple of shut off valves. Super friendly and knowledgeable- they did a wonderful job and left everything cleaner than they found it for a very reasonable price. I’ll definitely be using them again.

This is a smaller family-run company. They do great work, and are very knowledgeable and courteous. I've had to call them out to my house three times now and the work was rock solid. Their prices are fair as well, and are great when compared to larger companies out there, probably because they don't have an entire marketing department or expensive quoting software licenses to pay for. When you see any trade bust out an ipad for quoting you just know it's going to be expensive.
