We love stopping in any time of year for outdoor or indoor plants. The plants we have purchased always do well for us, and the staff are always so kind and helpful. They have some very obscure plants as well that are fun to browse.

We used Chalet for outdoor landscaping and the end result was very disappointing. The company even used a number of my plants that I already had there as well, which was surprising with the price we paid.

I voiced my concern that I wasn’t liking what I was seeing and was told to wait for the plants to mature and fill in. Two of the trees died and we removed them. A number of the other plants died as well. I waited and reached out when I was told to do so and the response we got did not help me. Bottom line, if you need outdoor landscaping seek assistance from a different company or just ask your landscaper because we basically paid $10,000 and the end result makes my heart hurt every time I look at our front landscaping. So disappointing. I did not expect the lack of customer service and sad end result from such a company. Usually, I wouldn’t say/write anything, but I don’t want anyone else to feel this way about their landscaping. Do better Chalet!

The staff were great and very knowledgeable as well as helpful. The prices here are ok, I know I am getting a healthy plant from here and I don't have to worry about it dieing by the time I get it home.

Magnificent. Freshest plants all year 'round and holiday greens. Amazing gifts and home decor. Exceptional designers. The best Horticulturist - Jennifer Brennan. So knowledgeable and helpful. And then there is the holiday season Santa and real live "reindeer." Check them out!

One of the best nurseries I have been to before. So much eye candy and rare/ unusual plants ranging from natives, edibles, landscaping, and tropical. Some of the most vigorous and healthy/ mature plants around. Staff are very professional and friendly. Have nice seasonal changes as well. A+++

We completely revamped our front and back yards last summer. We worked with Maddy from design to finish and she was amazing. She listened to what our preferences were (lots of color, low maintenance perennials, etc) and together, eventually (after I changed my mind a few times….mind you Maddy was very patient during process) ,we came up with a great plan. Everything was planted in the brutal heat of last summer. Some plants made it, some did not. I don’t blame the Chalet for this as the weather was unprecedently hot. When we noticed that some plants weren’t doing well, Maddy was out immediately to assess, discuss with her team and ultimately replaced those plants. I know there is a guarantee on the plants but the way the issues were handled was amazing. No questions….just “we will change them out and do what will make you happy”.
The Chalet also came out to do our spring clean up and prepped what will be a great season of watching the garden thrive. Maddy also provided pictures of everything they planted and provided “as planted “ photos and descriptions of their care needed, length of bloom time, etc. The photos posted may look scarce but it’s their first rodeo. The Chalet created what we have dreamed about for years and made us happy beyond our wildest dreams. We can’t wait to see the growth over the years. Thank you so much Maddy and The Chalet! The key thing to remember
With the Chalet is „You get what you Pay for.
They have expert advisors on hand at all times. I have not found they are any more expensive than other similar-sized nurseries, like Lurvey’s. I’ve compared
Prices and they’re not that much different. If you just need flats, you could find somewhat cheaper options elsewhere ( but even small Windy City Gardens, on Greenbay Rd Evanston, charges about the same. If you’re willing to drive 45-60 minutes away, you can find cheaper prices at far-flung nurseries, so it depends on how much you value your time as well. Two-hour round trip vs. 20 minutes. For large Purchases ( say 20-, 50 of a certain bush), the time would be worth it. Time or money? The eternal quandary.

I've driven by many times and am so pleased we finally stopped in. This place is fantastic. We spent at least three hours exploring and admiring some of the beautiful and rare plants they have. We didn't leave empty-handed and welcomed home a new plant to accompany our new baby. The staff was so kind and helpful, going above and beyond. They even brought us an umbrella when it began to rain. So many beautiful options. I wish we had more room for it all!
