Excellent service. These guys are top notch! Pulled a nasty clump of roots out of my sewer line and made sure the entire line was clear after the clump was removed.

They came the very next day for service after I called for service. They gave me a two hour window on when they would arrive. Called shortly after the time I was quoted and was done within 2 hours. Great service!

Called them Monday because of sewage backing up into our home. They called me back the next day and said they would be here Thursday. NEVER SHOWED UP! Didn’t even give me a courtesy call until the next day when he apologizes and says he’ll be here then Friday. NEVER SHOWED UP AGAIN!!! Very unprofessional!!

Great person. Did a fantastic job with my plumbing. I highly recommend him. And I will be using him again. He told us everything that was going on with the plumbing.

Sewer was backed up and it was Sunday. Called Gene's and they came out within and hour. Justin was friendly and got the drain open quick. Very affordable highly recommend

A gentleman Stephan came to the rescue for a flooding basement. He was very prompt, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. After he augured the toilet downstairs and was ready to leave, city utilities came over to check the sewer drains. Stephan stuck around and when they were finished he tried auguring again in case that would get more. He went above and beyond for customer service and I definitely suggest this company!

They never showed up. Your response is not true. I called the office 40 minutes past the 2 hour window12-2. I've owned a home 33 years, every contractor is late. You never called me. I called you. I actually like you and only have used you, I would have understood if you had just called. Xo

I would give less stars if I could. This company showed up, started the job, and then left without finishing or communicating with me that there was a problem. They began work on a public right-of-way without a permit and have yet to resolve this issue with the ROW department. After calling several times over the course of the morning and receiving no answer, Josh finally returned my call. He was incredibly rude and confrontational and demamded full payment up front before he would consent to finish the job. I refused his services.

We called over the weekend and set up for a tech to come snake the drain inside the kitchen. We were told on Tuesday am no one could come out because of the zero temp the time we had scheduled was 11 to 1. So no one told us on Wed it would be a different time 3 to 5. This is not professional. The guy Mike has no customer service skills told me if I didn't like it I could call another company. You do not talk to customers in that manner.
We had places to be between 3 and 5 no one ever considered that. But that's ok I have someone that will come out .

I was hesitant at first to call Gene's Sewer Service as I assumed a lack of professionalism because they didn't have a flashy website. But after speaking to RRooter and being quoted almost $400 to snake my main drain, I obliged. Gene's technicians were prompt and extremely professional, in and out in less than an hour. When I received the bill I almost fell over, almost 1/4 of the price of the rooter. Do yourself and your wallet a favor, call Gene next time you need a plumber!

Absolute great customer service, called and with in an hour they came out and cleaned out my blocked sewer drain! Was on a Sunday and also had the best price in town! Will be my first call from now on when I need any sewer work done. Very satisfied customer!

We used genes sewer service for over 10 years. In the last year so a young man named Michael has taken over the company. He now tries to con elderly people into paying three times the amount they paid for years. He also claims or has his service Men was ho come out put on the invoice that they augured the tile 100 foot which is an extra charge, and is quite shady considering its on 52' to the sewer line.
When we called their office to ask why we were being charged after hours rates for a 430 appointment we were screamed at and told that 'Genes doesn't NEED customers like you'. Wow. Thanks, considering the dozens of times our family has used your service thats kind of shocking. We miss the old man Gene, bring him back long enough to get this idiot Michael in check before a great business closes forever due to his rudeness.

Had a clogged kitchen sink. Josh and Jeff came and cleared it out. They both were very knowledgeable and super professional. I will definitely use Gene's anytime I have a problem. I would highly recommend them. Keep up the good work!

Was dealing with backed up storm drain in my basement for better part of a week. Called Em first thing in morning after failing to fix it myself and they fit me in within the hour. They had drain cleared and flowing better than ever within 30mins for very reasonable price compared to the rooter companies. Thanks again Gene's Sewer Service!

This was the second time I used Gene's and will probably be the last. They stopped at the obstruction in our basement that eventually turned out to be tree roots. In all fairness they did clean out the pipeline to the main problem but they didn't complete the job. I had someone else come in and they finished the job. Money was wasted. Should have hired someone wa camera to begin with.

I spent $5000 with this company in June, 2018 to fix my ongoing sewer problem. They put in a cleanout outside in my front yard. They left the pipe sticking out of the ground 3 feet right in front of my porch. I didn't complain because it was working... until now. Eight months later, the sewer is plugged up again. They came out and cleaned it out. Only to have it plug up again 1 week later. I noticed it was plugged up on a Friday night, so I called first thing Monday morning and left a message. They did not return my call. So I called again Tuesday and they answered. They couldn't get back out until Thursday. So Thursday afternoon they clean it out but never checked the toilets. The sewage had been backing up in the basement, so I was spraying the cement floor to get the bits of toilet paper off the floor and it backed up again. This was that same evening. I called them and left a message and they blamed the problem on my girls putting tampons down the toilet. I called another plumber. I would advise you to do the same!

Came home from work to find my sewer was backed up. Called Gene's and they had someone at my house within 1 1/2 hours. Justin was awesome and took the time to explain what he was doing! I will use them whenever I need sewer care!

I've utilized Gene's several times since moving into a rather old home in North Highlands in 2013. EVERY time, they have been friendly, professional and informative. They even fixed a problem that another plumber (that I had to use because of a homeowner's contract that the previous owner had purchased when he sold the house)! In fact, I am calling Gene's this morning because I had a "brain fart" and put chicken and noodles down my disposal, something I was told not to do the last time I clogged my drain! I highly recommend Gene's Sewer Service.

I contacted Gene's to come look at a drainage issue. After a guy came to my house and working with my insurance company, I asked them to give me a quote on installing a water line to replace my well due the plumbing issue(step 1 of the problem). Moving forward and after agreed verbal work including Fred telling me "Monday you will have fresh water", Monday came and hour later said the company didn't have the permits and couldn't complete the job. One would think the company would know what they could do or what not. So after refusing to pay for services rendered but not accurate quoted, the owner "Michael" actually texted me several threats to : have by water turned off, send a crew to remove his equipment if I didn't pay right away, all illegal. Funny thing is no one that actually works for Gene's was ever on the project, just a sub Gene's apparently hired out. Stay away because the bottom line is the "owner" Michael will try to bully you or threaten you if you question them. I asked questions prior and was told they would look into it, never did. Customer must not be right because they never tried to settle this, only threatened me and assumed their "sub" was correct and now he is taking me to court for refusal to pay. Keep in mind, no one from Gene's ever was at my property and while all this was happening, apparently Michael was out of town. I had to hire another company to finish what they said they could do but couldn't. Oh and if Gene's responds: why would I or anyone hire Gene's to do a partial job, and then hire another company to finish the job when there are other companies that could have done the entire job was my question to Michael, why would I hire Gene's to do a partial job only to have to hire someone else to finish? Look at how they left my yard, beware!!!

As any sewer issue, this was an emergency! After calling 6 different sewer services with no help, I finally called Gene's. They were able to have someone at my location in less than an hour. They were able to cure my sewer problem! Service was speedy, help was wonderful, price was way fair. I highly recommend this company!
