Called around to get some quotes for some handyman/fence work to prepare for selling my house. Sean was quick to get back to me and showed up same day to take a look at the job site. Not only did he quote me at significantly lower than the competition, he also threw in a few free-bees that really helped me out. These included, fixing my screen door, removing trash from my yard, taking my trash cans out to the curb and back in. He quoted me for repairing some rot on the side of my shed, and instead just replaced the entire side of the shed for me. The quality of work was on par with the more expensive companies and he was able to get the job done in just two days. On top of everything else, Sean is just a cool guy to work with. He has tons of fun stories about when he used to fight professionally - so be sure to ask him to share his stories!

I plan to use him again for future projects and will recommend him to all my friends who need work done as well.

After having an awful time trying to work with a different contractor company I finally reached out to Renaissance and Sean was just amazing. He was very patient with all my questions and KEPT COMMUNICATION during the entire process of quoting and fixing my house. He knocked out 2 jobs on my list in less than a week! I can not wait to continue working with him with the rest of my projects on my list. Also his prices are very reasonable!

Renaissance did a great job finishing our cedar shake siding when I got too busy to do it myself. They even came out on a Sunday to fit us in early.

After Best Buy damaged our carpet delivering our new washer and removing the old one, we called Renaissance upon a friend of mine‘s recommendation.

To make a long story short, we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Sean suggested we ditch the carpet and use our leftover LVP flooring that we had from three years ago on the stairs. He further suggested we put the leftover tile we had from last year under the stairs.

We love our new staircase, and love even more that we didn’t have to spend any money on materials.

I don’t live in Indiana anymore, so consider this a character review. The guy who owns this place has been a friend since elementary school. He is built from different stuff than most people. Extremely hard working, committed to excellence, big heart and also tough as nails if any one tries to do the wrong thing. He holds people to that same standards as he holds himself. It’s the golden rule in action. His family ran a very successful appliance repair business for many many years, and long the way he learned how to take care of people and the benefits of a long term customer focused viewpoint that thrives on repeat business over the long haul. It’s not surprising the reviews are so strong if you know the character of the guy running things. He is as generous as anyone I’ve known and will literally give you the shirt of his back if you need to make a large tent to stay out of the elements…the guy is HUGE. If he says he can do it, he will do it, and it will be done as well as a can be done. If I ever move back It’ll be the only company I call.

Sean is great guy to work with on home repair. He is willing to help you out when dealing with an insurance claim. It took me 3 months of fighting with insurance company but with his help of coming to my house during inspections and coming to my house multiple times to take pictures for insurance company (Allstate is the worse-change now!) Definitely recommend him to anyone!

We hired Renaissance to fix a leaking window that no other company was willing to or able to fix.

The last company I called before Renaissance (that shall remain nameless) sent out a guy named Rob. For starters, Rob showed up two hours late for his 10 am appointment.

Next, 15 minutes after Rob arrived he told us it was time for him to take his lunch break. He said it was company policy as well as his doctor’s orders. Rob said “I gotta get my pohtate” whatever that meant, and walked outside to his rundown A-Team looking van.

Five minutes later, he walks back in with a plastic vintage Dukes of Hazzard lunch box and sat right down and made himself comfortable at our family’s heirloom 150 year old dining table…..without bothering to ask for permission.

Rob then proceeded to eat his lunch over the next 90 minutes while reading the funny papers from the previous Sunday’s newspaper. I must’ve heard 4 separate times “I’ll tell you what beetle Bailey is just too much for me!” as he would laugh hysterically. Little did I know the fun was just beginning.

Over a period of three days Rob had one excuse after the another as to why he could not get the window fixed. Between doing 10 second robot style breakdancing moves while pulling the trigger on his drill, before he used it each time, and telling me about his days as a famous musician in a rock band called “Hard Bacon”, it’s no surprise that our window never got fixed.

By the third day, I told my beautiful wife that we just need to just try someone else.

That’s when a friend of mine recommended Renaissance. I was hesitant at first, but after seeing amazing online reviews, I gave them a call. Sean said his schedule was full for the week, but then asked how bad the leak was.

When I told him it was pretty bad, and that we had an 18 month old daughter whose bedroom it was in, he asked if it was OK if he came that night after 7 PM.

With a major storm forecast to start at around midnight that ominous Friday night, and our desire to not wake up to a wet baby, be it from her diaper or window. We excitedly agreed, and asked if there would be emergency charges.

Sean explained that he doesn’t run his company that way, and he genuinely tries to treat everyone like family. I was skeptical at first because it sounded too good to be true, but after our experience, I can honestly say right now indeed do like a feel almost like a family member of his.

But I difress. Within 15 minutes of showing up instead of taking an immediate lunch break like Rob did, Sean had diagnosed exactly what the problem was and explained how easy it would be to fix.

I don’t know all the nuts and bolts of window repair, literally or figuratively, but in layman’s terms apparently the home’s previous owner (a real do it yourself-er) had caulked over the weeping holes at the bottom of the window,

This was not allowing moisture to exit the window and then causing the leak. Instead of trying to sell us a new window Sean fixed the problem within five minutes and told us if we ever decide to upgrade our windows to let him know.

A month later we did just that and Sean and his eager to learn young helper, Paulo, replaced two windows in 3 hours for half of what our next lowest quote had been previously.

They will be replacing the rest of the windows in our house next spring because we now have them replacing all the flooring in our kitchen and bathrooms.

I definitely recommend Renaissance to anyone needing any household work and DO NOT recommend Rob and his company (that will remain nameless) to anyone. For anything. Ever.

Sean did a wonderful job. We had our roof replaced due to hail damage and he was very professional. He was willing to work with our insurance company. He was very patient with us as we researched what shingles we wanted and even went searching the state to get us what we wanted.

After much debate on who to hire, my husband and I chose Renaissance to build our master bedroom custom shower.

It was not just because their estimate was lower than the other 2 companies we called, but also because I didn’t see a single negative review anywhere online.

Our shower was done so fast my husband started insist that the two guys installing it were secretly warlocks and using witchcraft to set the tiles! 😂🧙‍♀️🧹

I normally follow the rule “if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.” But not in this case. We couldn’t have been happier with the whole process. Thank you, Sean!

We had a great experience working with them! They have a great sense of humor and do awesome work at a great price. We had them come out and fix the leak from our shower into our basement and they offered a rate way better than competitors.

Can't say enough good things about Renaissance and Sean's crew.

I own an investment property out of state, so I was expecting the usual contractor/renovation nightmares (constant calls about problems, delays, more delays, and a final bill that's double the estimate, etc)...

But this was the total opposite experience. They did a full 3-week rehab in September, and of course stuff came up (it always does), but Sean just... handled it.

He'd check in every few days with a quick "hey, we ran into this, here's what we did" and kept moving. No drama, no hand-holding.

Even crazier is that the final bill matched the original estimate exactly. (!!!) The most difficult part of working with these guys was me learning how to spell "Renaissance".

If you need work done and don't want to deal with the typical headaches and BS, seriously, just call these guys. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

Renaissance asked my cousin multiple times if he could leave them a review on the work they did finishing his basement. He was too busy to do it so he asked me to post this and give them five stars, The first picture is before and the second is after.

When we decided we wanted to convert part of our master bedroom closet into a new custom tile shower, we were afraid it couldn’t actually be done.

The first company we called out for an estimate, confirmed our fears and said our home’s plumbing set up wouldn’t allow it. The second company we called so that it could be done, but gave us a price that was almost 3 times our budget.
