Great honest service. Was initially told by another company my septic was trashed and needed replaced for $25,000. A phone call to these honest guys and 6 years later we are still going strong for a fraction of the price. Highly recommend this company.

Mac’s emptied our tank and replaced the pump. The cost was lower than others quoted. They didn’t try upselling, and the guys who did the work were efficient and polite. Mac’s will be my go-to for future maintenance and repairs.

This company is the number one company you need to call if you have any issue. Do not hesitate like I did. I was afraid of $5,000 quotes, $15,000 quotes, etc. I had local competitor Knox septic tell me that I needed a new septic system over the phone before they ever came out. They said it was going to be $5,000 plus permits and hiring an electrician minimum, and if I need a mound system it is going to be a bare minimum of $15,000 cash then you have to factor a permit and electricians. Acme plumbing then quoted me $2500 bucks to replace my inlet pipe, d-box line, and baffles. I just wanted to get one more opinion and I called all of the companies in town, and none of them called me back except for this company. These guys were busy but got me the quote ASAP and had my system fully fixed for under $500 the first chance they got. I needed piping where my inlet met my tank. If you want the best quote, without being sold a new system or manipulated call these guys. They are heroes because I spent a lot of time contemplating what to do and they came out and got us working great. I just had the right trust feeling that you need when you are talking big dollars and they delivered.

If you want honesty and not someone just running up your tab these are the best ones to call. Very quick and the cost is great! Didn't try to sell us on things we didn't need just tried to help out. My first choice with septic.

Great company! I had been jilted by another company 2 times before I discovered Mac's. They called ahead to tell me they were heading my way. They showed up and found the best way to get the hoses back to pump my tank. They explained what they were doing. Talked to me before they did anything about base cost and how much it would be above that depending on my tank size. Its been rainy and ground water was pouring back into my tank. They made me aware that was going on and why it was happening. They even took a video of it so I wouldn't have to walk out in my soggy yard while it was raining to show me what was going on. Wonderful people from start to finish. Now they have a customer for life!

We had Mac come out and clean our septic tank earlier in the fall. This is the first time we did it at our current house, and we had no idea where the septic tank opening is. The guys from Mac worked for about an hour to find the access point, before they finished their job. They were very helpful and professional. We really appreciated their help in finding the septic tank opening, and will keep using Mac's in the future, and recommend them to others.

Whenever I've had my tank pumped, their techs have been the most knowledgeable and helpful pumping techs I've interacted with - I've always been impressed. If I had some questions and needed some help investigating some items/questions, they'd readily help me and give me some valuable informational input based on their experience. Additionally, they've been the fastest responding company I've had pump my tank - the last time I called them, they came the afternoon of the day I called.

One time when I'd been having some problems with the septic system backing up, they knew precisely what the issue was, and not only that, they had a fast turnaround time fitting the work into their schedules, and charged me a very reasonable rate (I know it was a reasonable rate because I know some other septic contractors would've charged a lot more).

They are great to work with! Always on time, and they get done quickly. For our septic tank, they did recommend using 2-ply tissue instead of 3. So, we'll have to switch.

This septic service was great. They communicated well to make things eady for me and they did not lie to me and say I needed thousands of dollars of additional services. The technician at my house did more than the minimum and helped me as much as he could. Low price compared to the other companies who have come to do the same.

This company is honest with competent and professional employees. We had our septic tank pumped for a reasonable price on Friday. They were on time to our house and quickly got the job done. We found out at that time that our pump was not working. They said they would call Monday and set up an appointment for an electrician to come out. Chris came out and tested our pump and he went through every process to make sure it was the pump that was malfunctioning. He replaced the pump and we were back in business. I highly recommend them if you have septic issues.

Long story short, I won't call anyone else going forward for septic needs. But context is good, so story time!

Lou and his team has been great since the day I called them out to pump our tank, which was over flowing during heavy use. Our tank is maintained and pumped on the recommended schedule during the past 10+ years of ownership. Jake was happy to share that if it continues to happen, we have an issue downstream of the tank. He even went out of his way to locate a few fingers to see if they were dry (bad!); one was located and dry. Jake cited that if I'm able to locate the distribution box myself--I can save some money in the event they need to come out and potentially replace the box and/or pump fingers to determine the drain fields efficiency.

I'm an involved home owner but ultimately was unable to locate the d-box myself within the 1-day rental of an excavator, so we called Mac back out to determine next steps. Mac explained that they are often able to repair and restore use from collapsed/clogged distribution boxes and fingers. We have city sewer available and I was very hesitant to throw money at any "temporary" repair versus just hooking up to city sewer, but trusted their judgement.

They came on-site and we were all entirely on the same page of not throwing good money after bad but attempting to restore use to buy me some time to hookup to sewer, assuming the worst. All jobs are unique and Lou/Mac's Septic team was able to determine the d-box was in good shape and the fingers were pumped, but they were definitely not entirely clear. Fingers most likely rooted from nearby Maple tree's planted 60 years ago when the house was built.

We are now working on next steps of hooking up to city sewer without throwing ridiculous amounts of money at a failing drain field that the county likely wouldn't permit to replace since sewer is available. Since I have long term goals of staying with this property and not passing on a problem to the next owner, city sewer is the next best steps for us instead of attempting removing roots that will just grow back into the old clay tile system.

This is what local family owned companies should be. Their pricing has been very fair, they've worked with me as the home owner to understand my goals while using their expertise to ensure I'm not simply abandoning an otherwise functioning system from something 'simple' like a d-box failure. They have a loyal customer.

I reached out to Mac's after receiving a ridiculous estimate from a local competitor. I spent a few minutes on the phone with Mac's and was assured the process the competitor was offering was merely a sales pitch, and was not going to resolve my issue, which turned out to be true. Mac's was very professional in their work, and went as far as to show us what they were doing each step of the way and helping us to better understand how our septic system works. I highly recommend these guys, as they got us going again at a fraction of the cost of the competition. It is a relief to have found such an honest company, and I will be choosing them for any and all future septic pumping and repairs we may need!

We were having septic issues (back flow into our basement!) and after calling two other companies (one failed to show for TWO appointments, one wanted to charge me hundreds for just a quote), Mac's came through. They immediately found the issue and then got us on the books for a repair. Great service, quality work, they've gone above and beyond to get our issues sorted. This is my second time using Mac's to pump out our septic tank. Their price is $90 less than any other company per 1,000 gallons and the guys who I've worked with are fantastic. They are prompt, professional and provide suggestions on servicing our septic system. I will use Mac's for all my septic needs in the future and you should too!
