Casey with Moon Plumbing went above and beyond for me when I was in a pinch late on the Friday of a holiday weekend. He showed up on time, did quality work, and made sure I was satisfied before we discussed any payment. Will be using them in the future.

Called Casey when my water turned brown and stopped flowing, fearing the worst - he came out promptly and was immediately able to diagnose the issue (water softener), quote me a very fair price to replace the unit, and set up a time to replace the softener. I called him after his initial visit with questions I'd forgotten to ask, and he was very responsive and helpful. Installation was smooth, he walked me through all the details - overall a great experience, would highly recommend!

The sink in my basement where the washer drains was backing up and spilled over. I contacted them on Friday afternoon, the day after Thanksgiving. Moon Family Plumbing got back to me quickly even though it was the weekend, and a holiday weekend at that. Jon was able to squeeze me in on Monday and fix the issue. The laundry was piling up, so the quick response and service were much appreciated! Jon was super helpful. Moon Family Plumbing will absolutely be my go to for any plumbing needs from now on.

The service provided by this company, especially Jon, was incredible. They responded with efficiency clear and precise information. As well as the incredible job, they did to resolve my major gas problem install four lines that had leaks. Definitely feel safer as well as leaving the place spotless. Excellent work, incredibly reasonable pricing, and very responsive. Casey rebuilt 3 toilets (one of which included a full pull and reset) and rebuilt 2 aging shower faucet assemblies. I especially appreciated the time he spent sourcing the necessary parts for the old shower fixtures so we didn't have to do a costly replacement. I am relatively new to home ownership, and this was the first major plumbing work I needed to have done. Moon Family Plumbing will definitely be my go-to company for any plumbing needs moving forward.

John was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions, explain his recommendations and the reasoning behind them. These guys were nothing short of amazing. They were able to come out the day of to look at my water heater which ended up needing to be replaced. They offered to fix it that night even though it was 6-7 p.m. While I didn't take them up on this offer, I thought it was incredibly generous. They were able to come back out 2 days later when it worked better for my schedule.

I can't emphasize this enough, they are SO genuine and nice. If I drank beer, I would have asked them to stay for a beer. I felt I could trust them in my home with my dog and they just fit right in.

AND they were also very professional and got the job done swiftly. It was beautiful work. Funny to say that about plumbing, but they rearranged some piping for me and it looks great! And labeled things. It felt like a very thorough, considerate job-- they seem to really care about their work.

I am no spokesperson for these guys. I fell upon them on a google search. Just a very happy customer! Thank you, Casey + John!

Update to my wife’s review

After having most of the existing piping (installed by Casey) disassembled through both the roof and the attic, it was determined that most of piping was absolutely filled with twigs and other birds’ nest material. This shows that the issue most likely started very soon after installation and slowly compiled causing irreversible damage to the heater and piping! We are so shocked by how a plumber who supposedly should have some experience installing these types of tankless gas water heaters could do it so unprofessionally!

I was thoroughly impressed with Moon plumbing!! I had another company visit 2x - only able to complete one task. I didn’t use them because I had multiple issues. I got a fast, fair estimate and the work was done as discussed- on time and at a reasonable price!! Highly recommend this team!!

Cannot say too many good things about these guys. Been involved in renovations in the past and had to hire a few plumbers. These guys are fantastic. They were responsive to my inquiry, came out for a free estimate and were on time and gave a fair price. We agreed on work and they came back to complete a rebuild of all the drain pipes/vents/and a main supply to the water heater from where it entered the house. Tremendous amount of work and each day they called to say they were on their way, did exactly what we agreed upon, and took the time to make some other related items right as part of the build. Could not be happier. Will definitely recommend and work with Moon Family Plumbing again!

Update: had them back for another job at the renovation. Prompt, reliable, friendly, and did great work. Will call moon family again!

I needed a sump pump installed in my basement and these guys had awesome reviews. Casey and his guys were prompt to respond, punctual, and professional. When my water heater went down in single digit weather, I called 9 plumbers and described my issue. 8 told me they were too busy to get someone there until the next week.

John and Casey had a full schedule as well, but they showed up between other appointments to try and get my heater relit.
While it required extra parts, that extra effort was deeply appreciated.

As soon as the part came in, they showed up at the end of another long, fully booked day to accommodate us.

Service was quick and professional. Price was transparent and reasonable. Every question I had was answered.

But one thing stood out and is the reason I would recommend Moon Family Plumbing over all the rest.

They treated me like a person, not an opportunity for profit.

Initially, we were very pleased with Casey’s work. It seemed like he was highly skilled, detail-oriented and paid attention to our requests. We hired him for many projects including major master bathroom renovation (walls and under the floor plumbing only), bathtub install, water heater and water softener installs and etc. Later, we did notice that he scratched some expensive shower fixtures (that, of course, cannot be fixed or replaced), did not align plumbing in another shower, and some other issues. But I would not be writing this review if those were the only issues!

Last summer, a bird got into the air inlet pipe of the new tankless gas water heater and we have been having major issues with the water heater since. He did not AT ALL follow the instructions that specifically stated 4 different options of how the inlet pipe should be installed and protected from situation like that, did not discuss it with us at the time and his negligence has caused major inconvenience on top of substantial financial loss.
After the bird got into the inlet, it started building a nest there, pieces of which were sucked directly into the water heater. After countless number of calls to the heater’ manufacture and trying all options of cleaning the heater out, installing new parts that got damaged from contamination, it was determined that the damage was irreversible and we needed to get a new unit. That is almost $1,500 for just the water heater wasted. We only had it for 2 years while it should have lasted over 15! This is something that was EASILY preventable if the instructions were followed!

Now, after consulting with different plumbers, we also learned that the way the piping was routed by Casey was very poor and now after installing a brand new unit (which is the exact same as the previous one just a newer model), we have an air flow issue caused by improper piping. So now we have to reroute all piping, which means that roughly $2,000 we paid Casey for this work was just a waste.

These are major unexpected expenses caused by extreme negligence and lack of professionalism by Casey.

In general, we would certainly NOT recommend him for any plumbing projects that are slightly above average in difficulty!

You simply cannot go wrong with this company. Their work is exemplary, they go out of their way to take care of their customers, they remember little details, they work their butts off, and they are the nicest guys! I have had countless plumbers work at my house for years, and these guys are the best! Completely trustworthy and really knowledgeable. I would recommend them without reservation for any job, large or small. A family owned local business with years of experience. A pleasure to have them in my house!
