We had a new experience in our home last night. We used the master tub, only to come downstairs and find an absurd amount of water coming from around the air vent in the kitchen ceiling! I immediately called Larry, and he was able to come over bright and early this morning to check the problem. Larry quickly found the issue: come to find out, we had a crack in the overflow catch! Larry was able to get it fixed and did a great patch in the wall, too! We’ve never had a plumbing issue before this, but if we ever do again, we definitely know who to call!

I contacted Larry around 11am because the installers for our new stove said we needed to have a licensed plumber come out and change our stoves gas line. Larry came out later the same day and had everything fixed and even helped install our new stove for us. I highly recommend reaching out to him if you find yourself in need with your plumbing because he really saved my sanity by being here so fast and helping us.

If you want to work with an honest plumber who will execute the job with excellence, then you need to come to Parkhurst Family Plumbing! We had a major water leak and they got us in contact with a company that would help us with the insurance process while working quickly to help resolve the plumbing issues. We have had him install our kitchen sink four years ago, install a dish washer, install some toilets, replace the outside water spigot after it was leaking, reinstall the garbage disposal, fix the burst pipe (which required getting in the slab) and also fix a bad installation of a pipe in our bathroom by the home builders 20 years ago. He does an outstanding job and will be honest through the process. He’s also come out after hours and all times of the day and NOT charged an arm and a leg. Thanks, Larry! I should have left a review a long time ago — he can do it all!

PLEASE DO NOT put yourself in a position to be ripped off like so many have, don't do it.

Don't bother unless you like being stood up. I waited on this company for hours and re arranged my whole day just so they could not show and not bother to call and tell me they couldn't make it. When I tried to call them, both of their numbers were shut off and went to voicemail. Very unprofessional!

The best pumbling company in Indianapolis. They will save you thousands. If the quote initially receive from a company seems to high or yoir alternate solutions, call Second Opinion.

If I could write a lower star I would, it's extremely unprofessional to not stick to set appointment times. We had an appointment set for this afternoon, the receptionist attempted to change the time, I cannot change my work schedule or coordinate things last minute. They were rude, unprofessional and unable to commit to a set time.
If you value your time, you're better going with another company. If you have time to spare and wait or communicate with a rude receptionists this is the company for you!

My work is not done, I am owed a water heater, water softener, hook up of the pressure tank. Almost paid in full and most of the work is not done. I question a few things that are done if they are done correctly. No one answers the phone now. Was told they went out of business last week. I called left two messages and now I get a busy single. Any update would be appreciated. I pray they follow through and get it done.

Our house had a clog in the sewer system just before the Memorial Day weekend, causing some blockage and basically caused our basement toilet to overflow and spew some nasty sewage. About 2 or 3 other plumbing companies we called said they could get us on their schedule the week after. Second Opinion originally said the same thing, but I think they recognized this was an emergency for my small family and mobilized the same day to scope out the issue, and next morning to get us on track for the long weekend. Bonus points for being good with interacting with my kids!

Update 7/12: I am taking off a star for general unhelpfulness with our insurance. I also failed to mention that they were generally non-communicative of when they would be coming and going in some instances, and we just kind of assumed/hoped they would come back to resume/finish work.

I can’t rave enough about second opinion plumbing! They’re honest about the issue and affordable. Initially, I had a different company come out and tell me a whole line needed replaced immediately because it was broken and bellied, charging almost $10k. Shocked and afraid it would back into the house, I almost signed that paper! BUT. Luckily, I called for a second opinion at Second Opinion Plumbing. The line didn’t need replaced at all, it wasn’t broken or bellied. Rob at Second Opinion Plumbing saved me over $9,000. I’m so so thankful! I sound like a commercial on tv lol but it’s true!!! I won’t be using anyone else now. I appreciate honesty and integrity in companies. Second Opinion is just that! Highly recommend!!!

These guys are awesome. After a dispute with the neighbor that hired them, they saw that what the neighboring business wanted completed was not right. & Rob was a huge assistance to me in workin with the city & standing behind what was right in my favor & I wasn't even the customer that hired them. It's so hard to trust companies anymore in today's world but Second Opinion is definitely very trustworthy & respectful. If I ever do need a plumber, I know where I'm callin.

Fixed my problem in less than 1 day for under $200 really not much more you can ask for!

Justin & Bill came by today and went above and beyond; both were beyond incredibly skilled, kind, and efficient. All of my issues were resolved with an incredible level of care. Please give both of them a raise! Outstanding people :)

Gave me a 10 AM - 2 PM arrival window the day before, then texted just before 10 AM saying a tech would arrive around 10:30. (I had to ask for that ETA myself, despite being told they'd call ahead.)

I arrived around 10:45 AM, a bit late due to rain and traffic, and texted again as no one was on-site.

Turns out the tech had shown up, had the door closed on them by a teenager in the house (who hadn't been told someone was coming), and left immediately. I was never called or texted when this happened.

I followed up promptly to explain the misunderstanding, take responsibility for the confusion, and ask to reschedule, but received no response at all. Not even a "we're no longer interested."

Yes, I should have ensured everyone in the house knew (I tried!), but a 30-second text or call from the tech could have cleared the entire situation up on the spot.

I've worked in contracting and consulting for 15 years. Walking off a job without contacting the actual point-of-contact, then ignoring multiple polite follow-ups, is not how professionals operate. Disappointed and will not be using again.
