Reviews of local pros in Ames, Iowa

Great people. Great work. Great price. These trees had very long dead tops to them - about 5 or 6 dead branches. Looked horrible. Now me and my neighbors love the clean look. Thank you. Highly recommend.

DG tree service has been awesome, Dean and Sam are great to work with, they are friendly, courteous, safe, and exhibit best practice tree felling skills. They covered the ground with plywood to protect the yard as best as possible while using their equipment… The tree was down in a day and everything cleaned up. My yard look better than when they arrived! The wrong tree company can be expensive and cause a lot of damage quick… The right one solves your problem correctly the first time.

Update 4/3/25-
Had DG Remove several dead ash trees at one of my properties.. Still great company and great service. The entire crew was friendly, fast, safe. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a tree removal service

DG removed 3 big ash trees and ground approx 10 stumps for us within just two weeks of contacting them.
Our lot has a slope and many other trees that do not allow for easy access with a truck, it also has a fence that we were anxious about not damaging. DG did a fantastic job at a very reasonable rate. They took great care to protect our grass as much as possible when moving equipment over it, and cleaned up as if they’d never even been here. Pros.

DG Tree Service was great. Dean and his team responded fast, offered a fair price, trimmed our trees perfectly, and left everything clean. Highly recommend!

Dean took care of our downed limb same day for a super reasonable price. His cleanup was perfect, highly recommend.

Dean and his crew at DG tree service has been really great to work with. We hired them to trim our trees and did a great job! Very happy with their service and extremely knowledgeable of trees. I highly recommend them to everyone looking for any tree removal and trimming.

Very personable and quick to call back when inquiring about our tree removal. They came out to quote and then the next day our tree was removed. Very good to work with and left our yard clean. Would definitely use DG again and would recommend them!

The DG crew did a fantastic job on a large and difficult tree stump removal. They were both knowledgeable and professional in their work and operation of the grinding equipment. This a reliable company that offers courteous service and clean up at a very fair cost.

Caleb has been doing cleaning at our house for a while now. We are very happy with his service. He pays attention to detail, and our house is clean when he leaves. In addition, he is pleasant and easy to work with.

Caleb is our guy! We absolutely love him! His attention to detail, the extra care he takes with the marble countertops, and how friendly he is with our dog is what we love most.

Our dog looks forward to Caleb coming because Caleb pets and talks to our pup. That alone is enough, but the pride Caleb takes in his work shines.

I love the way our house looks after he leaves and look forward to his return! I only wish I could create a miniature version of him and carry him in my pocket! He is a wonderful person who obviously cares very deeply about leaving good impressions in his work.

Anyone who gets the opportunity to work with Caleb is incredibly lucky!

Jennifer M. does such an awesome job. We have 4 cats and a large dog (all of whom love Jen) and Jen helps keep the fur in check. I truly appreciate coming home to a clean house. She is meticulous and responsive.

phClean has been doing our home for about six months. I have to admit I am "picky" and I find the staff is very efficient. Especially "Haley" who does our house. She does a great job, waste no time, not afraid to ask if she has a question, very friendly and always a smile on her face. phClean you have a winner with Haley!!

We love Jennifer, our phClean superhero! She has amazing attention to detail and always leaves her mark in a special way. My son can’t wait to get home on days she comes to see what scene she has set up in his bedroom or whatever other special surprises she leaves behind. We are never disappointed!

phClean does an awesome job cleaning our office. The phClean staff person, Raechel is incredibly meticulous and has a tremendous attention to detail. Our office is always clean and shiny after she finishes her work.

We’ve used phClean for a few years and they’ve always done a good job. This week our tech Melissa was *exceptional* in her attention to detail. Floors, walls, furniture, and appliances were all noticeably much cleaner when we came home than they were when we left. I hope we get Melissa again. Thanks!

Haley has been cleaning for about a year. She is totally awesome & I cannot say enough about her. We are very pleased with her, she's reliable, courteous & never fails to do a thorough job. Her organization skills are amazing, our bathroom shelves are usually a mess when Haley gets here & viola organized! She organizes & totally cleans every room in the house, you always know when she has been here. Our home has a lot of small knick knacks & it is hard to clean & put things where they belong, but Haley gets it done without misplacing or breaking fragile things. Overall we feel that she cleans our home as if were her home. She is dependable, respectful & hard working. I'm 75 & I've had a lot of housekeepers, but none as great as Haley. She is a delight & I can't imagine anyone else cleaning out home! Thanks Haley you are a treasure, and we are pleased that you work so hard to clean & organize our home.

PS, she always has a sunny disposition, and she is totally trustworthy.

Lizzie has cleaned our office for several years. She always has a smile and is very personable. She is always on time and does an amazing job. We appreciate her hard work and the fact that she never complains about all of the dirt we accidentally track into our office from the fields.
Thank you for your hard work!

I love coming home after PhClean has been at my house! I highly recommend them, they keep track of the details (where to put the garbage, what the cat's name is...) and best of all it means we can spend weekends doing something besides cleaning. For a family with two working parents, this is a huge help for a reasonable price. Thanks Shelby E for doing such a great job!

Kind, thorough & efficient. So thankful for this service & am very happy with the results.

We have used phClean for a few years now and they have always been great to work with. They have worked with changes in scheduling and were great while we had a remodel in process. Lots of dust!! We trust Liz and she always does a fantastic job and leaves things sparkling clean!

Absolutely incredible service! Proffessional, timely, efficient, and a wonderful staff. I ordered a full deep clean for my apartment, and was very pleased with the results. Highly recommended!
