I am very impressed! Excellent coordination of many home improvement projects, punctual, timely, knowledgeable and excellent customer service. Kurt will be my go to for all things home improvement here on out!

I actually had an appt with Jager Home Repairs before these guys called but was dreading working them because Britney at the office was not very pleasant, she seemed exasperated that she was taking my call. Then Amanda from The Neighborly Handyman called me and was so nice and seemed to genuinely care about my repair needed! I didn't have a second thought on who I'd rather deal with. It's like having a good family friend working on things, they really care about what they are doing and getting it done right! There are a few other projects we need done and these guys are definitely our go to from now on!

It is very refreshing to work with a company that doesn't leave you waiting for a phone call. The team reached out to us within a day of inquiring about the job. Throughout the process they were very good at communicating with us and keeping us in the loop.

We had them replace a bunch of base trim and door trim. Getting rid of old mismatched pine in favor of some simple white trim. He was great about working with us during the quote process to get a balance between price and what we wanted.

I would recommend them to anyone that needs a little help shortening their honey-do list.

I hired The Neighborly Handyman to put a storm door in my townhouse to give me more light! From Amanda in the office to Nathan who put the door in — excellent! He even picked up the door for me at Home Depot because I don’t have a truck. Highly recommend and will definitely use them again!

I called to get an estimate on some work but had to leave a message. I received a call back the very next day from Amanda. She informed me that the work I was looking to get done wasn't something that they normally do. She recommended a company to help me out. I really appreciated the fast call back even though they knew they wouldn't get the work.

Kurt was very helpful, reasonable, and flexible. We are so thankful for his help rather than going through a company that would have cost us much more money! He also was able to help us fix our problem quickly. I would highly recommend his help!

I live in Florida and had a dishwasher delivered to my son in Ankeny. When they pulled the dishwasher, the floor was rotted and there was no way the dishwasher could be installed. I googled Handyman in Ankeny and called the 1st company I saw with several reviews and 5 stars. Boy am I glad I did! Kurt answered the phone and promptly dispatched Nathan to my sons home. He quickly assessed the situation, quoted a very fair price, and completed the job in a timely manner! Never in my town could I have found such great service. I am so impressed and so was my son. Thank you for the awesome service!

Great job on fixing a leak before it became a major problem. The customer service from office staff to the guys on the job was very professional. They were quick to come out to assess the problem and were even able to come back sooner than expected to make the repair. They even fixed a door for me that we had no idea needed adjusting...at no extra charge! Will definitely use for future projects.

Nathan and James did a great job installing our new dishwasher and took extra time to ensure that it was leveled properly and flush with the cabinet. We intend to contract with them for some additional plumbing work that we need to have done. Very professional.

We had a small project needing done on a door. Kurt was quick to locate the problem and set a date to repair it within a week. He was on time both times and made the repair in quick time. Our door is now working great and keeping the cold out. We'll be sure to call him again when we need a project done.

Nathan and Kurt were AWESOME!! I had issues with the installation of my new gas dryer. Long story short, Home Depot was happy to take my money but a little short on details about what was acceptable or not for gas lines etc. I don't fault the delivery guys...they are a 3rd party tasked with putting in what they deliver and if things aren't ready or need to be updated then it is not on them. Anyway, I called Home Depot and they gave me some contact info as well as contacting Kurt and Nathan. They reached out right away and got the ball rolling. When Nathan came over, he assessed the situation quickly and told me what needed to be done. Shortly thereafter, I was stiffed on my delivery a second time (by a different driver) and this time was very not happy! Kurt had come over....on the 4th mind you to get everything ready to go. I couldn't believe customer service like this was still out there. When the delivery guy came, they didn't have the right parts and we needed to push it out another week, 3 total. I called Kurt and told him I would really rather pay him to get it done and done right instead of messing around anymore with these yahoos. He said great. Called Nathan. Set up a day to come and got it taken care of. I was really impressed with all the service and information they gave me and will recommend them to ANYONE that could use their services!!!

TOP NOTCH TEAM! I wish all service providers are like The neighborly Handyman, When I contacted them about a couple of jobs, there were responsive and honest. By honest, I mean Kurt is upfront on what he can service and what he can't. Working with Kurt and his team was seamless, we scheduled the job for the first available date; he came out punctually, and he performed awesome work at a reasonable price! Kurt is meticulous in his work which I appreciate, it's hard now days to find someone who cares about your home as much as you do!
I will definitely be calling on Kurt again for future jobs!

Kurt and Nathan installed a new dishwasher for us a few days ago. We are extremely pleased with the experience! They were punctual, very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely efficient! They kept us informed during the process and ask for our opinion. They definitely wanted us to be satisfied with the results—and we are! They even found a leaking hose from the kitchen sink faucet and fixed that as well. We will definitely be using this business in the future!

Kurt did an AMAZING job on our deck project! He was communicative throughout the entire process. He always let us know when he would be there and what his plan was for the day. He took the time to listen to our needs and to figure out the entire scope of our project before he gave us a price. Very efficient and did a great job!

Kurt installed a bathroom exhaust fan and fixed a doorbell in my rental property. He cleaned up after himself and locked up when they left the house. My tenant was thankful for their professionalism to get the job done right and on time. He did an excellent job.

Kurt is a true professional along with Amanda and Nathan. They are reliable, honest and their work ethic and workmanship is the best.
