Would highly recommend for sprinkler startup and winterization. Their technicians are all very polite, they’re on time and they do a great job.

Shawn did a great job of treating our lawn and taking the time to visit with me about our "summer patch" problem and discussing a fall aerification and overseeding. We especially liked how he took his time applying the fertilizer. Other techs act like it's a race and tear around the yard. If we would get a choice, we would like to have Shawn treat our yard every time.

Shawn did a great job. He called before he treated to make sure we knew he was coming. We have a dog so always want to get him out before they treat the lawn. My husband had just seeded parts of our lawn and he listened to my concerns.

Greg had great customer service, did a great job. Performed the work, tested to ensure quality and even checked other zones for overlap. Very happy.

Larry has been our lawn technician/applicator since we started our lawn care services with A+. From the beginning he addressed our concerns and is still providing excellent service at each visit.

I saw Chris at a neighbor's house. Spoke with him for a few minutes regarding my lawn. He made a call the office and quoted me a great price. Thoroughly explained the processes and what to expect. He then instantly fit me into his schedule and provided great tips for my lawn and pest concerns. I'm one happy customer. :)

Casey diagnosed the problem we had with a pear tree whose trunk was splitting. He and Chris, who was the senior arborist, came and successfully placed bolts to draw the tree together. Both men were very knowledgeable about the tree and the process. They were courteous and their explanations were very helpful. I would highly recommend A+ and Casey and Chris to anyone who had a tree problem.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! In May of 2022, we contacted A+ about removing some existing shrubs and provide a simple design to replace them. It took the entire summer to get someone out here and do the job; they finally finished in December of 2022. In 2023 one of the shrubs died and we put in a warranty claim; again it was December (2023) before they got the shrub replaced. We are now in the start of the 2024 growing season (2 YEARS LATER!) and the middle shrub is once again DEAD. This job cost us $3,000. You can go virtually anywhere else and get better service.

Lucas Dora was my technician and he arrived on time and was very professional. We have had a great experience with A+ Lawn for several years.

By far the worst company I could have chosen to install my sprinkler system. Save your money and go elsewhere. None of my neighbors will be using A+. It's been months since the system was installed incorrectly and it still doesn't work as it should. Don't expect a call back when you call with issues. Even when they claim to have fixed what is wrong run your system like I did and you will find out that nothing was fixed.

Update:

Still won't fix the issues with my sprinklers, very disappointing.

Called them multiple times for retreating weeds in my yard. Said the person will be there on Friday, postponed to Monday but never let me know. Again postponed to Wednesday and not picking up the phone on Thursday. They were responsive initially but their service has deteriorated a lot. Not happy at all. waited for the person to come for hours.

A+ workers left their trailer in clearly marked NO PARKING spot over a couple of days & selfishly parked in areas that made it difficult for neighborhood families to get around while they worked. Unprofessional & technically illegal. Their lack of respecting local community laws & neighboring properties makes one wonder how much they respect their customer's sites.

Larry Rogers treated my lawn today. My dog was in the back yard when he arrived. He was courteous and let me get the dog inside before heading to the back yard. He did a good job on the application. He outlined the property and made sensible, straight passes with his equipment. Thank you, Larry!

No complaints on the front office help here in Ankeny which I would give a five star rating or the job site technicians that I would rate at four stars. The complaint that I have is lack of communication between the provider and customer. Twice this year I have experienced no-shows after making a specific time request for services beyond the usual six step lawn care program. The first one was the no-show for my spring irrigation start-up and back flow testing. In March while scheduling this year's services and prepaying, I requested the end of April for the start up to be performed. Once May approached and no communication as when to expect the services that I paid for, I called the office and was told that they had no record of an appointment being scheduled. At this time the demand for this service was high and the earliest that I could be rescheduled was May 16th. On the scheduled date I contacted the office mid afternoon to get a time frame for the technicians expected arrival and I was told that he was on his last call for the day and that he had scheduled for an early end time. I explained that this was unacceptable as this would now be the second time that a scheduled appointment was not met and that the due date for the required back flow testing was rapidly approaching. The technician was contacted and he accommodated by delaying the end of his shift and performing the start up and back flow testing. One of the ladies in the front office would later text me regarding the notification of the back flow results being submitted to the City of Ankeny. Most recently I have again experienced the lack of communication involving the fall aeration and overseeding of my lawn. I specifically made an appointment for these services to be performed on August 26th and I was told that it was on the schedule. The day before these services were scheduled, I contacted the front office to verify my appointment and it was confirmed. In order to prepare the lawn for the aeration and grass seed application, I mowed the grass shorter than usual and marked my irrigation sprinkler heads. At 2 PM no one had shown up so I contacted the front office and was told that I was still on the schedule. I waited until 430 PM to call a second time and was told that the technicians work past the scheduled office hours. No one showed up on this day nor did I receive any text or phone call indicating a delay in services. The next day I contacted the front office for the fourth time in three days. The lady that answered was very apologetic and assured me that someone would be there this morning. She indicated that she would have the technician call me when he was in route to my location which I advised her that it was not necessary. Within the hour two technicians arrived and performed the services requested. The customer should not have to make repeated calls to ensure that the appointment in which services that have already been prepaid for are completed. Because of this I give a total of a two star rating. If these areas can be addressed and improved then I would give a higher or perfect rating.

A+ service ratings are deceptive, I would highly recommend finding another lawn care service. I spent several hundreds of dollars on service plans and add ons with no results all season besides some greening, that I would more attribute to the large amount of rain we received this summer. I gave several opportunities and reached out with my concerns of the invasion of weeds always with an excuse. Ultimately there were little to no results and a feeling of wasted time and money. I was finally forced to move on after they never showed up for my scheduled aeration/overseed service.

A+ did a great job with this tiered wall project. They communicated well throughout the process. They used the highest quality materials to ensure this lasts a lifetime. They completed this job in less than two days which was impressive. Great job by the crew, highly recommended them for any landscape project.
