My home warranty (HMS/Cinch) used Mechanically inclined as the preferred service provider when my furnace was not starting. Initially the problem was misdiagnosed as a control board, followed by a second misdiagnosis of the thermostat when that didn’t fix it. After fixing the problem myself and speaking with the owner, he was shocked at what had occurred and worked hard to make things right, which he did. Mistakes happen, and it is clear they care about their reputation and service. They maintained excellent communications and customer service throughout the whole ordeal and now I have a working furnace for the winter.

I heard about Mechanically Inclined from a co-worker who was using them and I am REALLY glad I did. I was just getting ready to pay AB MAY to install a new high efficiency furnace and 5 Ton AC unit, and after a call to Mechanically Inclined, they did it for less than HALF of what AB was going to charge, AND they got it done in 4 hours 2 days later! Very fast, very clean, very professional, and they were extremely knowledgeable. Call these guys!

My AC just went out May 2021. Insurance company I used was called Cinch (they are terrible) and they sub-contracted the work order out to Mechanically Inclined LLC. The tech who came out seemed on the up and up (at first) about needing to replace my unit due to a failed indoor coil and that my condenser was old and he was going to recommend replacement. He also spoke poorly of the insurance company and stated they would fight me on the claim.. no work done but had to pay a $125 service fee. He told me he would write a quote and send it and I’d hear back in 48 hours. Fast Forward 72 hours later and I had to make contact for an answer. Come to find out insurance company denied claim, based on a so called note, provided by the same tech, that the issue was due to lack of maintenance and was pre-existing... none of this information was ever shared to me by the tech. In fact, he made it sound like it was just time to be replaced. After all the unit has been here since the house was built in 1998. My rebuttal would have been the AC had not broken down before, and that it was the original with the house... how does an AC unit last 23 years if maintenance was neglected? DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! They Lied right to my face and then put undisclosed information in their reports to insurance that was the opposite of what they told me.

I received service from this company through a home warranty plan three times before I finally refused to work with them again. Each time was frustrating, involving multiple phone calls and wasted time. I have now been dealing with a broken HVAC system for over a month, and have been told by a subsequent repairman that the problems all stem from an incorrectly sized part installed by this company.

Excellent service!! Our system went out and I was worried the whole thing would need replaced. Since I'm a renter and my landlord is out of the country I was even more worried. Jim came out and advised while it does need replaced he could fix it to work until I can get it done. He also offered me a great quote on maintenance to avoid having this issue again. I didn't feel like he was selling me something which I usually do in these situations, he made me feel like it would benefit me more than him. I appreciated that.

My A/C went out and the thermostat said to call a technician. My home warranty Cinch set me up with Mechanically Inclined LLC and I'm glad they did. Joe was absolutely amazing at describing what had gone wrong with the fuse as well as how the different parts worked.

Our home warranty company introduced us to mechanically Inclined, and we are extremely grateful they did. This company and their people are professional, prompt, informative and courteous. Above all else.. they got our air conditioning back up and running in a timely manner. I highly recommend them.

My AC stopped working on July 4th. Called my Warranty company, they sent me to Mechanically Inclined. I left them a message on the 4th, knowing I would not be able to reach them until Monday. I received a call from them Monday morning, before I even had a chance to call them. The owner of the company, Jim, came out at exactly the time he said he would. He did a complete inspection of my unit. He cleaned it out, changed the capacitor and the fan motor and had my AC working in about an hour. He also took the time to answer all my questions and explained a lot of things, I did not previously know. I am going to be setting up a service plan with them, as well as have them upgrade my thermostat. Very pleased and will use them again and refer them in the future.

We were introduced to MI through our home warranty. First, we used them for an AC replacement during the summer. All work was completed efficiently and Katelyn was wonderful at communicating with our warranty company to make it happen quickly. This week, our furnace went out. Ugh, 2020! Expecting temperatures in the teens, Katelyn and Joe went to work FAST. We had a replacement furnace within 48 hours. Finding a place to stay with an infant during COVID makes things a little more difficult- and we were not looking forward to relocating for the week, and luckily, we didn't have to. They made this so easy. Joe even called us on Christmas Eve to make sure that we were not having any issues. We are thankful our warranty company introduced us to MI. I hope we will not need them in the future- but know who to call when and if we do!

In the summer of 2020 during the heatwave our AC went out, and our home warranty company sent Mechanically Inclined out for the inspection. They were very professional and helped in getting us a replacement unit through the home warranty company. Mechanically Inclined was super helpful through the entire process which was an ordeal with the home warranty company. After that I joined up on their program to have my AC and heater inspected. They were also super helpful recently in the cold snap of 2021 with inspection of our vents and making sure heat was properly flowing through the house.. Also Katlyn in the office is always a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to use.

Our furnace went kaput over the winter. Jim was able to come in and access what was wrong. Put together a quote and then proceed to get everything done in a day. Fantastic work done! Give him a shout for any of your HVAC needs.

Technician came out and told us our ac unit needed cleaned, and could not figure out how to turn a hose on, then sent an estimate for $375 to clean the unit. We had to clean it ourselves, then two days later the unit ended up blowing a breaker and smoking. It almost started an electrical fire, after he told us the unit was fine and only needed cleaned.

Top notch company! They came and worked on our AC unit through our home warranty company! Could not have been happier with Mechanically Inclined. The young lady that answers the phone is a wealth of knowledge and was extremely helpful! The technician was very professional and polite, shared information and tips for future maintenance! Would definitely recommend them for anyone needing repairs/maintenance from a company who cares about their customers!

My AC went out on a Saturday. The temperature was going to be in the 90s. The Home Warranty company I use gave me a different contractor and when I called them they didn't call back until Monday and said that they were booked until the following Tuesday. I called the Warranty company back and asked for a different contractor and they gave me Mechanically Inclined. I call them and the told me that they could be there in two days. The service technician, John, showed up within the time given and immediate discovered the problem and fixed it, He also did a thorough examination of my AC to make sure everything else was up to par. He took time to explain the issue and what to look out for in the future. All in all, we were back up and cooling the house with half an hour. I would definitely call them again for any heating or cooling issue I might have,

I was introduced to Mechanically Inclined LLC by my home warranty company. My A/C stopped working Monday. I was contacted within 24 hours of submitting my claim, and a tech came out today to repair the system. The tech was very friendly and professional and Kaitlyn was very responsive to phone calls. Will definitely use them in the future and so grateful that my house will be cool tonight.

Wish I would have seen this company's reviews prior to allowing them to take the work through my home warranty company. They understand the home warranty contracts and take advantage of the customers to require extra out of pocket work like "cleaning" the furnace prior to replacing the necessary part. Shameful business practice from a small town company. I'll be shouting my negative experience from the rooftops.
EDIT Response to Owner: Jim, whether FAHW or your company want to pass predatory practice blame on to each other, you are teaming up together to force extra out of pocket services onto customers that don't want those services. You and I both know my furnace will operate with the needed part replacement and without the forced 125 dollar cleaning fee that I could perform myself. Whomever arrived to check my furnace didn't even imply there was a part replacement necessary all he could say was he "thinks it might need cleaned". My advice: if you have a lot of reviews complaining about a similar business practice, it is likely a poor business practice and you're choosing to take part in it. I expect money grabs out of large corporate companies. Not yours. -
They're amazing to work with, especially when dealing with a slow warranty company. They have both fully replaced our air conditioning and fixed our furnace. Everything that has been fixed or replaced by them has run beautifully and I know my family can depend on them to fix any hvac problems!

I moved into my new house over the winter and come spring time, found out that the ac was no longer working. I had been having a lot of issues with my home warranty sending out a competent person to trouble shoot my AC...it was getting frustrating. I was finally able to cancel the service from Sears Home Services and bring out Jim with Mechanically Inclined. He showed up the next business day and had my AC working within an hour. Very professional and seemed very knowledgeable about HVAC systems.

Fantastic service! After a larger A/C company told us we needed a new unit, we called Mechanically Inclined for a second opinion. They took the time to fully check out and diagnose the system, and showed us that a new unit was entirely unnecessary. They took the time to explain everything, and they were extremely transparent. We will be using them for our HVAC needs moving forward!

I am grateful that our Home Warranty company assigned Mechanically Inclined to us. They are now our go to HVAC company! Kaitlin is a delight. She is kind and informative while making appointments. Jim is honest and straightforward. He does a great job at explaining the issues and resolutions without making one feel like an idiot for not speaking HVAC.

I can’t say enough good things about Mechanically Inclined. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely amazing. Not only did they respond quickly and professionally, but they also saved me a ton of money compared to other quotes I received.
The technician (and owner) is not just incredibly knowledgeable—he’s also a genuinely great human being. It’s rare these days to find someone who truly cares about doing right by the customer, but that’s exactly what you get with Mechanically Inclined.
Quality work, honest pricing, and a team you can trust. I’ll be recommending them to everyone I know!
