I purchased a 96-year old Tudor revival home in the Ward Park neighborhood in 2024. The Aprilair humidifier installed with my 20-year old furnace was not working properly. Moe Hashim with Neal Harris HVAC repair came to solve my humidifier problem. I could tell immediately that this was not Moe's first rodeo! He very quickly repaired the Aprilair. He was straight forward and easy to work with! I was so pleased that I hired Nelson Harris to take care of maintenance for my heating, cooling, and plumbing moving forward. I was able to request Moe to be my preferred service agent! I highly recommend Neal Harris for your heating and cooling repair and maintenance needs!

Andre visited the same day I called Neal Harris for a house humidifier concern. He was polite, knowledgeable and went above and beyond by teaching us about our new house. He replaced a part and fixed the problem in under an hour. Quick and friendly service!! Would highly recommend!!

Technicians were very professional and explained in detail how to maintain the unit for optimal performance. During the installation the technicians answered all my questions and maintained the utmost professionalism. Additionally, the area was fully returned to pre install condition before leaving the work site. I would and have referred Neil Harris to others interested in upgrading/replacing their existing HVAC units. Our furnace stopped working in the middle of a snowstorm! AJ and Zach came out fast. Their communication was great every step of the way. They answered our questions and explained everything so we could understand it. Most importantly they restored heat quickly and gave us fair options for repair and replacements. Trust me, call these guys and don’t try to fix anything yourself. They are professionals and I have peace of mind and a warm home again.

While I fully expect this review to be buried in the thousands of reviews for this company, I figured I’d share my thoughts here. I have had 3 experiences working with Neil Harris, ranging from bad to awful. The first involves one of their technicians coming to inspect a steam boiler on a house I was about to purchase. At the time, I knew nothing about steam boilers, and was informed by the technician that the boiler was in “8 out of 10 condition”. 3 months after living in the house, I realized that this technician failed to inspect the most critical component – the heat exchanger, and that it was significantly rusted and leaking. The boiler had to be replaced 3 months after I purchased the home. During that same visit, one of their “comfort advisers” (God help me if I ever have to deal with these sales people ever again) gave me quotes for a new AC system ranging from $16k to $28k. I would love to learn who is paying nearly $30k (!!!) for a new AC system (we had another guy do it for under $7k). Lastly, I brought them out to give me an estimate to have my steam boiler replaced. The technician, who was not well versed in steam heating systems, was smug despite not knowing what he was talking about. He informed me that it could take up to a FULL WEEK for a steam boiler replacement (even though they use megapress which should theoretically streamline the process). As someone who now knows a ton about residential steam boiler replacements, if your company is quoting you a full week to perform this replacement – find someone else to do the work (ours was replaced in a standard 8-hour workday). Not only that, but the ballpark quote he gave me for the replacement $15-$25k was inaccurate and they couldn’t even come in below $25k. Never again will I use the services of the “service experts” and I would encourage anyone who is even remotely interested in a cost-effective solution for home comfort to stay away.

Lucas and Antonio came out to install a new heater and air conditioner at my grandmothers home (Mary). They did an excellent job. They were quick, efficient and friendly. Their professionalism was awesome. They kept us informed every step of the process. We had a comfortable home after just a few hours. We have been Neal Harris customers for many years (+20) and they have never failed to deliver awesome service.

HVAC technician Ryan Rizo solved a problem with my thermostat. He offered to do a furnace Tune up a week ahead of schedule, while he was there. He was very thourogh and shared the issues about my furnace. Great job, great tune up.

Moe was the technical who preformed the service call today on my HVAC purchased from Neal Harris in 2020. Moe was professional and cordial and thorough. The furnace is under the house (crawl space) which is a small area to work in. Moe had no problem! I appreciate his pleasant attitude and the complete and timely evaluation.

We had a great experience with Ron the owner of Command.Initially there were some operational issues that were addressed and he brought in a "trouble shooters to diagnose the problem .They fixed it amd our new air-conditioning unit is running great. Perhaps other people with with the unit not cooling properly have similar issues we had that were not addressed properly.Older homes need to be checked to see if all of their pipes in the basement and whatever else involved are in working order and connected properly. Ours wasn't but now is.Yeah Command!:)

These guys work super quick. They gave me a quote Saturday, set up the order on Monday, came by Wednesday morning with the new furnace and installed it in under 3 hours. Very professional individuals and easy to talk to. Will definitely recommend to anyone that needs some help with their HVAC system.

Ron was amazing!! This company came highly recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. I contacted Ron at about 8:30pm and he responded quickly and talked me through the entire process, got me an estimate and installed an entire new unit by Wednesday. Called this morning on a referral from a friend. When we asked for the company name and said we wanted to research his company so we would know who we could be working with, Ron said, "you don't need to research us. I've been doing this since 1988. Thank you." He then just hung up on us. We were just inquiring about having him come for a seasonal check. Most rude and arrogant response I have ever received on a basic inquiry call. Glad he has good reviews on his work, but I could never work with a person that represented his company in the way he did by just hanging up on us because we wanted to look up his company.

If you want honest and dedicated service, this is the company you want. I was referred to command by a coworker, and I can’t speak highly enough. Less than a day response time, service rates that smash competition, and the fact that the OWNER of the company held his word and was at my home at 8AM sharp on a Saturday speaks volumes. Ron knew within seconds of seeing my AC system what the problem was, and did not try to up-sell or lie. He was clear and upfront with what he needed to do to fix it, and after he did our AC was performing better than it had ever been.
