We were very satisfied with the work that groundworks and their staff did and encapsulating our basement. Trenton did a great job of telling us what was wrong, what needed to be done, and the cost that it would entail. He was very helpful in telling us how to prepare the basement for the service call. Groundworks called and texted to let us know who is coming and when they would be there. Jose, was the cruise chief and assisted by CJ and Austin. They were on time. Respectful and helpful. A five-star review from me.

Codi came out to give us an estimate, which was scheduled for 90 minutes, but he ended up spending just over three hours with us. My wife and I ask a lot of questions, and he took the time to explain what they were proposing and why it was the best solution for our situation. He answered everything clearly without making me feel uncomfortable for asking, and he addressed all of my concerns about the proposed approach.

Follow up. Today was construction day and it was great. Wesley (funny hat guy), Chase (concrete??? ), and Kody (Maui) were wonderful. We spent most of the day with them learning, geeking, and giving/getting friendly banter. They were courteous and thoughtful with regards to our property, reconstruction plans, and needs. They were also very efficient. The job site was left quite neat for all the work that was accomplished. They even saved some of my 2x4s so I can put them back up when I refinish this part of my basement.

Brogan and his crew, Aaron, Caden and Jacob did a great job straightening our basement wall. They explained everything before they started and kept me informed throughout the job. They had no problem with me watching them work. They were very professional. I highly recommend this crew. Rick, the CFI, was also great to work with. I felt confident that he was honest in his recommendations. Only recommending the work that needed to be done, but also pointing out things that could be done or not to worry about.

A few weeks later I had Groundworks out to do some waterproofing. Matthew, Will and Jacob (who was also on the wall anchor crew) did a great job. Very professional and focused on getting the job done.

Very unprofessional and bad work ethic. I called them on March 19th and made an appointment for March 30th to give me a quote to finish a 1600 sq.ft basement. They never showed up. When I called them to see if they were running late they told me they didn't even have a record of me making the appointment and told me to make one a week later. Do better.

We had a bad flood in our home and S&A was on the job extremely fast. They are fast, honest, communicated well and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor.

We were very pleased with John VanSickle and his crews on the construction of our patio cover. john was involved in all aspects and always available to answer any concerns we had. I would highly recommend them.

This was our first home construction project, and we changed our mind several times throughout the process.
Guess what.... they smiled 😁 and accommodated my wife's every decision.

Had smoke damage throughout upstairs of house. Nate Johnson was very professional and quickly got mitigation process started. S and A did thorough, quality work. Now it looks better than before the damage happened!

Found company on Home Advisor. Roof & gutter job was completed in 1 day. Afterwards, took pics of the house and emailed them to us. We live 2 1/2 hrs away. Month later, family emergency & stayed at house. Asked for adjustment on a small gutter section. They came out, sameday and made the adjustment. Checked around house again for clean up of any material left around house. Good job.

My upstairs flooded causing damage downstairs S&A handled everything from dealing with the insurance company to making sure everything was dried out, making all necessary repairs and getting our house back to normal again. I would highly recommend them. Thank you.

So here's my story, on October 16, 2018 I was at work when the water filter underneath my kitchen sink had exploded due to who knows what and when I came home it was just a disaster. Underneath the kitchen sink it looked like a bomb went off, then the water leaked to the basement ceiling and ruined that and also the walls plus part of the carpet and leaked to the ceiling and wall of a bedroom. I called my insurance right away to put a claim on this and my insurance got S&A Construction to come out and cut out the ceiling, dry wall, carpet, etc. and to dry out the area where it has been damaged by water so no mold will build up. James Sampson and his crew showed up and did there thing and got done around 12:00am - 1:00am. I asked them if they can fix the damage that the water has completely destroyed and agreed, he'll have one of his people out here, measure up the place and give me an estimate. On October 31, 2018 at 7:55am I get a text from Annie Nelson with S&A Construction stating that she will be in charge of the repair side of the claim and she needed to go over the adjusters estimate which I rather get a call and talk to her instead of a text but that didn't happen. At 8:02am I texted her back stating the time and day of when I would like to meet up which was at 6:00pm on November 1, 2018, I got no response until 9:53pm same day stating that she is ok with the time and day. So the next day after work I go straight home and waited for Annie to show up, she arrives around 6:45pm. Now the thing that was interesting to me is that she brought her kids with her to come and get an estimate of the damage etc.... Her kids were probably ages 7 and 13? I definitely think that is so unprofessional to bring your kids to work with you when you're doing something like this. So I invite them in and her son wanted to watch TV so I turned it on and changed the channel for him and the daughter just followed her mom everywhere. So I was just saying to myself, "let's get this over with" so Annie went around and did her thing, took a good hour and a half looking upstairs and downstairs. When we came back upstairs from the basement and her son was definitely making himself comfortable putting his feet up on my coffee table with his shoes on and just relaxing. I'm the type of person that does not like that at all, that's very disrespectful to put your feet up on my coffee table with your shoes on. So I was closing up the chat with Annie and she informed me that she did not have all the supplies she needed to give me a estimate right then and there and she was worried that if she gave me a quote I would go and find other contractor to compare and she did not want herself to "GET BURNED" because that has happened to her many times. So I'm thinking to myself is this how it's supposed to be? Her telling me that she couldn't give me my estimate because she doesn't want me to go compare to other places and to lose a customer? *keep in mind that I've never done this before* so I told her not to worry I'll most likely use S&A Contractors and she said that she will e-mail me the estimate and left. So I gave it 5 days November 6, 2018 11:34am until I texted her wanting an update on the estimate and that I've never received an e-mail from her in regards to that. She texts me right away and informed me that she planned on working it that day and will forward when complete and I replied with an ok. It is now January 5, 2019 and I still have not received any response from them! James Sampson was good to work with but Annie Nelson is so unprofessional and not consistent! I'm very upset and my house is still a disaster! I have not been able to invite anyone over because of the damage. I wanted to work with S&A Construction because they're connected with my insurance company but not hearing from them and having the experience I had with Annie was just crazy. I would not recommend this company to anyone but to each their own Goodluck guys!

S & A Construction helped with some exterior remodeling of my business. They listened to my ideas and offered suggestions to make it even better. The finished project gets compliments from my customers every day. I would recommend them and I would use them again.

When John arrived for an estimate - I immediately felt the presence of a professional company. My spirit was pleased with this company. The price was fair and he included in the package all information identifying his company as a professional company. When the crew arrived, they were just as professional and placed my gutters in a timely fashion in chilling weather. When I need work done, I will contact John.

We had a leak under the dishwasher our insurance called these guys to help us and what a ride it has been.
They came in took control and cleaned up a nasty mess in my finished basement.
During the kitchen tear down our oven was damaged. The moment the owner was informed he called me personally about how sorry HE was.
Stuart told me whatever it takes to make things right they would do. They really stepped up. My wife asked about a gas line for a new gas stove they put it in that week so we could get our kitchen back up and running.
During the rebuild we had another water leak in our downstairs bedroom.
S and A team just happened to be here working as soon as it was found they just took control.

Helped move furniture got the water leak found and stopped. Took care of insurance company.

We are one day from our house being done ( just trim work) and my wife and I could not be happier we upgraded our carpet and kitchen and bathroom floors and these guys were patient with us and made our house looks great.

Used this company for roofing, guttering and painting (exterior and interior). The paint crews did an excellent job top quality. the roofing had some minor issues which Nate noticed and took care of before I had even noticed them. Guttering has had some issues and Nate is sending someone back out to take care of it. It's good to have someone who stands behind their work and fixes any problems that come up months after they have finished the job.

Deryk came out to give me an estimate, he was on time and very professional. I needed work done on the siding and trim on my house.
He kept in touch with me while scheduling a date to do the work. The work was done right on time and in one day. The guys were on time, clean and did great work!
I will definitely call them again to do work on our house.

I worked with Deryk from S & A. They were recommended by our insurance company to replace the hail damaged roof. They worked directly with our insurance company for supplemental payment for necessary upgrades to bring the roof into code as well, so I didn't have to worry about any of it. Deryk was very responsive to my phone calls and emails and the workmanship was very good.

They worked quickly - removed and replaced shingles on our duplex and garage in a single day. Definitely recommended for roofing work.

For an easy way to resolve roofing problems, please call this company. From initial contact until completion, the staff were professional and efficient. Upon completion, workers cleaned up the area and there was nothing for the homeowner to do but relax, knowing problem areas were resolved. A very pleasant experience.

Needed some work done to my foundation and called S&A to come out and take a look at it. We got the work done and for a reasonable price. All things considered would say my experience was beyond my expectations. Very happy with the work and enjoyed the exchange.
