Our basement flooded and Nate with S&A construction was a godsend. They handled our situation with speed and professionalism, and helped us through a terrible situation. We couldn't be more pleased with them

After my roof, window trim and awnings were damaged by a hail storm, I had to file my first insurance clam. S&A Construction took care of all of the damage, including taking on additional (non-insurance) work to repair the ceiling in my sunroom. Their staff is professional, friendly (my dogs loved them) and the finished result is just beautiful. I appreciated the time and effort they took to answer my questions and ensure I was satisfied with the results after each job was completed. I highly recommend S&A and their amazing crew! (Thank you, John, Jason and all of your team members, for several jobs well done!)

The customer service Nate provides is always great and we're so glad we found a good contractor. We know a lot can go wrong and that just isn't the case with S&A. I trust them to provide quality work and appreciate them so much.

If there's ever anything we're not happy with, no matter how small, they make sure it's right before closing the job. And I can be picky so kudos from this happy customer!

I live in an old home in College Hill and contacted S&A because they are one of only two companies certified in lead abatement in Wichita (that do residential anyway). I had a very large scope of work that was still being defined, mainly including doors and windows with lead paint that needed to be either stripped or encapsulated. I met with Stuart and John and they were great during the meeting. I followed up and reached them once afterwards and they said I’d have an estimate from them soon. I never heard back and so I followed up a couple weeks later, then a couple months later. I was disappointed given their generally great reviews that I couldn’t even get the courtesy of a call back to let me know if they were no longer interested in doing the work. The same woman took my message the last two or three times I called, and she was upfront in saying she had given it to them and wasn’t sure why they hadn’t gotten back with me. I don’t know if it’s because I have small children and they didn’t want to take on any liability from working with lead hazards, but that seems to be the point of the certification they have. We discussed our family leaving the house while the work was being done and what kind of costs we were looking at. The lack of communication or follow through is really frustrating.

When my house burned down, I didn't know what I was going to do. I had never dealt with a contractor before. John VanSickle was very understanding and patient with me during the process. The workers work hard, quickly, and efficiently. S & A worked hard and was able to get us back into our home before the projected completion date!!! Excellent customer service from all employees.

Nate came out and understood exactly what the problem was on our house. His team came out and fixed the problems and everything went smooth smoothly. The lead construction guy, Josh, did a great job. Congrats to him and his team for the diligent work. The cost came in around the original estimate, even though I asked for a few additional things to be put on. I would definitely recommend this company for your house issues.

Nate and his team were great to work with. We worked with S&A after our house flooded during a severe storm. It was an incredibly stressful time but the crew did an amazing job taking my family into account while taking care of the water damage. Nate kept me informed daily of the progress. Once the water mitigation was done the crew did a great job getting the house ready for me and my family to move back in. Including getting us on the schedule quickly to replace the insulation in the attic so we could move back in during a heat wave.
Will definitely be calling them for future renovation projects.

Nate from S&A construction was a joy to work with. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions in depth. This was greatly appreciated, as I know very little about roofing. He met with the insurance adjuster at my house to make sure nothing was missed. He kept in contact with the adjuster to work out the details. I felt very comfortable with Nate – I never felt he would take advantage of my lack of construction knowledge. I had complete trust in him. The work was performed quickly and efficiently. I was out of town when the work was done. When I arrived home, there were no signs that they had even been there. I was very impressed with their work and professionalism. Highly recommended!

My insurance sent them to estimate my roofing claim. I’ve never known them before, honestly, I was lazy to shop around, though. So, I decided to let them do the job. Nate Johnson was my contact point. He was friendly, pleasant to communicate and work with. The job was done on time with a reasonable cost. Highly recommended!

They don't pay their sub contractors! Beware of this company. Very shady business practices going on. Would not recommend 0/10.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Great company to work with. Estimate was very competitive, work performed on schedule and the crew was professional and cleaned up work area daily. I will use this company for any future home repairs that may come up. If you need home repairs and trying to find a great contractor, they are definitely worth the call.

This company is absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with the end result. I highly recommend this business.

They don’t pay their bills. A contract means nothing. The owner doesn’t return calls, and the poor office manager has to deal with us trying to collect what’s owed. In addition, really look at their Google reviews. The owner gave his own company 5 stars:). There are other reviews from the same person, multiple times, and their company, multiple times, in an effort to improve the score. Shady practice, nonetheless. Keep looking for a different company.

We started this project in june. Finally got the slab poured 2 weeks ago, the pour is so bad that it needs to be tore out and re-done. He said he would protect my yard from damage, which didn't happen. They sent 2 guys out here to tear off the deck with 2 hammers and a crowbar. I ended up doing 2/3rds of the work myself with my tools which they didn't have. They cut my cox's cable thecutmy
