Update for a repair scheduled 8/28/24 between 8-12. I continued to get updated arrival estimates pushing back the arrival time to 2:07 pm (obviously outside the scheduled window, which was a problem as I had to reschedule my morning, having been told no afternoon times were available.
The technician then apparently reported the service as complete, no explanation of what he did with the parts that had been ordered and delayed the scheduled repair by another two weeks after the last visit. Clearly either Bryan has a really problem understanding how to tell the truth and lacks the most important quality of a repair technician, showing up.
The dispatch office could only confirm he reported the repair as complete.
I would not recommend doing business with Sears Home services and especially with Bryan. I thought the first repair schedule snafu was a problem with the organization, but he may have misrepresented what info he had then. Here is hoping the next generation of tradesmen can do better. My home warranty is referring me to a different repair service.
Sears has asked for a rating for the technician, but he was fine the process of working with the program has been utterly unsatisfactory. Three weeks ago my washer stopped functioning. I contacted my home warranty which contracts with Sears and I was automatically for about a week out. Then I got a bot contact to try to have ME diagnose the problem, I was asked to photograph the appliance and describe the problem in more detail. I responded as best I could, then got a message I had been rescheduled for two weeks later. I received a part (a motor) that apparently had been ordered for the repair in only a few days but still had to wait for the appointment that had been rescheduled. The tech arrived yesterday he stated he got none of the information I had provided to the bot nor the information that ‘a technician’ supposedly reviewed the information I provided to the bot and decided what part to order and to delay the appointment ‘to allow time for the part and to assure when a technician arrived that it could be repaired immediately an not delay the repair. The technician who showed up noted that there are many parts needed and he could not fix it. He thought I needed a new washer since mine was so old. He explained that the warranty company would have to review for 24 hours to determine if additional parts and repairs would be needed. Now I am waiting to hear how much longer I will have to wait. Had the original appointment been honored, that process would have occurred two weeks ago. And the only feedback Sears is asking for is about the technician. Sears consider spending some money on improving your process and reviewing the timeframes from the time of request to the time of resolution. I will be stuck with Sears as long as I have a warranty, and I know I am fortunate to have one. As of now I have not had a functioning washer for three weeks, paid my ‘deductible’ three weeks ago, and have been making my monthly payments on the warranty. I am not aware if or when it will be repaired. -
Had an appointment, rearranged my whole day and never showed up with zero updates.

Ethan took the time to review the issue prior to arrival and provided advice on monitoring for future problems. I appreciated his honest opinion and availability. Easy online scheduling, excellent communication regarding appointment and efficient follow up with texts on arrival window within the 8 hour time frame. I was very impressed and will call again if we need repair.

Had an appointment, time got pushed back 3 hrs out of original window, and then never showed. There is no way to reach a live human to talk through about this.
-
He was very thorough and super knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything in a way I would understand. Would highly recommend him to anyone.

Our repair man Simmeian (spelled wrong ) was polite friendly and got right to work. I will use this service again. This man is a credit to your company. Give him a big raise.

My technician, Bobby, explained what was going on with the heat pump and thoroughly helped me to understand how it works with the auxiliary heat. I really appreciated the time he took and the patience he had with my renters miscommunication on his arrival

Getting them to keep an appointment was extremely difficult with no way to speak to a real person. Their AI process is unacceptable! The kept stating that the part was not shipped but I had it in my hands for 3 days and relayed to them multiple ways. The turn around time was not worth the problems they gave me. The tech was ok but the non communication and not caring for the customer was unacceptable. Avoid them.

Sears Appliance Home Repair is 100% a scam. DO NOT GO WITH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. I had to use them because of my Lowe's warranty so thankfully I didn't have to pay. I have had numerous appointment cancellations with no reasons or heads up whatsoever. When they do come out, the tech was fine. However, it has taken about 5 different reschedules to get to this point. As of today, I have been waiting a month and a half to get my dishwasher fixed and I still have no idea if it will happen. You also cannot get in touch with a human no matter what you try. Even Lowes themself cannot get in touch. Its literally impossible. 100% pure garbage. Avoid like the plague. This place should be shut down immediately.

The GE frig repair technicians were fine. They did a great job. HOWEVER, the Sears AI driven scheduling system is a complete DISASTER. I will NOT use Sears again. Sears has leaned too far into AI and needs live agents (other than a laborious CHAT) to help when AI falls flat. My schedule repair was delayed a week when AI said "parts are not there"-- the parts were here. And attempting to get an agent to actually assist further led to frustration and delay. The repair was set to occur was set to occur 1/16/26 1-5 PM. When I asked by CHAT (finally for through) it reset for 8-12 that day-- it was already 0900 AM !! No one showed up and could not contact any one on status. I wasted hours waiting. Had to set another AI online date later into the following week. This entire process was extremely frustrating !!!

After 4 trips to Lowes & Home Depot, out of SPP in 10 minutes. Had exactly what I needed for an older home. Even checked to what would be cheaper for me.
