We had Emrick Services replace all the flooring in our home due to damage from a burst pipe. Josh Thompson and his crew did a great job. We would highly recommend this company!

After our basement got really wet, we were overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. Josh and his team came through immediately and made a stressful situation so much easier to handle. Their team was responsive and incredibly knowledgeable.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with these guys! After a small water leak in our home, we were overwhelmed and stressed—but their team stepped in and completely turned the situation around. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, prompt, and incredibly thorough.

They assessed the damage quickly and clearly explained every step of the restoration process. Within hours, they had industrial dryers and dehumidifiers running, and they kept us updated throughout the entire process. What impressed me most was how respectful and careful they were with our home—they treated it like their own.

Thanks to their hard work, there’s no trace of the water damage at all. The area looks even better than before!

I can't say enough good things about this company. A "sewage blowout" in our basement bathroom from a plugged septic filter left me in tears- it was disastrous. They came out the very next morning, cleaned and sanitized everything. It looked as if the blowout had never happened when they were done. We had antique clocks stored in wet boxes near the drain, that Joseph helped me unpack and sort out what was salvageable (thank goodness for packing in bubble wrap). We are on fixed income and the price was very reasonable. Put this company first on your list when you need help!

***Update on Nightmare***
Emrick's manager came to our house today uninvited, unscheduled and unannounced. He proceeded to violently bang on our doors and windows repeatedly for over 15 minutes.

When he receive no answer he left and returned an hour later and banged on all the doors and windows around our house again, along with our garage doors.

We find this type of behavior extremely alarming and abusive, as I'm sure any Louisville resident would.

No one deserves to be treated this way - we are appalled by the experience we've had and treatment we've been given by Emrick Services.

We sincerely hope no one ever has to live through what we've gone through.

Nightmare experience working with Emrick!

Emrick Services were brought in to fix and clean water damage after a plumber flooded our basement - words can't even begin to describe how poorly they performed their job.

We dealt with zero communication, nasty attitudes by management and the absolute shoddiest work I've ever seen(see photos).

Not sure what happened to leaving something in better shape then you found it but Emrick left our carpets and walls stained and filthy, they left carpet torn, pulled away from walls, ripped at seams, they knocked holes in our drywall and left it that way.

We were assured all baseboard would be replaced and rechalked. Instead nothing was rechalked and entire sections of baseboard went missing.

In addition to our carpet being stained, it is now left with peaks and valleys as if we were setting sail on the Pacific. The pad beneath the carpet appears to be missing in sections and doubled up in others. Beyond terrible.

We will certainly be reporting Emrick to the BBB, contacting Kentucky's licensing board and spreading the word on the way we were treated.

Unless you want to litigate the company you bring in to help you in a time of need, we'd highly recommend avoiding Emrick at all costs.

I wish we could add more than 5 stars for the work Joseph Hoagland and Emrich Services did for us. We had a bad sewage back-up from an MSD issue and called Emrich. Joseph had done other work for us for a different issue and we already knew he'd be thorough and easy to work with.
Even though Joseph had his crew on another job, he came over that day to assess the situation and put in fans to help dry the water. The next day he and his crew were there to do the clean-up. Along with clean-up, the crew also checked for mold and did preventive treatments.
Unfortunately, the MSD issue hadn't been corrected yet and the Emrich crew, led by Joseph, had to clean additional times. Between cleanings, Joseph came to personally inspect to see if water were still seeping in.
This became a complex situation for us and Joseph was always understanding, efficient and respectul.
After the MSD issue was fixed, Joseph and crew repaired damage caused by the water backup, including drywall repair.
No one could have done a better job and we are very grateful!

My freinds basement flooded. I called Emrick spoke with general manager Josh Thompson.
Within 1hour the team showed up with all kinds of fans mold mover machines. They moved the furniture and put all back in place when job completed. if you have water damage Emrick is the one to call. Very trust worthy and prices are great. Hats off to Joseph,Carson ,Dale. great team work!!! 5 stars

Emrick Services did a fantastic job of cleaning up after a roof replacement went sideways. The entire staff was friendly, professional and timely with all repairs and communicated next steps effectively. I'd recommend their services!

I had leakage in my crawl space. My warranty service contracted United Plumbing services. I had no clue as to what had broken, and my nerves were shot. The contractor handed me the business card for Emrick Services for the water removal process. Despite the fact that I didn't use their services. Someone from this company came to my aid. For this amazing display of professionalism, I had to leave a review. If you have ANY type of damage to your home and you need assistance, by ALL means I recommend Emrick Services. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My basement sump pump went out spring of 2025 & water came up through floor soaking the entire basement while I was out of town. I contacted my ins company and they gave me two restoration service companies - both were unresponsive. My neighbor had used & recommended Emrick Services. I contacted them online that evening and they sent Joseph Hoagland out the next morning. He looked over my situation & had a crew in by EOD. They took up baseboards, cut out drywall, cleaned mold, sprayed anti microbial and brought in equipment to dry it all out. They were professional, timely and communicated what was going on.
Unfortunately, I had the "pleasure" of needing them again last week, when a copper pipe in the basement ceiling flooded a smaller portion of the basement but caused more damage to a ceiling and wall. I had saved Joseph's number from the first time, so I reached out to him directly and once again he got there that day and had equipment set up to get me dried out. I am extremely happy with the service I got from Joseph (especially) but also Dale, Vinnie & Carson.
Nothing is inexpensive when it comes to restoration services but I thought Emrick gave me a more than reasonable quote both times.
I just hope I never have to see them again, at least not professionally. Based on my experiences, I would definitely recommend.

I really don’t want to leave even a star. It has been 6 months and I still don’t have the flooring I was told I was getting to. E installed. They brought the wrong flooring and thought I would accept it after they were installing some of it. It had been a nightmare. Nobody returns a phone call or a text. The only person who responds is Melissa via email. They didn’t mind cashing a check in June. Very very disappointed. Would never recommend this business. I had to order my flooring to match the rest of my house from Flooring Concepts. They found my flooring within 4 days and had been .

I’ve had multiple water leaks over the past few years. Emrick Services was recommended to me by a friend, and I utilized their services for each leak. Joseph and his crew came out right away to handle the water mitigation, and they were very thorough and made sure that they removed all of the affected areas. They came back several times to check and make sure that everything was drying out effectively. I also used Emrick for the repairs for the last two leaks. Josh Thompson handled the first build back and did a wonderful job. Carly Carr was in charge of the most recent rebuild. She was very proactive in making suggestions for flooring and vanity replacements. She was always very timely and responsive to all questions that I had throughout the process. She was able to get the project started and finished quickly and thoroughly. The crew did a wonderful job on the repairs. Carly was on site every day to make sure the project was running smoothly. After all the repairs were completed, Carly came back out to check that everything was done properly and to see if there were any outstanding issues. I highly recommend Carly and the rest of the Emrick team for their caring nature, thoroughness and professionalism. I will also use their services for any future remodeling projects that may come up. I certainly hope that I don’t have any more water issues, but if I do, I will definitely be calling Emrick Services for their assistance.

We were very pleased with the restoration services provided by Emerick. We had an emergency issue from water line under kitchen sink bursting and had our kitchen dining room living room and entire finished basement flooded. We were referred by the . plumber who came out and I contacted Emerick and Joseph was at out home within the hour and had a crew later that same day! Impressed by the thoroughness and attention they gave to documenting the extent of damage to provide our insurance company. Later Toby was in charge of restoring our home. He and his crew did an excellent job! Once restoration started it moved quickly. We would highly recommend Emerick!! They are courteous and extremely professional!!

Changed tub to shower. Experienced, polite crew of 2 finished as promised. Sales process professional, local, and nor high-pressure. Materials solid. Free labor promo only discounted the job by 25% but we were able to negotiate a bit more.

This was my second tub to shower replacement the two installers done a very professional job. You could not ask for any better.
