I knew Bernie from his days as a home inspector and was always impressed with his knowledge and passion regarding HVAC systems. When it was time to replace a system, I had the good fortune of meeting his son Mike for an evaluation/estimate for replacement. The apple didn't fall far from the tree! Mike spent over an hour at our house evaluating every aspect of our old system, how we used it, what issues we had in all seasons, etc. The bid he provided was thorough and addressed everything we had discussed. The install crew was fantastic. The start time was 8am and the first truck arrived at 745 (I knew that was the Bernie effect!). The guys worked hard throughout the day, keeping us informed of their progress, and walking us through everything we needed to know before they left the house. Everyone I encountered with this firm, including the lady who took my initial call, have all been exceptional. I would give 10 stars if it were possible!

Have always had great service from Bernie Hartung employees. Prompt, professional and efficient. Extra kudos to Jessica for how well she manages the schedules and workflow.

Mike took his time explaining the products that were suggested. I had an AC unit and a Furnace installed. They were very neat, on time and very professional. They installed not just the AC but a platform for the AC and new wiring as well. The new furnace had New duct work, safety switch, metal tray should there ever be a leak.
The unit is also whisper quiet! Which s what I was interested in, especially for an upstairs unit.
So, well Done! I could not be more pleased!

Been using them for 15+ years on a bunch of rental properties as well as personal and family homes. Hvac is one thing in my life I feel like is completely taken care of and I don't have to worry about. They are honest, professional and know what they are doing which I've found leads to longer lasting units. In 15 years they've never been back to work on one of their own installs!

We called Bernie Hartung out for a repair, during which they discovered that our heat exchanger was damaged and leaking dangerous levels of CO. Based on the age of the furnace we decided it was a better investment to replace it. Mike was able to shift some things around get the team out the next morning to limit how long we were without heat. The work the team did was clean and professional. Talking with them it's clear they're craftsmen who take pride in doing it right. In my conversations with Mike it's also clear they care about the community and doing right by their customers. We will definitely continue doing business with Bernie Hartung and won't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Hartung team of Larry, Danny and Alfredo did an aexcellent install with a new A/C line along with a new overflow pan in my attic, bc it had crack and leaked into the master bath. HVAC company by builder Conor McGauley jacked up the install 2.5 years ago. I highly recommend Bernie & Mike Hartung HVAC !!!!

Matt from Bernie Hartung and Associates was terrific. He came out the day I called and had my 22 year old ac unit up and running that day. Instead of pushing me to buy a new unit, like another company had done, he convinced me to give my older unit a new life with some quick repairs. I will certainly use them when it does come time to replace my unit and anytime I need a repair done as well.

Bernie Hartung & Associates are great to work with. They know their stuff and give it to you straight. They did a great job on installing a new indoor and outdoor unit at my rental house and I also had them replace a fan motor on my primary residence outdoor unit. Excellent Service and quality work.

Mike and his team had to come in and clean up after the incompetence of the companies that our Home Warranty sent to us.
I wish there was a home warranty company where you were able to select the service provider. Unfortunately, all the reputable companies do not want to deal with the Home Warranty companies. That results in all the lowest rated contractors to respond do yourself a favor and hire this company from the start. They will do it right. They will do it for a fair price. And they will only do what needs to be done.

Great company to work with. I have had him work on 2 of my houses, replacing heat pumps and servicing units. They have been quick to respond when equipment has stopped working. Mike has provided competitive estimates and quick installation even in a very hot attic. Very professional crews provide installation, service, and inspection in Lexington too.
