Everyone we worked with at Mr. Rooter was professional and polite. Colby and Trevor did a great job in our basement and in the yard rerouting our basement draining system. Clean up was completed and they were able to answer all our questions.

Erik showed up first thing in the morning ready to work, despite our only asking for an estimate to repair a major leak in our sewer line. He suggested we get the city out while he was there to see if they might do the work. While he waited he grabbed a shovel and started digging in the sewage soaked ground to find the problem with no contract yet. He just wanted to find the problem even if the city fixed it. REALLY impressive! Turns out we did use Mr. Rooter to fix the problem. Techs Anthony and Markel showed up very quickly and worked steadily until the job was done. Really nice guys who did a great job, fast. Yesterday raw sewage in our backyard - this afternoon the only evidence is the straw on the fixed and filled spot! Oh, and for less than the estimate!

Kevin and Gunner were great. We had a leak that needed attention and they handled it quickly and professionally. They worked efficiently to get the job done right. The service is great, technician is very experienced & nice but the Price is too high

First, I was very impressed with the expediency of the visit. Patrick was here within an hour from when I called. We had two tasks for him and he laid out options for repairs without pressuring us to “buy up.” He was very personable but professional—He even bonded with one of our dogs. I don’t usually take the time to do reviews but wanted to write one now for him. I highly recommend him.

Kevin was honest, fast, and incredibly nice. He did excellent work. Highly recommend him.

CONSUMERS BEWARE OF INFLATED OVERHEAD COSTS AND LACK OF PRICING TRANSPARENCY

First, I want to credit the technicians for their professionalism and quality work: I hired Mr. Rooter to address a degraded cast iron outlet line and failing septic system. The technicians arrived on time, diagnosed the issue accurately, and completed the work as scheduled. They cut through our concrete patio, excavated around the outlet pipe and septic tank, pumped and inspected the tank, and cleaned up, leaving the site in a reasonable condition. Communication with the team was straightforward and easy.
When I brought some concerns up to management, they were very attentive and even sent someone out to check on the site and ask questions in person.

Now, for the downside...

PRICING IS SET AT THE CORPORATE LEVEL, meaning that local franchisees and technicians have limited control over rates. This seems to be the trade-off when hiring a large, well-resourced company. I received three quotes from local independent contractors, each of which was at least half of what Mr. Rooter ultimately billed me. I spent about 45 minutes speaking with a manager to share my concerns. She was attentive and provided explanations about their pricing model but didn’t offer the cost transparency I’d hoped for.

In my opinion, the franchise overhead doesn’t justify the inflated rates, which feel excessive. For homeowners, I strongly recommend researching local contractors and getting quotes before proceeding with Mr. Rooter, as you may find comparable service at a much lower cost.

I called Me. Rooter on December 2 to get a quote on repairs to my water line. I spoke with Amanda on the phone, she was very helpful and seemed to care about getting my problems resolved. She informed me that she would have a technician come out that very day to inspect my lines. Shawn Smith the technician came to inspect my line. He was there a couple of hours. Talk about speedy service. He was very professional and friendly. Erick Ferguson came out the following day to give me an estimate on the repairs needed. He was also very professional and friendly. I asked him how soon could they start he said that they should be able to start the following day.

It is very obvious that Mr Rooter requires professionalism from It’s employees. From the Phone calls to the operations everyone was polite and professional. Thanks for a good experience.

My experience with your company was terrible.we ended paying 500 for nothing . The estimate was 700 4 hours later it was 1700 then 2100 . Fixed the problem my self for 40 dollars and 2 hours with a borrowed small battery powered snake . I give you 0 stars and any time I see one of your vehicles at some ones house will probably stop and warn them against you . Well have to click at least one star just to get thos posted.

Kevin was very pleasant and professional. Very Very nice young man. He came and showed us what was wrong not just with words but with pictures he took of the problem we were having with our drain line and sink. He then returned to do the Job and did good work. Good person to get when you call.

Mr Rooter was as always a reliable business. Called yesterday for routine tankless hot water heater flush. They were able to get me an appointment with in next day. They called morning of appointment to let me know technician on way. Steve Smith arrived shortly after that. Quoted me service prior to. Work done approximately an hour after starting. Service was professional and prompt. Steve was able to answer any questions I had regarding the service. Will use Mr Rooter in future and would highly recommend them.

My problem WAS NOT ALLEVIATED! still plunging and fishing out turds! Return call to Brittany on hold almost,8 min to talk to a supervisor and will send them to PULL MY TOILET. Unacceptable!! I spent 279.00 and cannot pay another 500.00 dollars to pull my commode off of the floor!!!!!!??!!!!!!

Dean, Colby, and Alan were professional and proficient in installing a water line to my house. I wasn't sure your company could handle a large job but your team was great.

Install a pressure reducer on water supply and installed it backwards. Didn’t know it until 1 yr later when having another company install a water heater and they were checking the water pressure and noticed it was backwards. They turned it around the right direction and realized it was damaged. I was out $400 to get it replaced with labor and all. When I called them I was told I should have called before now, like I would have known it was backwards.
