Ivan has been amazing throughout our whole journey of buying this house. He identified problems with the irrigation system before I even contracted him to take care of our lawn. He’s always willing to talk to me about anything I need and what’s best for my lawn highly recommend.

I used this lawn service when I first moved into my house. The owner is very easy to work with and communicates very well and is extremely friendly and professional. The lawn services provided were absolutely perfect and at a great price. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for service, and would definitely hire the company again.

I signed up for lawn service with Ivan and so far so good. He’s been with me for about four months and I’ve never had one issue he’s been on time and his quality is great. I highly recommend him if you’re looking for lawn service he’s located in Cape Coral.

I moved into a rental property and the grass was at least a foot high and starting to look like a jungle. I contacted Ivan and he showed up the very next day and made my front, sides and backyard look amazing! I opted in for every other week and like clockwork I would come home to a beautifully maintained yard after being on the road for work. It’s awesome to be able to rely on someone taking care of things while I’m constantly traveling. The last thing I’ll say is not only is he polite and super easy to talk to, he makes the payment process super easy. He will set you up with a recurring payment that you can rely on being the same day every month. I know there are a ton of landscapers in Cape Coral, but I highly recommend using Ivan at Cape Strong Lawn Care. He is a one man show and will blow your mind with his attention to detail. We have had the best experience with Ivan at Cape Strong Lawn Care. He is very detail- oriented, edging is clean! He takes care in making sure the entire lawn front and back, and around pavers is picture perfect. He is prompt, very reliable. A+ Work

I’ve been using Cape Strong Lawn Care for my yard maintenance, and Ivan has been great to work with. Even during dry periods, he takes the time to clean up and make sure everything still looks neat and well cared for.

He has also trimmed the trees around my home, and his work is always detailed and done with care. On top of that, his pricing is very reasonable for the quality of service he provides.

If you’re looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and fairly priced, I would definitely recommend Ivan and Cape Strong Lawn Care.

Joseph is incredibly knowledgeable and did an amazing job at explaining what treatments he was doing, and what we should and shouldn't do moving forward. I spoke with Jerry this morning. He inspected my lawn and recommended the lawn needed a dry nitrogen/potash treatment to improve the roots. I would like to request that this dry fertilizer be used for the next few treatments to repair and improve our lawn. I would also request that Jerry be assigned to my property for future treatments as he is very knowledgeable. Thank you.

I’ve found TruGreen to be both professional and reliable and I’m happy with my results from their treatments. The service techs are friendly, knowledgeable and always inform me each time prior to servicing my lawn.

We see no improvement in lawns being serviced by Tru-Green. I also see some indications of too much fertilizer (strips of very brown grass).
I do not wish to continue using Tru-Green for our lawn maintenance.

Our three lawn services wIth Tru Green were great! Very efficient and knowledgeable. Explained what was completed, what we can expect and what we can do to enhance our lawn. Very happy and look forward to seeing our improved lawn and shrubs. Plus no Florida pests! Recommend their employees and service!!

I recently had TruGreen out for lawn treatment, and I have to say the experience was solid from start to finish. The technician arrived on time was professional and took the time to explain what was being applied and why. I appreciated the transparency and the attention to detail.

Technician did a potash treatment of my neighbors lawn, and I expected my lawn to be done too, went out and spoke to him…told me I wasn’t on his schedule.. Called up the headquarters main number spoke to a very helpful lady and the driver was back at my house in 10 minutes putting down the treatment ….satisfied

TruGreen has some really great technicians friendly, professional, and they explain what they’re doing. When the service goes well your lawn can look greener thicker and healthier.

If you get a good tech it’s worth it. But if you're picky about your lawn or want perfect service every time, you might want to look at local options or try a DIY lawn plan.

I have no problem with the tree and shrub portion of my plan,on the other hand the lawn service has been spotty but they reassured me that they will fix the problem. I’m having a problem with sedge weed that is getting out of hand.otherwise they are always calling or sending texts to know how things are going.I always give the benefit of the doubt before making decisions on the care

The motto should be: TruGreen - home of the broken service promises

Once again no scheduled service performed today - this is the second no show in two weeks and we are now 9 weeks since the last full service. I began the process of canceling my service - I will provide a final condensed and updated review once that is complete.

I strongly suggest you look anywhere else for you lawn but the Fort Myers TruGreen office - they are incapable of meeting any service promises the phone staff makes.

Earlier in July:
It was good while it lasted - the irregular visits are back:
No show on 6/30 - no show on 7/12
My lawn looks accordingly.

TLDR:
I cannot recommend going with TruGreen at this time. I would suggest looking for a established local business with recommendations from neighbors that have great looking lawns.
The Local Branch in question here Ft. Myers/Lehigh Acres - but this may be a bigger issue after reading all the other problematic reviews.
The latest update on May 12 is that the local Branch once again rescheduled service on me without any notification and is pushing a re-service for Fireants to over 1 week from my original call.

I have been using TruGreen since 2019. The first two years my experience was positive all around but since 2021 service as become worse, appointment no longer reliable and my lawn having a increasing problem with Dollar-Weed that is now (2022) worse than last year - despite all the assurances that it will get better...

Fireant Service
This is my previous review:
No complaints - service is done well and when revisits are needed they are performed promptly. The treatment makes a big difference and also prevents a lot of ants from wandering from the yard to take a dip in my pool...
However: Once again the local TruGreen office is shining with no-show: I had a re-service scheduled for today May 12 - no one showed up and when calling the office they say it was moved to May 17 - this is once again over 1 week from my original service call.
So much for a customer focused operation.

The positive:
Tree/Shrub Service
No complaints - I didn't have Tree/Shrub service in the first year and was having pest problems. After adding the service in 2020 the Shrubs are now happier than before...

Lawn Fertilization/Weed Control Service
This is where all my troubles are:
I have a increasing Dollar-Weed problem that has been ongoing since Winter 2020/2021 - everytime TruGreen comes out to treat the notice says I should see improvements within 14-21 days - but instead things are getting worse.

Automatically scheduled treatments where like clockwork in the first two year but have become highly erratic in 2021/202.
From my understanding Dollar-Weeds need monthly herbicides - yet some treatment are spaced out much further...

Scheduling Re-Service is hit or miss - I have had 3 missed visits in less than 12 month - and twice was promised a re-service date that has then move to a later date without any notification or explanation.
Here is the latest example:
Re-Service for Dollar-Weeds requested on 4/7
Visit promised for 4/8
No text notifications on 4/8 - checking online visit was scheduled for 4/13 instead
4/13 comes around - I get the text in the morning - then the second text that the technician is on the way by around 1:30 pm - but the technician never shows and at 7pm I call and the best phone representative could do is reschedule for next week. Again no explanation and no sense of urgency and no willingness to reschedule for priority on 4/14
This is not how customer service should look like and unless all of the above points improve significantly through the year I will not renew my service and find a more reliable local company.

Extremely disappointed to how they handled our account.

Bottom line is that they priced our services out to what we had requested. After signing contract and paying in full and for the year, company was unable to service our account due to having various pets in the back yard.

Techs were extremely knowledgeable but corporate office a nightmare to deal with. We have yet to be refunded 100% of monies paid. Made many phone calls to speak with managers only to be pointed in other directions - for some reason they do not maintain a culture that allows to speak with the "higher ups".

I have made many phone calls to try to resolve this issue with no luck. One would think a large company like TruGreen would stand behind their services but I was wrong to think so.

I will now have to take this to my credit card company in hopes they can handle the dispute. I had no luck trying to reach someone at Trugreen that believes in customer/client relations.

John Wyms is a terrific technician. He considered my dogs too. He treated their “favorite” spots in my yard as well as tediously made sure to cover everyplace mosquitoes, ticks & fleas might be breeding. He is kind, considerate and very thorough.
