We used TruGreen a couple of years ago. We have Bahia grass which is very difficult to treat as it is basically a weed and cannot be treated with the same chemicals as other grass types.

They assured us that they could handle Bahia. Well, their solution was to just use the same chemical in lesser strength. Our lawn went from bad to worse. We stopped service and decided this year to re-sod with St. Augustine.

Today, a rep rings my doorbell (we live in a neighborhood with "no solicitation" clearly announced in signage at all entrances) and when I answered, he asked if I would be interested in trying TruGreen.... Why are we not in their computer system so that he knows I WAS a customer?

I would not recommend this company. They seem to hire people off the street with little or no turf experience and have no idea who they have served in the past.

Javier at TruGreen takes his time explaining to me why my yard might not be up to par. He uses his equipment to show me possible problems and gives me solutions so we can work together to provide better service.

I just decided to do my own yard again. Don’t know what they use but never ever seems to green up my yard and if I’m lucky it might kill some of the weeds. Not what I expected out of a nationally known company.

We hired TruGreen to address weed issues in our yard, but the results have been extremely disappointing. Instead of improving our lawn, their treatments severely damaged the grass, leaving us with more weeds than before and forcing us to consider a full grass replacement.

Despite raising concerns from the very beginning, we were repeatedly assured that the situation would improve. Unfortunately, it never did and we are now faced with the costly process of replacing the grass throughout our entire property.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company. The service we received was ineffective, costly, and ultimately damaging to our lawn.

I was also advised to contact Better Business Bureau, which I will be doing.

It all comes down to an experienced technician. So happy Andris has been with us since True Green took over. He is knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Edgar spent the time to explain what was going on with the individual plants/bushes/trees. I am very grateful, you are fortunate to have such a committed ans knowledgeable and customer focused technician! Please share this so he knows how appreciative we are!

He knock on our door to inform us he was here to do the job.
I came out and started telling him about how unhappy I am with the service because of the weeds I still have And showed him.
He agreed with me and said he would take care of it and make notes.
We watched him and he definitely covered the whole yard unlike the previous gentleman.
He is a very good employee and takes his job seriously.

TruGreen is excellent. Service and product quality. Our tech Roger is knowledgable, professional and personable. He adjusts what is done to our property based on our plants/lawn's specific needs. Although this is a large company, the service is specific to your property and needs. I highly recommend them

Had them for a year, the guarantee doesnt mean anything. My grass died, more weeds grew. I received a bill for twice the amount when the contract ran out and they didnt tell me. Charged me $424 for less than 5000 square feet. Said they were doing the bugs and such but the other house at 10000 square feet was only charged $250. Where is the guarantee for a green yard? Sprinklers run, and even in the rainy season it was still growing weeds, guarantee didnt mean anything. I would suggest doing it yourself a favor and staying away. The people are friendly, but whag the service does is not worth it. Over $3000 and my grass looks terrible.

Third visit we received aeration treatment. I marked all the sprinklers with flags and greeted the technician with a map of my property covered under the contract. He expertly handled the machine to hit the areas of my lawn that are in dire need of aeration.

We have been dealing with a massive worm problem for 7 weeks now. Despite countless calls, messages, sending photos and videos, the company has not responded. Our pool and patio are full of worms - it's disgusting and completely unacceptable.
What makes it worse is not the problem itself, but the total lack of service. Mistakes and issues can happen, but ignoring the customer entirely and refusing to give any feedback or support is deeply unprofessional and disrespectful.
Wesley's behavior shows zero responsibility toward his clients. Absolutely not recommended.

The rep that came out to treat the lawn was very professional and very knowledgeable. I have an issue with dollar weed. I called in and spoke with someone in customer service and they had me on the schedule within the week to retreat. TruGreen is very willing to work with the customer to make sure that there is 100% satisfaction .

Trugreen failed to provide good service and did not take any responsibility for the decline of my yard. I am not a full-time resident, so I relied on Trugreen to care for our yard. On April 7th I took pictures of the property to send home to my wife. Two weeks after I took the pictures I hired Trugreen. I could see and hear on my cameras the technician was wearing earbuds, talking and was having an animated conversation. NOT focused on the job he was doing. Slowly the yard started to decline despite staying on the same watering program I had been on which is mandated by the city. I had the salesperson out after I purchased a pallet of sod and he was very apologetic about the condition of my yard. Two days later they sent out a manager. He did not take any responsibility for the condition of my yard. He did not offer any corrective action for my lawn. He was more than happy to offer a refund because he is trained to not take responsibility. They are not a moral company, otherwise the manger would have done more to correct this situation. Trugreen, please do not respond to this review that you care because you don't! You had the chance to make it right and walked away providing a refund that does not come close to covering the $800.00 pallet of sod I already purchased and the additional sod I will need to buy. The pictures provided are from April 2025 to June 2025 oh, and the salesperson that showed compassion has not responded since the manager walked my property. SMH

I have been using TruGreen all year and they are horrible. The last time the tech came out he only sprayed half the yard he even looked at the camera when he was spraying. My yard is still 75 percent weeds and with huge bare spots it seems like they are feeding the weeds and killing the grass. My yard looked better before they started. I don't know how other locations are but this one sucks, be warned, don't use TruGreen call some one else trust me you won't regret it. Here are pictures of my lawn and this is from a year of service which cost a 1000.00 bucks. the last picture is of my neighbors yard on the right and mine on the left, you can see the line where our yards meet. We both have the same kind of grass I have a sprinkler system, he does not and does not use Trugreen. All he does is mow it. The service manager said I need to resod with different grass to have a beautiful green, thick lawn. I've asked for my money back and they offered a free spray. LOL like that's going to help. I'm currently starting the process of suing them in small clams court to get my money back. I can't stress this enough DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, there are plenty of other ones that do a great job.
