Uodate: this is an impromptu review to say that I reached out to Jeff to confirm the watering schedule this time of year while still avoiding fungus and Jeff called me back right away to discuss and he confirmed the date of my next treatment. Thank you! Jeff has been really great to work with and he is very responsive to questions! Just wanted to give a shout out to Jeff - Fertilization and Pest Field Manager at GreenGate. We had a couple of glitches with the last fertilization but GreenGate and Jeff have worked to make corrections and have worked hard to maintain my trust and loyalty to GreenGate. I have been with them for years and I am happy to see that they are willing to take steps to retain a long time customer. Jeff has been very proactive and has made several trips out to check on the lawn and to see if I am happy with the progress. He is very engaging and gives his opinion on what next steps to take. Things happen from time to time in business but it makes me feel more confident to see Jeff and the GG team respond the way they have to address my concerns. Things are looking much better and I am very happy with the proactive communication!

I was having such trouble with my lawn that I was considering artificial turf. I had weeds, bare spots, and crabgrass. I figured for $12,000 I could afford a lot of lawn service. Super professional and my lawn looks amazing. An occasional weed and no bare spots. Highly recommend.

GreenGate explains clearly the services they offer. Their technicians are prompt, efficient and friendly. Johnny did a great job of providing three services in one afternoon.

I used to think this company was doing a good job on my lawn until I went out back and did a close look myself. They've been treating my lawn for a couple of years now. My lawn is thin, patchy and has Virginia Buttonweed and Doveweed. I contacted them and was told it was a watering problem--too much water. We have a sprinkler system. My question is that if it's a watering issue, why wasn't this brought to my attention a long time ago? Why didn't they help me set up what they consider a good watering schedule? Why didn't the technician notice the invasive weeds? Why didn't the technician tell me my lawn was in trouble? Why is it up to me to point these things out to them when I'm paying them to take care of my lawn? I had to pay them extra to send someone to look at my system and to check my sprinkler heads to make sure they are all functioning properly. The next thing was I got a quote for them to "do their magic" on my lawn. It included several steps and treatments. It was all listed in steps. I asked them to break it out for me as to what each step was costing me. They refused. It's either buy it all or buy none. I refused their treatments. To date, no one has contacted me with regard to setting up my watering schedule. Since I didn't agree to buy the treatment package, I guess they decided not to help with my watering schedule. Needless to say, I canceled my service today and I'm now looking for a more attentive lawn business that doesn't rely on me to point out lawn issues and one that is more upfront on their pricing.

Very happy with GreenGate. Not only has the appearance and overall health of my lawn significantly improved since they’ve been providing services, they’re extremely knowledgeable, friendly, responsive, and personal in their care. Jeff, in particular, has taken great care of us, demonstrates a wealth of knowledge and shows that he genuinely cares and wants to see our landscape improve. Couldn’t be happier.

GreenGate came out for routine maintenance treatment. They scheduled in advance, called when they were on the way and were on time.

I've been with this company for many years. They are always very prompt and professional. I often have a giggle when they take pictures of my lawn after every service, but it shows that they do take pride in being meticulous. Omar came out recently to fix a leak issue with our sprinkler pipe which had been inadvertently cut during a lawn service. Very pleased!

I have been a GreenGate customer for a number of years and part of my service includes periodic pruning and cleanups. Today, in suffocating heat, Jesus and Nathan work tirelessly to make my lawn and gardens look better than they have in some time. I was beyond impressed with their work and their can-do attitude toward my every request. I look forward to seeing these guys again in the future.

My technician was David I have always found him to be very professional and very personable. I was using true green and in just the few visits Greengate has all the qualities you look for in a company.
Thanks David for a great jog well done. Sorry I'll have to change my review a bit. I've decided to cancel my service from green gate I've spent over a thousands dollars on their service. I took a good look at my front yard and I don't see that it looks like a thousand dollar yard. Weeds came up I sent pictures of the Weeds and their response was I'd have to dig them up and sent a estimate of $65 dollars an hour to come take care of them. This was not acceptable to me. After canceling the service I would have thought someone would have gotten in touch with me to come out and see what was going on. Unfortunately that was not the case. I am guessing they really don't care too much about their customers

Multiple bare spots as in pictures. The lawn mowing crews blow leaves behind the shrubs leaving the soil to have fungus. Called them but recorded messages promising to call back but no calling back. Texted pictures

We’ve had several irrigation companies come out and do work on our property before. Though, Omar, from GreenGate was the first to actually take the time to explain how to properly set up the timers for when the sprinklers should turn on and for how long. He clearly knows what he’s doing and takes pride in his work.

Great service have been using for years for our weed control/maintenace. Johnnie was thoroughly and professional. Covered all areas. Very happy with their service.

I would have to say that GreenGate Turf is a great company! Their service is best in thr business. Shout out to Omar! He knew exactly what the issue was right away. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. Awesome job Omar!

Rocky is always polite and always checks in with me before starting any treatment to see if I have any questions. He ensures that all my questions are answered to my satisfaction. He alao leave the yard tidy and in great shape! I would recommend him and Gren Gate Turf,Pest,& Irrigatiin!

So far this company has been amazing. I love the way they keep you informed with everything they are doing as well as the recommendations for you. Their hospitality from the receptionist to the technicians are double amazing. I truly would recommend this company to anyone. Unfortunately, they don't provide all their lawn services in baytown becasue if they did, they would be my complete lawn care providers / experts.

Greengate has been great to work with for our yard maintenance and pest control. I had them out today to inspect my irrigation system and Omar was great. Highly recommend this company.

Abbie with Green Gate was SO helpful. She reached out within 20 minutes of me submitting my information and worked out a time for a tech to come next day. I’ve used green gate before and they completely fixed our ant problem with one visit! Would definitely recommend again. Jeff came out and was incredibly nice & helpful, answering all my questions as he completed indoor/outdoor treatment at our house.

A Word of Warning for Potential Customers of GreenGate
My recent experience GreenGate has shown that not all businesses operate with transparency—especially when it comes to cancellation fees.
At first glance, the service contract seemed clear: it stated a $99.00 cancellation fee if I chose to end the agreement early. This seemed reasonable and was a key factor in my decision to sign up. However, when I decided to cancel, I was stunned to receive a bill for over $325.00—more than three times the advertised fee.
The company explained that their calculation method is to take the total annual program cost, subtract any payments already made, and charge the remaining balance as a “cancellation fee.” This formula is in the contract; however, it's very confusing and misrepresents what the cancellation fee actually is.
When I raised my concerns about the discrepancy, the company’s customer service team offered a series of excuses rather than real solutions. My complaints were dismissed, and I was left feeling ignored and undervalued as a customer. Instead of addressing the issue, they tried to justify their misleading methods, which only deepened my frustration.
After several back-and-forth conversations, the company eventually admitted that their contract “could be clearer” about how cancellation fees are calculated. While this acknowledgment was a small relief, it did not change the fact that I was charged much more than what I agreed to. It’s troubling that a business would knowingly keep such important details vague, especially when it comes to customers’ hard-earned money.
My experience is a reminder that not all companies are upfront about their policies. Before signing, make sure you know exactly what you’re agreeing to. If they would have explained the "formula" to me, I would not have gone with this company.
Go with a company or person who doesn't have a contract - there is a reason they have them and my experience is exactly why.

FYI That very nice sounding gentleman that answers the phone? Paid actor - don't be fooled.
