I needed to remove the dead tops of some trees. BrightView was out to my house within hours of my call to provide an estimate and guidance. They listened to my concerns about trying to save the trees and outlined an affordable action plan that would provide the best possible scenario to take off the dead tops and preserve them. They gave a target date and arrived on time and completed the job as described. Complete cleanup and beautiful work! Thank you!

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! They are supposed to come to our apartment complex every week, but they come every two weeks. When they arrive, they never finish cutting the grass in one day. They always leave an area undone. The grass is extremely high because they do not come on time to cut the grass. It's the worst company EVER.

Bright view is evidently contracted to maintain Grove Point Subdivision...but who would know..
They show up supposedly every two weeks...but its usually every 3 weeks. When they do show up the grass doesn't look as though they have dropped the blade at all..Their is no one to contact...very poor service..

We had a great experience with the removal of several dead/very ill trees from our property. David (Arborist) came out for an estimate soon after I called, and the job was booked and completed within 2 weeks of our getting HOA approval. The removal team was very professional and careful - they even gave my neighbor a heads up to close her garage door to avoid excess dust. The worksite was left very neat/clean. I especially appreciated that David was willing to answer all of my questions, and also provided me with copies of BrightView's license/bonding/insurance information so that I knew everything was squared away before work began. Thank you!

I arrived in Richmond Virginia around mid January of this year and problems with the service of this company had not been an issue until the month of June. I am stationed at Fort Lee so, after a long day of training to fight for this country, I happen to come home to witness a lack of respect for my property. I understand that accidents happen but this is not the first not the second but now just recently the third time my property has been damaged. I was never notified of the damage, I had to find it out on my own, which to me is a sign of disrespect. I was not going to take it this far as to write a review and make it known to the public but this is the THIRD time damage has happened. I am not sure what has happened to this company but something needs to be addressed and fix immediately. No one, even a soldier, does not deserve the disrespect of personal property that the employees have provided for this company.

Fantastic affordable selection of trees. They will trim and prep it for you onsite. Super friendly staff and found our tree within 2 minutes. I think we paid 60 for a 6 footer. Really glad we went local

A small little gardening shop with pretty much a lot of the basics and has really good prices and the old man who runs it is sweet he would check in to make sure if I needed help in such a genuine way.

Nice selection, great prices, friendly staff. I looked at 5 other stores for holly bushes and finally found them here. So happy to have a new go-to garden center!

Fantastic staff! They had a great assortment of local Christmas trees right in Richmond. They did everything that makes picking out a live tree annoying, they chopped any annoying bits, put in on your car and tied it down. Definitely recommend.

Simply the best. Great selection, great prices, and the GREATEST staff. If they weren't around the corner from us, I would make the trip to see them. Took the time to help me pick out flowers to make container gardens, and I loved those so much, I went back to get more!

I love the garden center it is the hometown feel we need here . They answers questions and have been always knowledgeable. Offers quality beautiful pots .You can drop off your clean paper bags only for recycling. 💕💕💕

Local companies charge less and are who I'd recommend--NOT Virginia Green.

I spoke on the phone and paid $1486.75 on March 31, 2025. This was for lawn care services, to treat the yard during the season and to reseed the lawn in the fall. They sent me a bill at the end of the season for an additional $164, because they mis-measured the yard. I didn't agree to the $164, either verbally or in writing, but they will not remove the charge from my account. I can forward the emails to you if needed where we go back and forth. I don't understand why the concept of me not agreeing to the additional charges isn't comprehensible to them but they are quite focused on profit and understandably so given they are owned by a San Francisco-based private equity firm, Golden Gate Capital (ie THEY ARE NOT A LOCAL COMPANY).

Va Green - and especially Ryan - continue to provide excellent service and care. Thanks for the expertise and effective communications. Thanks for making my lawn look great.

Received an advance notice that Clayton would be arriving. Next day, he got the job done! The dog barked to let me know he was in the yard. He left the VGLC sign in the grass as a calling card. Easy.

Design is always professional, courteous and on time. He will ask any questions and he respects my property.

I am giving no stars as Virginia Green staff are negligent, irresponsible, disrespectful, and the worst Landscaping / Lawn Care company there is in Virginia. I have paid for 6 applications plus Mosquito / Bug Management and none of it works. They are careless in applications and don't care about a possible garden. If you have flowers, plants or vegetables count them DEAD if you use Virginia Green. This is the third time that they messed up in three different markets that they service and all of the markets are awful due to POOR management. They don't know how to deal with WEEDS!

I am giving no Stars for Virginia Green. Virginia Green has no process for training technicians properly. It's either that or technicians just don't care about work. Partially applied 6 applications for weeding and fertilizing and every time they miss large sections of my yard. This is the 3rd season at two different properties that they have done this. They over spray and kill your plants and garden due to lack of attention to detail. I lost all of my Squash and Cucumber plants due to their carelessness. I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM USING THIS OVERPRICED SERVICE FROM A BROKEN COMPANY.
