Really helpful and their prices are very fair.

Tom was personal, professional and thorough. He's perfect for Flam's.

I like this old school lock smith shop. I dealt with Stanley who really knew his stuff, was courteous and professional. Definitely I would return again.

I went there to have a key made and it took so long just to let me know he didn't have it in stock. It literally took a half hour and I was the only one in the shop.

They get busy and can be expensive but they really know what they're doing.

Stan, thank you very much for taking time to figure out what exact parts I needed to fix my lock.
    The repair kit worked perfectly.
    I appreciate your help

Super nice folks. Very protective of their client's information, especially their commercial accounts.

I’ve been struggling to figure out a problem with the garage remote for my apartment. I came in, and the gentleman expertly helped me out and got me the right remote. Anyone who has trouble with a garage remote should go here.

Stanley and Cory help me get my movie grip truck back into the safe mode. With lost keys to cargo boxes they were able to make keys to them.
Then made xtra ignition keys as well.
I walked in at 9am and out by 10am they never gave up the search for the oddball keys.
Friendly staff and knowledge beyond the norm.
Thanks guys I will always use Flams lock and key services.
    Sincerely Brian.

Tom came to re-key my condo front door and change my mailbox lock yesterday. He did an excellent job. However the key copier machine did not work for the mailbox key, so I have to go to their office to have this done.

This was my fourth time to use Flam's so I am especially disappointed in my experience.

I called for a price on a specific lock. Cory gave me a price of $228 which was low compared to another quote so I made an appointment to have it installed. Tom showed up on time, was very pleasant and when he was done, presented me with a bill for $435.06. I was stunned. He said the $228 was just the price of the lock, but there was $79.50 for the service call, $42.00 for labor, $14.00 for an additional part he needed to install the lock (?!?), etc. I was furious so I called Cory and he said, "I usually tell people the total price." End of conversation.

I expressed my concern to Tom and explained that I had a quote (total price) for a Multilock and he said they were terrible locks made by Israelis and he had seen one picked with a popsicle stick. Really? A deadbolt picked with a popsicle stick?

I suppose their work is good but I resent the way they now conduct business. Recommend anyone ask for the COMPLETE OUT-THE-DOOR PRICE.

FOLLOW UP TO CO-OWNER'S COMMENTS: I CALLED HER AND LEFT DETAILED MESSAGE TO LET HER KNOW THAT THE FIELD TECH DID IN FACT SAY WHAT HE DID ABOUT THE OTHER LOCK, THAT COREY DID SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT, AND THAT HER COMMENT THAT I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THERE WAS A SERVICE CALL FEE WAS INACCURATE BECAUSE MY PREVIOUS DEALINGS I HAD BEEN QUOTED THE TOTAL PRICE. SHE NEVER RESPONDED, SO HER POST WAS TO APPEAR LIKE SHE CARED WHEN SHE REALLY DOESN'T.

I have been coming here for awhile to get multiple sets of keys made as a result of working on multiple tv shows. The service has been great until today. I walked in and was waiting on a woman to finish getting assistance. This woman took a reasonable long time to get the answers she needed. So I waited patiently about a good 10 mins. Two other gentlemen came in after me and waited in que. As the woman was finished I was next to go but the man behind the counter (who I assume is the owner) made me wait to go last and serviced the other gentlemen that came after me. Considering how much I have come here to get good service this was horrible customer service. Wouldn't recommend it ever again.

Brought in a well-worn key and they re-coded it perfectly. Only problem, when I got home the key only fit in 2 out of 3 locks. Brought the keys back in and they explained that the lock was likely also worn (probably true) and went ahead and re-cut the keys to compensate for the worn lock; no charge!

Customer service is easy when all goes well, they are brilliant when there are little hiccups along the way. Thanks Flam's Key Service!

I had no problem with the quality of their products or the service I was given however the owner of the shop, Jack Flan, does not appear to care about the health or safety of his customers. When I called to speak with Mr. Flam, about my concern, employee, Cory, told me that Mr.Flam no longer comes into the shop because of the coronavirus. When I followed up two weeks later, Cory told me that he gave my message to Mr. Flam’s wife asking that he call me but Mr. Flam never called. I sent him a follow-up letter and he never responded to that either.

My complaint is that the elderly employee who assisted me pulled down his protective mask when he coughed a very phlegm- filled cough and was less than six feet away from me. This was absolutely disgusting and dangerous. I was the only customer in the shop at the time. I have concluded that Jack Flam does not extend the same concern for his customers’ safety that he does for his own.

I won’t return to this shop.

Excellent customer service and highly knowledgeable. I wish I could have called them earlier. I highly recommend them, my place for all of my lock and key needs.

We have been customers of Flam's for over 30 years. When we were experiencing difficulty with our front door dead bolt lock, we didn't think twice, but immediately called Flam's. As my husband is not a "do it yourself around the house" kind of guy, it never even occurred to him the problem would be as simple as spraying a lubricant into the lock. The technician was here 30 seconds (literally) and we were charged the $79. service call. I inquired if there was not some kind of good will where we would be charged less than the $79. Though he understood, he said that's what had to be charged. After all these years as a loyal customer, I will not be using Flam's again. I certainly understand having to charge something, but not giving any leeway at all seems unkind and harsh.

I came in at 11:55 on Tuesday and purchased 3 garage remotes. I tested all 3 remotes and all remotes worked. The service I received and the quality of their work deserves a rating greater than 5 stars. I also requested service to change the locks on my new condo and I am sure that service will be if the same quality.
I recommend anyone in their area to use Flams.

These guys have been around a long time, and I attribute this to the quality of work they do, and the experience they bring to the table.

We had a doorknob lock that was broken. The latch was damaged, as were the bolts holding the latch to the door. We tried fixing it ourselves. When that failed, we called in a handyman. That fix also didn’t last.

Then we called Flam’s. They fixed it right the first time! They arrived on time, were friendly, and definitely knew what they were doing! Everything feels nice and solid now!

They came in and fixed this without trying to sell us a whole new doorknob and lock.

We’ve had them come in previously to install deadbolts in our house when we first moved in, and they did a stellar job on that too.
