I own a business and have to make many key copies. After having gone to Lowes and Home Depot to get copies made, and inevitably having to go back to get them recut, I wised up and now exclusively go to Anderson for all my keys. They are a little more expensive but they just plain work. Plus I no longer have to wait for an associate to help me, i'm in and out in 5 minutes. Save yourself the time and trouble and get your keys duplicated right the first time.

I had an aircraft door key that I needed to get a copy of. Went to Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, none of them had a key that matched. The guy at Ace told me to try this place out. They also did not have a key that matched, but decided to improvise with something smaller. He made the key for me, told me to try it, and if it didn't work he would keep trying until we got it. Sure enough, he got it right on the first try. I won't go anywhere else from now on.

I spent two hours today driving around town trying to find someone to duplicate my gate key. Two places made it wrong, and a few others didn’t have the right template. I went to Anderson’s and Joe sorted me out in two minutes. I will definitely be back to upgrade my door locks.

I am a local Realtor who is always in need of keys for my listings. Every key I have ever had made there works perfectly. If I have to go somewhere else for a key it usually involves two trips because the keys do not work. Using Anderson Safe and Lock is a great time saver for me. They do the job right the first time. Plus everyone is always so nice. It is pleasure to do business with them.

Thanks to Joe, Larry, and all the guys at Anderson Safe & Lock for the prompt, professional, and friendly service. After calling several lock & key outfits you guys were the only shop able to meet our lock and key needs. We are always in need of keys for antique clocks and cabinets and you will be the first call we make. Thanks again. Rik & Jon

Anderson Safe & Lock is a great local company to work with. We've had on-site visits as well as going to their business location. Every time they were totally professional, reliable, responsive and reasonably priced. Just worked with Joe in the office the other day -- he is awesome! Thank you!

I read review after review for multiple companies, trying to find the best fit for our needs. I chose Anderson Safe & Lock because of these reviews. We set the appt last week for today. Yesterday, someone from the company called me and asked if we were meeting yesterday (Mon) or today (Tues). I stated Tuesday before 11am per my notes. They must have had my notes right by them as they read off our “before 11” time frame before I even said anything.

Well, I’ve been here waiting all morning today. No show, no call. I was patient and gave them extra time because stuff happens (2.25 hours now). I called at 1:15pm and asked when they are coming and was told by the same person as yesterday (distinguishing voice - third time I spoke to this person now) that he was told I cancelled. Um...no. I asked what gave indication that I cancelled and he didn’t have anything. I told him that he called me yesterday in the middle of work to ask me about which day and we both confirmed today. He even quickly confirmed my appt today without me giving a name and with me calling from my house line rather than my cell line.

So much for the professionalism everyone wrote about. Someone will supposedly be here in the next half hour which would be great! But I’ve missed an entire morning of work with no paid time off to be here “before 11”. This is not professional behavior. I’m going to have to fork out over $150 for the work today and they are over 2 hours late and were called in by me rather than calling me to tell me they were behind.

Hopefully the work is done properly and without damage to the locks as noted in other reviews. Otherwise, I will be puzzled how they earn such rave reviews.

Oh, and to add, they are not far away...they are practically in my neighborhood so that is no excuse.

Perhaps some awesome service would help me to raise this review score.

    Follow up: 2:30pm and still a no-call, no-show.

Knowledgeable (and fast) service! Anderson Safe and Lock was able to make duplicates of my harder-to-find older door key, as well as my newer keys. They are the only locksmith I found with key blanks in stock for my 1920's door key. They also have a big selection of skeleton keys for inside doors, as well as new keys. I had a newer key copy that never worked well after being done at another locksmith. Anderson quickly reground they key, and it works perfectly. Service was fast and my copies are all working great!

Got referred to Anderson Safe and Lock a year ago by an employee from another locksmith after I'd been to several places and no one had the key I needed. They have a huge inventory. These guys always provide amazing customer service and have great attitudes! I would recomend them to anyone. There guys define what local business is all about. Friendly and downright awesome staff.

This is my go-to locksmith. The customer service is always great and the prices are the best in the area. Whether it be getting keys copied, buying a safe, or just accessories you can't beat the prices and service here. Plus they guarantee all of their work. Love this place!

My 1936 original door handle and lock cylinder quit accepting my key and would not lock. Attempted to take it apart myself, big mistake. Took parts, pins, broken springs to Anderson after lunch. They agreed better to have let them do it. No big deal to them, they replaced needed parts put cylinder back together and repaired in under half hour! Great smiles and attitude. Go Anderson! Frank

After Home Depot, Lowes and Ace Hardware were not able to make working copy of my house key, my neighbor referred me to Anderson. Keys, locks.....they specialize in these things and they were able to give me a working key because they know their business . I am now a repeat customer and would recommend them to anyone. They are friendly and provide good service. Thank you.
UPDATE September 2017....Have gone back a few more times for other keys. I have had no other reason to use them other than for keys but they are very kind and helpful.

Very good and professional business! I've gotten my business lock done by a guy named Joe and was very impressed with the work done. Went back to them to get my house done along with family members and friends Locks. Recommend this shop to any one who needs to get locks redone at a fair and reasonable price!!

Very professional and knowledgeable! The showroom had a lot of inventory to look at so we could compare size and functionality. It's nice to be able to touch and feel, unlike most companies that guide you to a website and or a catalog to shop..The installers Ryan and Joey were courteous and hard working leaving us with a very nice end result. Would highly recommend this company for any lock smith or security needs.

I had an excellent experience with Anderson. My deadbolt was on the fritz and I called to have it fixed. The service person told me what was wrong with it and told me that since it was a Baldwin lock it was under warranty. He told me Baldwin would send me a new one. He then told me how to replace it myself...he said it was easy...and also said that if I wanted to pay to have them do it to call. When the replacement came from Baldwin it wasn't the whole deadbolt, just the part that had broken...so I was a little confused. But Joe at Anderson told me (over the phone) how to replace it. Again, if I had problems they'd come out. But his instructions were perfect and I did it myself! Woohoo. With no charge from Anderson. I will definitely use them in the future since I know that they know what they are talking about and they definitely don't price gouge or charge customers for something they don't need. Good neighbors, I say.

I've never experienced PERFECT customer service until I walked into this place. This is where you want to get your keys made. Extremely inexpensive prices and helpful, friendly staff. The keys they made fit and worked better than the original. Great locksmiths!!

Have been using their services for 20 years and always very satisfied. Always provide good advice and are quick and efficient. Most memorable service occurred when they happened to have a replacement in the backroom for a long discontinued deadbolt. It had simply worn out and current manufacturer replacements were sized differently and I would have had to rework the door for them.

I have been going here for all my lock and Key Copy needs for over 20 Years. They always are fast, professional, and have what I need. I own a large commercial landscaping company and get at least 40 to 50 copies made each year and have never had a problem. Today they gave me a free copy because they were not 100% sure if it was an exact match because it was a very odd key and said go test it out and pay us next time if it works. Awesome Company!!! Highly Recomend!!

They sold me a Dyna Vault safe and installed it on my floor in a closet. They told me it was built in the USA. I never got a manual, and when I had a problem, I could not get a tech for a week, and then he was "out sick" on the day of the service appointment. They only have ONE tech. Another safe company came within 24 hours and fixed the issue. The other company told me unequivocally the safe was made in China.

Pros first. Def friendly and courteous. I had to reschedule a few times which they accommodated without issue.

CON. and its a big one.
Cost. No quote given for a rekey for a lock in condominium building. they have contract to manage our locks. One key works for all access doors. that type of deal. I asked to come fix lock as it was sticking. That was fixed and also got 3 new keys. I did not get a new lock, or new hardware.

    075.00 call out fee.
    100.00 per hour labor rate.
    Minimum fee is 175.

With new parts and taxes, took it to 208 and change. This was for a 10 minute job. Installation guy was great, friendly, didn't have all the equipment and took a bit longer (no issue with that).

175.00 minimum fee. Ive paid less in Manhattan for an after hours new lock service.

Don't know if the issuer is the "contract" with the building and inbuilt fees or they just very, very expensive.

bottom line - get a quote before they show up!
