Great an honest company. We called them to cut down a tree on our property about a year ago that we thought was dead. They could’ve easily charged us for removal of the full tree and did the job but they decided to inform us that it only needed trimming and now it is looking beautiful and growing stronger than ever. Crew did a great job trimming our maple tree at our Pikesville home and cleaning up the site of all limbs and debris. The foreman recommended coming back in the Fall/Winter to cut back our 2nd maple tree vs. risking its health by cutting it back during the summer. Competitive price and professional evaluation. I will be having them come back this fall to finish the job. I highly recommend this company.

On Earth Day, we had 6 trees pruned, 2 stumps ground, and a stick pile chipped. Easy quoting, scheduling, and payment with Julie. Price was competitive. Josue and his crew were professional, jovial, and hard-working. The climbers were safe and highly skilled. Machine operators were experienced and did not damage the site more than necessary. I was a bit surprised when the trucks arrived, since there was no call/message to confirm that morning. Otherwise, highly recommend this crew, even for more delicate jobs.
Note: Don't be surprised if your neighbors have "me too" requests. PTS was able to accommodate 2 small jobs to help my neighbors without disrupting their progress.

Had a great experience in 2023 with Pikesville Tree Service. Greater challenge this time around but they were more than up to it. From the estimate, scheduling to the actual crew you will not find a better group of people. When they rolled in with this equipment at the exact scheduled time I knew it was going to be a good day. Can't say enough about the crew and the dedication to the tasks at hand. Really focused on high level customer satisfaction. High marks all the way around.

Very professional team of tree experts who showed up on time, cleaned up so neatly. They did the work on our trees with such expertise. We will never use anyone else but Pikesville Tree Service for future work in our yard.

First time I have used this company. I needed a large evergreen and small red maple removed. I was considering having an old cherry tree removed. Quick response to my online inquiry. Estimator was scheduled for the next day and arrived promptly. He concurred with removing the evergreen, a northern spruce. He thought the cherry looked healthy for its age - about 45 years - except for one branch which was dying and needed to come off. He thought the red maple could stay with some pruning but my wife and I wanted to replace it with a crape myrtle, which Pikesville Tree Service could provide and install. The estimate arrived a couple of hours later and the work was quickly scheduled for the following day. (I guess winter is a slow season for them.) The crew of 5 or 6 was well-equipped with several trucks, a chipper-shredder and a stump grinder. They wore proper safety equipment and seemed to be well-trained. They honored my request to keep the driveway clear and take care not to damage my lawn by hand-carrying branches from the back yard to the chipper-shredder at the street curb. The work was completed in about 2-1/2 hours, although they will need to return in mid-April (after risk of frost is past) to install the crape myrtle. Excellent after-work cleanup. I did not get competitive bids; my sense is the total cost was reasonable given the quality of the work but I doubt they are "the cheapest guy in town."
