NOTE: I called in the spring for the trimming on the same tree. (2-3 yrs. Later) The price had DOUBLED and over $600.!!!
No way could I afford that. Found another person to do the job at a much more reasonable rate. Sorry, Davey…..You’ve lost a. Customer.

The service is easy to schedule and pretty much dummy proof. They schedule you for regular intervals based on your plant life and season. There's no need to be home, but if you happen to talk with any of the techs, the scope of their expertise and knowledge is always an education. The pests and scourges they treat and prepare for also make it all worthwhile.The team as a whole are aware of any pestilences or attacks on the way across the country which is amazing. I highly recommend.

I made my appointment a MONTH in advance for a consult on a split tree. It was on my first day of a week's vacation from work. The company called me the morning of and when I called back, the woman in the office confirmed that someone would be out at my house for the originally scheduled appointment. A few minutes later I get a message from the guy who did the appointments CANCELING because he had "a lot going on at the office". He also said something about how he usually got out to my area on Wednesdays and had no idea how I got in on a Tuesday! Well, when you schedule a MONTH out, I'm sure anything is possible. Also, lied and said they called me the day before the appointment...if they did, they didn't leave me a voicemail. This was absolutely NOT what I expected from this company. Incredibly unprofessional. Use someone else!!!

Davey Tree Experts, Baltimore South came today, a cold and rainy Saturday and took down a large Red Maple that was rotting in one truck and leaning toward my garage and truck in the other truck. I asked Mark and Will to keep any limbs and branches on my side of the lawn as the tree was only 10 feet from my neighbors lawn. The base of the trunk was 3 feet across and it was very tall and wide. It was very wet and grey out but they did a great job, didn't damage anything, worked in a safe and professional manor and dropped branches exactly where they wanted them. In about 4 hours it was down and the brush was cleaned up. I was very impressed, I watched them most of the time because it was fascinating to see how they lowered the limbs down and I like tree work in general. They were a great team.

I've had Davey come out for two jobs--one residential, one commercial. the first was substantial, the second fairly minor. In both cases they were timely (to the minute), efficient, very well equipped, and done in less the time we were told to expect. They also came in on budget. 5 stars.

I contacted Davey Tree Co. and Matt came out to my property fairly promptly. He provided me with a quote, I responded with a contract. No word from them. After a few weeks, I emailed. Anna replied and said she or Matt would get back to me soon. Months later... still nothing. I guess I'll look elsewhere. But, a complete waste of time and months lost on this job.

Their communication is terrible. I had an initial consultation to discuss tree trimming, fertilization and insect remediation. I was told by Chris Rosier, their arborist, that they would use a laser pointer to let me know in advance the branches that they would cut. Not true. The crew started cutting branches and when I asked them to stop the work and ask about the laser pointer, they denied that their company uses them. They also did not tell me in advance that the cars needed to be moved in order for them to do their work. After receiving a written apology, I decided to give them another chance. I called Davey to ask them to fertilize my tree. I then received these emails saying that even though I scheduled the fertilization, that it would only be a consultation by Carla Goodman. Aaron Garver again apologized for their miscommunication by at this point, I cannot trust Davey. They do not do what they say they will do. I fired their company today.

We have tried other services (including an abysmal occurrence with another tree service) and Davey has been the only one with actually expert understanding of our particular old trees. Their horticultural experts drive their services, without damage to trees that we have experienced without such an expert focus. It makes so much difference to know that they actually know what they are doing and WHY. They have done deep fertilization, root protection, and parasite treatments to help save a tree damaged by another (see above) tree service. We have been extremely impressed. They also, alone, had the expertise to install correctly, and without harming, onto our old white oak a lighting rod to the very top of our tree, for its protection.

I have had Davey Tree taking care of my trees and lawn aeration/fertilizing for the past several years. All of the employees I've encountered have been very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Their pricing is in line with other professional tree service companies. They are not just tree trimmers. They have tree surgeons. And they've been in continuous business since 1880. They are a great company.

A company that will waste your time. They came over did the inspection after that they emailed me, I didn’t know I had to respond to the email to give them the green light to come do the job. Me and brendon brown discussed that while he was doing the inspection. He did the inspection on a Tuesday I told him they can schedule me for next Monday. They never came, didnt reach out to me nothing. So a few weeks went by I looked at the email responded to it, didn’t get no response back. I guess $100 is not enough for them to respond back, but I bet you if the job was a 1-3 thousand dollar job I bet you they would respond back. Terrible company look else where. After having had several tree service companies over the past decades, it is a tremendous relief to have found and tried Davey Tree Experts, as I'll never have to look any further for another tree company. From my initial communication with the office (Carla), to the sales advisor Brendon (ALWAYS wonderful and prompt communication), to my fantastic work crew of Will, Brad, and Robert (courteous, respectful, and efficient), everything went seamlessly and perfectly. I would love to share details about my experience with this business. I simply wanted an estimate for two trees that needed trimming in my backyard. I was told that they service my area and they scheduled a time to come. Took off from work, no one showed. Called the next day to ask what happened. Was told that there were storms in the area and they apologized for not showing. Also told me that I didn't need to be home for them to do an estimate. They said they were booked all that week so some time next week would be better and someone would call me about the estimate. Waited a week...nothing. Called again. Was told by the person who answered that she wasn't one of the regulars in the office but she could take my name and contact info and someone would get back to me. Foolishly I waited another week and no one called and no one showed up. Needless to say, after almost a month of lies I went with another company who came out the same day and left the estimate info in my mailbox AND called me to fill in the details. They are scheduled to start work soon. All of the great reviews are what led me to choose Davey but just like my ex boyfriend named Davey, both made promises they never kept and looked great on paper but couldn't deliver in real life.

My overgrown urban red maple and pear were beautiful and provided lots of shade but were way too big and branches were leaning on the house. Davey worked it out so we could save the trees, remediate the risk to the house, and have a better canopy. The price was very reasonable for professionals who clearly know what they are doing. Pro job and courteous crew.

Everyone I dealt with was super nice and the service was fairly priced and done well. The problem was the execution. It took months to get from first outreach to proposal and treatment and required a great deal of follow up. Compounding the aggravation was the solicitations I was receiving from Davey in this month's long struggle. Maybe dial back your marketing until you can digest the work that you have on your books. I would use them again but grudgingly.

The Dave Tree Expert company sent an arborist free of charge to look at the trees in our property. Chris, the arborist, patiently explained all the important facts about the types of trees we have and their health. He recommended pruning and trimming and advised to install a cable on a tree I was worried could split break. The team of workers came about a month later, upon making an appointment with me, and got the job done in ~3h. They were extremely clean and careful with the trimming, caused no damage to the fence or other structures around the trees, and left the property better looking and cleaner than it was before they arrived. We are very happy with their service.

We had a great experience with Davey tree. The arborist was extremely well informed, gave us options and the quote(s) were emailed quickly. The crew(s) showed up on time both days and were professional in every way. I told my husband, " We found our tree guys!" I would highly recommend Davey Tree.

Quick response to our request for a quote. Scheduled tree trimming withing two weeks. We received quotes from three companies, and Davey was almost 50 percent less expensive than closest bid. They did the job exactly as asked and did a very good job cleaning up. Would certainly recommend.

I would give my experience 10 stars if I could. I called them and right away Dan, Scott came out gave me an estimate to remove my tree and the next morning it was gone. I can't thank them enough. Very professional. Very friendly

The workers arrived timely and were very polite and helpful when we had questions . They appeared to do all the work requested. We have a lot of trees, so it may take us some time to check on everything.
