We have used Pikesville Tree Service for tree trimming, stump grinding and planting. Julie, Rami, and staff have extensive knowledge of plants and trees. Tell them what you want and they will recommend appropriate plants and design. And besides that they are wonderful people and a delight to work with. Highly recommend

Just last week I had Pikesville Tree Service cut down two trees in the back of my property that were entangled in BGE electric wires. They handled all of the work with BGE to coordinate their involvement, which was seamless to me. Work was completed in a two-day period and the property was left spotless. Julie coordinated the entire job from quoting to clean-up. She communiated often during snow and BGE delays, so I was always informed of the job. I'm very satisfied and will continue to use Pikesville on my future tree cutting needs. Call them! You won't be disappointed!

I recently had an incredible experience with Pikesville Tree Service, and I can’t recommend them highly enough! I’m a Floridian who faced a crisis when a massive Live Oak (downed by Hurricane Milton) threatened to fall into my house. Even though they were quite a distance from their home in Maryland, they came to my rescue!

We've used this service a few times but never will again. First, on both recent occasions, they lost our deposit check. Second, on both occasions the work led to damage to our property. Unfortunately, it was a big mistake to use this company and we would not do it again.

They did a thorough job, and had the knowledge to back their recommendations. They are also doing lawn, tree, and shrub restoration. This is a first-rate outfit that I have used in two locations.

This company repeatedly comes into my backyard despite multiple requests that I be notified first. I have large aggressive dogs yet they seem to be too lazy to ring the doorbell first. Makes me wonder if there’s a reason they don’t want me to know they’re on my property; it defies logic.

Davey here in Baltimore was great to work with - Kevin was great to communicate with, the schedule was always communicated clearly, and work was well-coordinated. The work itself was also excellent.

Davey Tree Service sent an arborist (not sales person) who made an accurate assessment of problem in a very large, old yew, recommended a yearly treatment that saved the yew. Very happy with this company and their employees-exceptional customer service.

They came and worked on a neighbor's house. To access the property they had to drive through the alley behind our house. In doing so, their truck snapped a lot of branches on the nearby trees. They did nothing to clean it up leaving a mess behind them.

Very organized team worked together to remove huge tree and add’l pruning. Thank you!

About 2yrs ago I had Davey tree remove a tree, tree stumps, and tree roots. I was informed that I would need to let my yard sit for a while because of the amout of tree roots I had would take time to decompose. I had to have the company come out to grind the yard out an additional two times because of missed spots in my yard. Two years later (spring 2020) I decided to till my yard and grow grass. My grass grew well and I later saw my grass begin to bald in spots. I waited til late summer/early fall to try to begin the grass process again. While tilling the yard, I noticed that the spots that were balding in my yard was a result of there being tree roots in my yard. I have spent alot of time removing each root/small stumps one by one (about 12-14 in total). I do not recommend Davey tree for root grinding.

I would have liked to work with this company; they did work on my neighbor's house on my block. I had an appointment on August 12, 2019 for an estimate/quote. On September 3, 2019 I asked for the estimate/quote by email, no response. On September 10, 2019 I asked for the estimate/quote by email; received an email apology that day; that same day I asked when the estimate/quote would be available. It is now over 2 months later with no response, no estimate/quote.

We had a great experience with Davey tree. The arborist was extremely well informed, gave us options and the quote(s) were emailed quickly. I would highly recommend Davey Tree.

Davey has done work on many of my trees over they years. In addition to the items above, they have treated my trees for anthracnose and fertilized them. They also seeded my lawn and fertilized it last fall, but there are still bare spots instead of a lawn beautifully covered with grass.

Quick lunch break to set the record straight...reviewing the other feedback, the only other 1 star reviews were unsubstantiated claims about lack of responsiveness and inability to schedule efficiently. My experience is counter to those. Davey came out for a quote, at the scheduled time, was early, efficient, and direct about a really knotty issue. The quote follow-up came in immediately after, and was thorough. I'm in a place in the city where it's tough to get anyone out to look at anything, so hence 5 stars.

Matt showed up on time, surveyed the property and submitted a proposal in a very timely manner. His crew performed the work as detailed in the contract. The follow thru of Davey Tree surpassed that of the other local licensed contractors who provided estimates.

Called and got a free estimate from Matt, he came on time and responded with a quote quickly. Then a week later I emailed him to amend the quote, he came out again to recheck the tree and said he would get back to me. A week later and a call to the office which the woman who answered the phone said she would email him and put me through to his voicemail , I left him a voice message and I emailed him, no response or written quote. I did this for 2 more weeks, now it’s been a month, no phone call, no email and no quote, oh and I am an existing client who has already paid money on the same tree.
