They are very nice ppl there ! They came out when I ran out of heating oil the same day and got our house all warmed up again!! I recommend to anyone to use Warthen Co ! And most important they were here in 20 mins an I was able to pay the next day great customer service an Chad was of great customer service thanks to all of you very much .

Called at 8:30 am with no hot water. Danny was professional and courteous even on a Monday morning. He called me back shortly thereafter and said Darren was on his way. Darren has been here before and is always pleasant and diligent about getting to work. 1/2 hr. later we had hot water again.

I want to thank Warthen and particularly John for his professional service provided today. When I called for help Trina scheduled us for the next business day. John arrived on time and was able to diagnose and solve a difficult problem with my A/C. I am completely satisfied with this experience and will call on Warthen again.

Warthen Fuel has been providing fuel for my company for the last three years. At the end of January I was informed by the bank that the company account had been erroneously closed. I had paid Warthen using a check from that account and the day after the electronic pmt was returned I paid Warthen the full amt of the original pmt along with information from my bank showing the problem was the result of a banking error. Warthen wants me to pay $580 over the $35 check fee. I have a commercial building and my bill is four figures everytime they fill my tank and I have never been in arrears. This is poor customer service and I will take my business elsewhere.

My family and I have been using Warthen for many years. I purchase all of my Heating Oil from them. My Boiler shut down last night and they were here first thing in the morning to repair it. Great Business and Great Service Professionals!. Thanks Brandon S.

Warthen installed new gas furnace in 1998 and updated central air in 2014 at my house in Catonsville. This is a family run company with personnel who are very pleasant and willing to answer questions. I usually have many! Always have had outstanding service, very professional techs, explained what was needed,etc. Now I have moved to a condo and needed new heat pump which they installed yesterday. Called them for that since they provided outstanding service in the past. Glen came and gave me estimate and price was reasonable. Didn't realize they were on Angie's List which I belong to ,but that's ok. I wouldn't deal with anyone else. I purchased a Home Warranty Policy when I moved here but wanted such a big ticket item done by people I trust.

Very happy with this business! We were with Carroll Fuel for several years until a technician left a rag inside of our furnace during routine cleaning and caught it on fire. Damage exceeded 20k yet their insurance would not take responsibility and company contact was a real axx. Warthen assumed the contract and has been a pleasure to work with. Reliable thorough, knowledgeable and responsive. Highly recommend!!!

Although we’ve been very happy with their work in the past, this past Dec. we called about a specific job. John arrived, confirmed the issue and said he didn’t have the proper materials with him. He charged $175 for that visit, but we were told by the owner, Danny Warthen, that would be put toward the job cost. The company then gave us the runaround for three months saying they couldn’t find time to schedule this 2-hour job. While we understand they were behind because of a Covid outbreak in Dec and that customers who needed emergency heating repairs would take precedence, there’s no reason to constantly lie by promising call backs that never came. We finally hired another company and are out the $175 for basically nothing. Clearly our job/home was not a priority to Warthen.

Warthen installed ductless AC units in our house. This company is the absolute best! We are so happy with the service and the product. I chose those based on their reviews so I wanted to make sure I wrote one as well.

Sadly have to leave a very negative review for this company. I have been a loyal customer for years. I’m a tenant and a bill was generated for repairs on the boiler. They sent ME a the bill. When I tried to explain that they needed to send it to my landlord, CHAD told me to call my landlord and work it out. When I tried over and over to explain that all he had to do was mail a bill to my landlord and she would pay it, but she needed to be billed directly, he got very nasty and rude and hung up on me. I used to deal with someone who was very nice an helpful and work with you to solve a problem. I’m so sorry to this happen to such a good local company. They’re ok but don’t have a billing issue.

If you're in Baltimore and having HVAC issues, Warthen will be the only call you need to make! We were having issues with our AC freezing, and the team was so incredibly helpful and THOROUGH - like, ridiculously thorough - to the point that they wouldn't leave until they could pinpoint EXACTLY the root cause.

The team is professional, responsive, always on time, and a great value!

Highly recommend. My AC was not cooling. They were here within 3 hours after I called. The very experienced Darren replaced a part for under $150 and fixed. Honest, knowledgeable and reliable. Daren and another tech had replaced my HVAC units 13 years prior. Do not hesitate in calling Warthen for your HVAC needs.

Unreliable and unprofessional. Had a quote scheduled for sometime today, was told they’d call before they arrive. By 3:45 PM I hadn’t heard anything, so I called to ask if they were coming. The person I spoke to says that they called me at 7:45 AM but I didn’t answer, so they’d have to reschedule me. This is patently untrue - I was awake and my phone never rang, and my call log shows no records of any missed calls from that time. Person on the phone was very defensive, unhelpful, and insisted that they called, even when I explained the above. I rescheduled work to be home for this quote, but they ultimately never came. I won’t be working with them again.

From the time i called them she was so professional and reassuring, to the guys that came out and diagnosed it and fixed it. The speed of service in this heat, is by far the fasted I have ever experienced. The prices were so fair, and they did a great job and communicated to me on the process. Highly Recommend!!!
