Long-term customer, called in for an oil delivery 7 days ago, still waiting... I told them on the first call that my tank was almost empty, and have since had to refill it with diesel 4 times because they keep delaying the delivery. I wish they'd at least call me and tell me about delays, but all we get is a repeated, vague promise that it's coming ASAP.
Never had this issue in the past, they're usually here the next morning. Now that I have an emergency and really need them, they're not responding. -
Very pleasant experience dealing with Jeanie. She was more than helpful in getting me oil during the January 2026 snowstorm when my tank ran dry. You just got a new customer!

Nasty, rude service over the phone. The heating technician called at 10:52pm last night because he had so many calls, he was polite, no problems with him. He explained to call the office today. I called. The lady over the phone is telling me about this contract, that contract. Not that there is not heat in the house and I can get a technician out to you to check your heat....it's whoever has the contract that these people deal with and no contract, apparently getting your heat check, that customer will be second class. Then she says we only has an AC unit on your account, we don't have a heating....it matters for their documentation....I understand that.....but I am explaining that the heating system doesn't work, the technician can't come out to check it out then add the system later?!...It appears that the fact that the heating system is not on file....appears to be a barrier to setting up an appointment. I called 5:43pm the day before. The technician, no problem with him, had multiple calls, it was late at night, I called back in the morning, knowing this was a problem yesterday, the lady tells me about the next day because I have no contract with them. I guess being cold another night in the house is ok with this company because there is no contract. Not contract =no heat with this company

In the last 18 months - if I could give them a zero, I would. Their billing system is completely screwed up. Plus, I have never been told you need to pay based on the delivery ticket. Can't even begin to go into all the other ridiculousness. I've been with them over 40 years and have never had a problem/complaint with them prior to this.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mr. Michael OJ today, tech for Griffith Energy Services. My heating went out on one of the coldest days and Mr. Michael was able to get it back up and running. He went above and beyond and was determined to get it going. Mr. Michael is a true asset to your organization. Many thanks to Mr. Michael.

We have a keep-fill service. We reported an empty tank on Monday at 9 am and it was not filled until 2:30 pm on Wednesday, in spite of many assurances over the phone that it would be. The roads are reasonable, the storm more than a week ago. They failed a basic function, delivering oil.

This is a review based on customer service to non-customers. While I admire their dedication to servicing residents that have not cleared their driveways of ice and snow, this requires their technicians to block residential roads and prevent other residents from accessing their homes while they service their customers. They then try to force lightweight cars into the icey driveways of other residents so they can get by at the chance of them getting stuck instead of them with their heavy trucks where it wouldn’t be a problem. I called the company and they took the truck’s information and apologized for the problem. Hopefully, they incorporate better procedures that best service the safety of their employees and the community, all while meeting the energy needs of their customers.

God sure does work in mysterious good ways.....sadly, As a new customer with senior pets...I've never had a worse experience than with this heating company in that a tech didn't hook up my propane gas oven first off, gave me a scratch and sniff to try and I got volutally sick from it. as a disabled senior, skeptism set in because the tech couldn't even make sure the oven was functioning because he was too LAZY to pull it out and check, leaving me more concerned over "safety" practices. The propane tank was then removed at my request as I convert to electric and they got defensive thinking I would go to a competor.....also same tech told me to dump diesel fuel in my oil tank should I run out???? Who does that? If. I could give ZERO stars I would.. AND the local fire department is aware..#saafetyfirstinmaryland

Have used them for years - no complaints!!! Jeanie is always on top of things getting us service or oil and even answering any questions we have!! Needed oil during this storm and Griffith was out here so fast - with all the ice and snowy roads, I thought it would be days - but a day and half later - tank was filled!!! Thank you Jeanie and Griffith Oil!!

Our heating oil ran out because Griffith refused to come fill it in a timely fashion. Now, in the middle of the night, I have been calling Griffith for three hours with absolutely no response while my children and I freeze in temperatures in the 20s. The person who answers the phone claims he is sending out our information but after four phone calls, nobody has even bothered to call to tell me that they are on their way. It is clear that they have no intention of sending anyone, even though our contract says that they will provide an emergency fillup if the heating oil runs out. They are callous and do not care at all for their customers. Extremely disappointing experience. I can only hope that nobody will get sick, though I doubt that would bother them at all.
Edit: don't be fooled by the response below. We called this number so many times so they could "gather our information", and they kept telling us, and eventually yelling at us, that we were on schedule for delivery that day. You'll never believe this: no delivery arrived. They did send an "emergency" 10 gallon canister but it ran out after a few hours. We are still waiting after 36 hours. They simply lie to you without a second thought. -
The Owner is a good guy and easy to schedule with.

Never showed up for job after Eric schedule appointment and didn't return calls back
-
Great company reliable and friendly workers, great and speedy service. Can call anytime and they will come out. Would recommend to all my friends and family.
-
Reasonable price from other companies I had called. Came on time. The unit I had gotten looks very professionally put together. I highly recommend them.
-
Called Metro Mechanical services to hook up an ecobee thermostat and Eric was absolutely helpful. Arrived within the original time range. Highly recommended!
-
Never showed up for job after Eric scheduled an appointment. Left several messages. Finally called the warranty company after waiting for 10-15 min, she contacted them and was told he is sick...
-
Late to his first appointment. I paid up front for for what was supposed to be a minor solution where Eric would come back out later in the week. The next appointment he forgot. The one after that "He got a flat tire and would call me the next day." He never did, I had to call him. After that he plain didn't show for the next appointment and won't answer his phone. Now I'm sitting in the dead of winter with a broken HVAC system with the thermostat hanging off the wall and rigged wiring on my HVAC unit. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH METRO. YOU WILL GET BURNED.

My friend recommended Metro for my boiler replacement so i called Eric and received a quote that was $1500 less than the lowest quote I received from 3 other contractors. We went forward with the installation. The installation wa completed in 1 day. Eric and his guys left our house clean. He explained all the features of our new boiler and registered it with the manufacturer. We couldnt have been more pleased and would use their services again.

I called to set an appointment bc our AC wasn't cooling our home very well ... in the middle of summer, of course. The owner, Eric, showed up ahead of time and performed a very simple cleaning of the outdoor unit and had it running at 100% within 20 minutes of arrival. He could have told / sold me anything and we would've paid it out of sheer desperation. However, he was honest, efficient, and professional. We will be using them again and referring them to anyone that needs a reliable HVAC company.

Very Unprofessional, Disrespectful, Aroggant and Rude . I start off by saying I used Eric company on several renovation jobs 6-7 yrs ago with no issues. I also referred him to family and other realtors for jobs they had. Then for the last several years he just stop answering calls or responding to any text. He finally answered the phone yesterday for an emergency job i had where a client with a 2 month old baby had no heat. We waited all day for Eric to keep postpoing what time he was going to the property . After he calls from the property and goes into a rant about the what all needs to be done with the furnace but he not interested in the job because it smell like sewage in there and he been to the property before and it smell like sewage and surpurise anyone lives in the property and can't pay him no amount of money to do the job. Then he just hangs the phone up without allowing me to say anything. To clarify I never had him go to this property before as must getting confused as haven't dealt with him in years. Next the tenant, general contractor and another HVAC person all confirmed that nothing smells like sewage. Luckily we able to get the new HVAC person to install the furnace so the occupant and her 2 month old son can have heat. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AS PROBABLY WON'T ANSWER THE PHONE HALF THE TIME ANYWAY. HE IS NOT RELIABLE OR RECOMMENDED. TRUST A LICENSED BROKER THAT HAVE DEALT WITH ALOT HVAC CONTRACTORS.
To follow up to his lies on the reply . I have many properties. He not answering phone for any of the other properties either . The tenant , general contractor and the HVAC guy who installed , along with myself all went in the property before and after Eric all confirm that he was lying and over exaggerating the situation cause he just didn’t want to do the job . The only smell was mild smell of mildew. If anything was that bad provide pictures as proof not made up invoices where I haven’t done business with you in 6 years . Ask any of the other contractors have I not taken care of what is recommended. Just google and read other people reviews about his communication and services now make your own wise decision -
Honest, decent, competent technicians with a heart are as rare as hen's teeth, these days. I have had multiple positive experiences with Eric at Metro Mechanical (and no, we aren't related, or in anything but a business relationship), and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. He's a godsend!
