Boyland has been servicing our generator since they installed it. They are always prompt and show up when they say they will. Never had any issue with them and would highly recommend if buying a home generator.

We found Boyland after the company that we had used stopped being a Kohler dealer. I had a warranty issue and found out the company had never registered our generator. When I talked to Boyland, they researched my generator, registered the appliance and provided the warranty repair. Needless to say, we were sold on their service.
Last year when the technician came to do our regular maintenance, he found that ants had gotten into the electrical part of the generator and completely destroyed the boards . Rather than pay for a huge repair, we opted to replace the generator. Boyland gave us a great price, did superb installation work, and was easy to work with. We would never use anyone else to take care of our generator.

Boyland Electric installed our Generac whole house gas generator this past Fall. They were prompt, professional and courteous. In addition, we found Boyland to be very reasonable on cost. Overall, we have been pleased with the services provided by Boyland Electric and our new generator.

I chose Boyland Electric for a 26 kVA home generator purchase and installation. I chose them based on the large number of highly positive reviews. I was not disappointed. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable and professional. The quotation was clear, covered all my specific requests and was competitively priced. Katy handled all the scheduling from the initial quotation, the primary installation visit, the scheduling of the third party propane tank and fuel line installation, the final installation and testing, and all the electrical inspection visits and kept me informed throughout the entire process. The main installation electrician was Mike Coakley. He was very personable, highly experienced and demonstrated great care and attention to detail. My specific generator and main panel locations resulted in a wiring path that the electrical inspector was not happy with. Mike worked closely with the inspector to make changes that satisfied the inspector and the home owner. I was completely happy with the entire process and highly recommend Boyland Electric for any electrical service need. As luck would have it, my neighborhood and most of my little town lost power for 1.5 hours only two weeks after my generator installation was completed. The system worked perfectly.

I have used Boyland Electric fort 5 years. I use their service to keep my system in top working condition. I pay a yearly fee and they come out twice a year and replace what is needed and verify the system is working. I have had to use the system a number of times and it always works! Thanks to Boyland I feel I do not have to worry about my generator.

We have used Boyland Electric to service our generator for the last several years after purchasing our house. We continue to be very pleased with the service and response times. We recently noticed our generator wasn't working right before a big snow storm and were grateful that they were able to fit us into their schedule to fix the issue before the storm hit. Kudos to Boyland Electric for 15 years of outstanding service!  Doug Boyland personally participated in the installation of our original generator, which was activated on February 2, 2011. Katy facilitated the installation of the replacement unit last week.  Boyland Electric diagnosed the state of the original generator, provided options for repair (including replacement), and installed the replacement unit in 9 business days.  We're once again fully protected from a utility outage and know that Boyland will continue to provide the professional level of support that ensures we'll never be "left in the dark".  Highly recommend!

Boyland Electric just finished installing a generator at my house and they were great. From the beginning to the end of the project, they were professional, courteous and timely. The staff was always easy to contact and they were very responsive to my questions and concerns (In particular Katy). They really made the entire process easy from explaining the project to permitting , installation and inspection. I would highly recommend them for your electrical/generator needs.

Boyland installed our whole-house Kohler generator about seven years ago, and it has been reliable ever since. We’ve continued to use them for ongoing service and maintain a yearly maintenance agreement. Any time we’ve had a question or needed support, they’ve been readily available—whether by phone or by sending out a technician—and their response time has always been excellent.

I had been searching for a home power backup solution since 2021, but I wasn’t successful until I found Boyland Electric. Before that, I spoke with at least five different contractors, yet none of them could meet my requirements.
I have six 200-amp electrical panels, but my peak actual usage is under 40 kW. For cost, propane tank size, and efficiency reasons, I wanted a maximum 60 kW backup generator. However, other contractors told me that under a 60 kW limit, they could only power my basement, or that I would need to install a 100 kW generator.
In 2022, I contacted Doug Boyland, the owner of Boyland Electric. He has extensive experience in both commercial and residential projects. After several rounds of careful discussion and planning, he designed a 60 kW backup generator system that powers five of my six electrical panels (excluding only the garage panel). This setup covers almost all of my home’s backup power needs perfectly.
Since installation, the system has worked extremely well. On one occasion, a cooling system belt failed during a power outage. A Boyland Electric technician responded quickly and replaced it within four hours.

We had an amazing experience as the Boyland Electric Inc Team were installing the Generator and now that the job is done, they still continue being the Best as they make two house visits a year to conduct a Maintenance Inspections to unsure that everything is working and doing exactly what it supposed it do. Boyland is fantastic, no other way to say it. They did a Generator install for us, a Kohler, and being authorized Kohler dealers they offer factory authorized maintenance. That was important to me to maintain the Kohler warranty. I have to say we were extremely impressed by their installation technicians, they were efficient and super professional. They had the logistics perfect. Just when they needed the Gas piping done, their plumber showed up. Just when they needed the Transfer switch installed, the transfer switch guy showed up. This installation is also one of the neatest I've seen, the cables and pipes were installed clean and orderly. No haphazard layout, they did an amazing job. We use them for the twice a year check up and service, their techs are always great, communication is really good, they never leave us guessing. I wrote "car charger" and though the basic cabling was already in they completely re-wired the connections, placing the car charger on a shut off box, so that in case of a power outage the car charger circuit was disabled. They did this for a few other things too, as the transfer switch has three timer circuits. A bit confusing for me at first but they explained it in a straightforward way and did the logic and wiring as needed. Really good people. I have to give them an A++ !

The company owner visited to give me the ballpark cost to perform a "heavy-up" to double my electrical service from 200amps to 400amps and replace my aging generator with one that can handle the new loads. He discussed the various brands of generators they sell, giving me the pros and cons of each. I chose to go with a Kohler 32-48KW model. They coordinated completely with Potomac Edison and obtained the permits, installing a 2nd main 200amp circuit panel in my basement. Each panel has its own transfer switch. They also poured a concrete pad for the new generator. All the work was done professionally and the crew left all work areas clean when they completed the job. I highly recommend Boyland Electric Inc to anyone considering installing or replacing a whole house standby generator.

Boyland did an amazing job installing our new Kohler Generator! As you can see from the picture, it's very professionally installed from the wiring and piping to the amazing platform they installed to keep it out of the dirt and lawnmower activity. I've had several generators installed over the years and this is BY FAR the most professional and clean installation I've seen. The installers also did a great job of explaining things to me through my many questions. I would DEFINITELY recommend them to anyone wanting a generator installed!

Electrical Connections did a wide variety of installations and repairs on my house and they were terrific. Prompt, successful and reasonably priced. JC was a fantastic electrician who was patient with my questions and explained what he was doing in the most lucid manner.

Peter came in for a quote a few weeks ago prior to making a decision on purchasing a house. He gave a detailed explanation on his findings. Safety was his #1 concern. After the options and estimates given we decided to move forward with the purchase of the house and hiring the company he works with to replace our electrical outlets and panel. Job was done in about 3 days. 20 year warranty on the panel and 5 years on the rest. We switched old school wires to new ones. We also had all the detectors replaced. Today on our walk through he informed us that we will be getting an inspection from city as well . 10/10. Peter and his assistant are hard working professionals. You can tell Peter has a passion for what he does. He answered all questions or concerns we had.

He also has a passion for food so he gave us some awesome restaurants that we will check out. His boss should definitely take him and his assistant out for Pho. 🍜 for a job well done. I also like the fact that if any issue arrises, I can reach out to the company very easily.

Josh identified the problem with our breakers in the panel that caused a few of them to trip (age, rust) and replaced them and did some extra work to bring our panel up to code. He was great and we are happy that we have our oven/microwave back working again.

We had Josh and electrical connections come out again to install an EV charger in our garage that has smart features to take advantage of overnight low rates. He was finished in a few hours with minimal drywall cutting and it's plugged in now to our EV. Great work!
