Can I give Boyland Electric 10 stars for the installation of a backup generator in May? The team arrived at 8 AM and, like Santa, set about their tasks - pad preparation & install, gas line connections, replacement of outdated electrical panel. Generator install was complete at 2PM. Ms Utility didn't come until 1PM, but I had photos of Ms Utility markings from earlier. Office staff (Katy) was always available throughout the process. And generator already used in June.

After our home lost power for the third time in about a year, I decided it was time to get a generator. Our neighborhood listserv had 5-6 generator companies, but only Boyland Electric and one other had impeccable reviews (and Boyland was already servicing my next door neighbor who was very happy with them).

Doug Boyland came to our house quickly and provided an easy-to-understand three page proposal. I got a second quote from a competitor which was for the exact same generator and related components. The competitor's proposal was ~30 pages (a lot of marketing material) and was $3-4K more.

Based on the reviews and the price, I went with Boyland. Their team - coordinated in the office by Katy and in the field by Ed - did a fantastic job. Everything was seamless. We're very happy with our generator and the overall quality of their work - HIGHLY recommend!

So glad to have my generator that was installed and currently serviced by Boyland Electric. Definitely needed it this year! Multiple times the power went out for 3+ hrs this year. No worries when you have a trusted working generator. On the last service visit the tech noticed battery wasn't holding the proper charge. That was an out of pocket expense but the tech had one on his truck so no follow up needed and I was glad he caught it before the next power outage the following week. The battery was almost 7 years old so held up longer than expected.

Came within an hour of calling when a tree fell on a power line near our house and our generator refused to start. This was after unsuccessfully contacting our normal maintenance company's
"emergency line" numerous times without a call back. We will definitely be switching to Boyland.

Generac Generator Installation was great. Boyland was easy to work with, fulfilled all its obligations, and a year after having the generator installed, we have not had any problems.

We frequently experience brownouts and power failures system due to excessive demand on the grid, during severe thunderstorms, snow storm, and other events. After considering several companies, I contracted with Boyland Electric Inc. to purchase and install a Kohler 20KW standby generator and automatic switch.

A very thorough site visit was conducted to assess my electrical needs. Boyland presented me with options that were best suited for providing backup electrical power to my home. Equipment and installation cost we presented upfront. There was no hidden fees or hard sales tactics which I greatly appreciated. The pre-install process (i.e., acquiring permits, coordinating with Washington Gas, etc.) was handled promptly ensuring a smooth install. The. installation team was very professional and respectful of my property.

With the install of the Kohler standby generator, I now have piece of mind that my home will have electrical power during power outages and emergencies
