Constraction reviews in Silver Spring, Maryland

Great attention to detail. We wanted painting done in our bedroom with stripes and the team did a really good job. They also did a great job painting our bathroom.

Miguel and team were thorough, punctual and responsive. I have already used them for multiple projects around my house and they have been great!

The laminate flooring they installed is good, what they built for me custom isn’t great and I have to fix it. It also took them 2x as long. I won’t use them again, but probably good for other jobs. They are very kind and caring carpenters who did come back to make it right.

We hired Abanto Painting & Carpentry for a couple of projects such as painting, patching up dry wall and other handyman work. Always had a great experience. They are friendly, reliable and efficient. I can highly recommend.

I've used Abanto Painting for several projects over the years, primarily bathroom and kitchen remodels. The work is absolutely high quality and I can trust that it's been done right. Couldn't recommend them enough! Looking forward to working with Abanto Painting to finish our basement 😀

Miguel is great to work with. He and his crew renovated my very outdated studio apartment in DC. They did beautiful work. I will definitely hire them for other projects in the future.

I have used Miguel and his team several times as I work to update an old row home. Miguel is always professional and timely, and his work is of the highest quality. I will continue to work with him on future projects.

We were fortunate to run into Miguel, owner of Abanto painting, at Sherwin Williams paint store in Georgetown!

Abanto did a fantastic job painting our entire house. It was easy-peasy working with him, we chose the paint color, and he did all the rest, buying the paint, etc. Because he does such high volume, he was able to purchase paint at discount at Sherwin-Williams. Painting is just not rolling paint on the wall, but also attention to trimmings, baseboards, and doors, in addition to prepping the walls very nicely and painting straight edges (line between trim and walls). Devil is in the details. He was very reliable and well-priced. The workmanship was very well done. He did the job done in a week, which was what we needed, and house is three levels.

We can’t recommend him enough!

Miguel Abanto did a great job on the exterior of my house and the deck. He was very conscientious and hard working. I really appreciated that he used high quality materials to ensure the durability of his workmanship. Miguel and his crew were always on time and informed me in a timely manner about any changes in the schedule due to the inclement weather.

We initially hired Miguel and his team because they gave us the best quote for installing a backsplash. And boy are we glad we did! They didn’t just do great work, they also took the time to explain everything along the way and to ensure we were using quality materials. We were so pleased with the backsplash that we hired them back to repaint the house. And again, we were impressed by the quality of the work and even more by the professionalism. We failed to notice a couple of paint issues during the final walkthrough and asked Miguel weeks later if we could pay him to come address them. Even though we had already paid him in full, Miguel made a special trip to touch them up at no additional charge. We’re pretty particular folks when it comes to our house and, honestly, we couldn’t be happier with the folks at Abanto. We'd give them an enthusiastic six stars if we could and they'll be the first call we make for future home projects.

I have used Abanto Painting and Carpentry for more than 5 years and each time I have called on this company for help, they have helped me with painting, installing a new toilet, installing a new light fixture. Last week I had water damage from the bathroom and they came and fixed it and plastered and painted and it looks terrific. They are very professional, reliable, dependable and their prices are reasonable. They can do all kinds of work inside and outside of the home. I highly recommend them.

I met Miguel while he was working at a neighbor's home. I mentioned the tile work I needed replaced. He was so accommodating by looking at the work that day and getting back to me within a few days with a good, competitive bid. The work was beautifully completed two days after work commencement. I highly recommend Miguel and his teams.

Miguel has worked on several projects at my house, including deck repair, painting, and general handyman work. He is courteous, punctual, honest, and always does a high quality job. His prices are also very fair, and I appreciate how meticulous and detailed-oriented he is when completing a job. I highly recommend Miguel and his company, and without a doubt I will reach out to him again for future home projects.

Miguel and team did an excellent job. I asked them to do a number of different painting jobs around the house. They arrived when they said they would, they were flexible when I wanted to switch around a couple of minor things, and they cleaned up entirely before they left. This is the second time I have worked with Abanto (first time was on drywall repairs in the ceiling) and will definitely work them them again.

Miguel is a pro in all senses of the word. We hired him to move a bathroom light from above the mirror on the wall to the ceiling. When he arrived to do the job the first thing he did was to cover everything in the bathroom with plastic to make for an efficient clean up. Miguel's electrical work and drywall repair is perfect!! No signs that the bathroom light was ever on the wall! Great job and we're already discuss multiple projects for the next few weeks. He's honest, provides an incredible skill-set with pricing that is fair for both sides.

Working with Abanto has been great! Craftsmanship is excellent (worked on fixing hardwood floors, renovating an entire bathroom - including walls, vanity, sink, lights, etc), installing overhead lights, and power outlets. and they are very reliable with their work and responding to needs. I would continue to use Abanto for future projects and have recommended them to others as well.

I have worked with Miguel on several occasions. He helped me with a very complicated plumbing issue as well as several simpler tasks like light/fan replacements, faucet repairs and even some locksmithing. Miguel is very good at what he does and will do what he says he will do. He asks a fair price and sticks to it. He is professional, courteous and quick. I would unreservedly recommend Miguel for plumbing, painting, handyman work and carpentry and will be working with him again in the future, without a doubt.

Miguel Abanto is extremely professional, honest and a very skilled painter and handyman. As we watched his team paint the entire house next door, we hired him to re-caulk our 3 bathrooms, which was a very detailed job. He has an expert eye for color. He came quickly and handled the work himself. We were so pleased that we asked him back to do some minor electrical work, which he did well. I highly recommend his company.

Miguel is a patient and dedicated to detail work as per specification. He cleans up after his work is done. His work is excellent. He is skillful, professional and he finishes his work on time. His work was fixing the leaking pipe in my kitchen. After he fixed the pipe, he fixed the wall and painted it with the matching color to the old paint. It looks perfect as if there was no big hole of the leaking/outburst pipe.

Thank you very much Miguel! 👍🙏

Miguel is the best contractor we have ever used. We hired Miguel and his team to build a fence, including setting large posts in concrete between two property lines.
They did a great job and we love the fence. But most importantly, they were perfectionists when it came to the work quality and they went above and beyond the original scope of work. His prices were very reasonable and they showed up on time, everyday to get the job.
Great experience with Miguel and highly recommend hiring him for any job!

I had a great experience recently working with Abanto Painting and Carpentry , Painting my apartment in Washington DC
Miguel and his team are very professional, helpful, flexible and did a great job while taking care of protecting the furniture and floor.
Renovation work is stressful but Miguel with his assurance, confidence and his hard working team made it easy to achieve in short period with reasonable cost and great quality. I recommend them all the way.
