Constraction reviews in Silver Spring, Maryland

As new homeowners, we've had to deal with a lot of contractors, but Abanto Painting and Carpentry has so far been the best. They are professional, friendly, flexible, and offer great pricing. We had Miguel and his associate work on the exterior trimming/design of our house and their work was amazing; we were very impressed with the quality of the work and the attention to detail - we have already received a number of compliments on how great our home exterior looks. We loved that they showed us the progress along the way, continuously discussed our preferences, and that they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with their work and their service. We highly recommend them and will definitely continue using them for future projects.

Miguel and his staff did an amazing job with my apartment renovation in DC! I couldn’t recommend his business more highly to anyone looking for a contractor. His attention to detail, general expertise regarding all aspects of home renovation, and follow-through are exceptional and he was able to do every part of the job that we needed - painting all the walls, doors, and closets throughout the apartment, replacing 3 sets of closet doors, replacing some of our lights and blinds, and upgrading our windowsill to be more structurally sound and spacious. Although we initially hired Miguel mainly to paint, he saw where there were structural weak points where the plaster had deteriorated and replaced them as well. While this made the renovation take longer than initially anticipated, Miguel went out of his way to still get things done quickly, including working on a Saturday. Miguel and his team were understanding and patient throughout the process and helped us through every step even through unforeseen circumstances. When our windows weren’t a standard size, he went out of his way to get blinds custom cut to our specifications. When he saw the opportunity to set up an extra light, he brought his electrician to re-wire out setup and make it happen. We had a great experience and will definitely be calling again for any home renovation needs! And saving the number to refer others in the DMV!

We are not ones to frequently post reviews, but given the work that Miguel and his team did with our primary bathroom renovation, a shout out is well deserved. Miguel took over our project after the demolition had been completed. He estimated the cost and time it would take, and he was on target with both. During that time, he did not miss a day or fail to clean up at day's end. The workmanship was excellent, he provided good advice, and he was very patient with all of our questions and the requisite owner changes. We have several small to large projects on the horizon and will not hesitate to call Miguel when we are ready to start. Highly recommend.

Miguel and his team are the best contractors I’ve ever worked with. He has done drywall, concrete, painting, plumbing, and electrical jobs for me and all of them have been fast and flawless. He has an incredible eye for color and has helped me match existing paint colors and choose new ones. He is extremely knowledgable, patient, accommodating, thorough, punctual, and kind. He is professional yet warm and always has my best interest at heart. He is honest and completes projects quickly. He takes an immense amount of pride in his work and consistently exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend Miguel and his team.

Miguel and his team have completed a number of projects for our LeDroit Park row home. The most recent project was a full bathroom (down to studs) and half bath renovation. As typical for Miguel, the work was stunning and exactly what we wanted.

Miguel and his team earn top marks for cleanliness of the jobsite, quality, timeliness, respectfulness of client needs, pricing, and honesty. Miguel is up front with expectations for each project and he is always true to his word. His team is also flexible to client requests, and have adjusted a few projects after I have asked for last minute changes.

Simply put, I am so happy I found Miguel and his team. They are my go-to for all projects and Miguel is the first person I consult when I have a new project.

One final note -- during covid Miguel and his team were very respectful and maintain proper masking and social distancing at all times. This is just another example of their wonderful professionalism. They were also conscious that we have dogs in our house and made sure to accommodate our special needs due to a very nervous pup!

I will be hiring them again for my next project!

Mr. Abanto is top notch! A few months ago he helped us mount an impossibly heavy mirror on a precarious wall and did it with a level of service that I've never seen in a contractor, confirming exactly where I wanted it. I felt as if he truly wanted me to be happy with the finished product.

I can think of a few more things around the house that need fixing -- going to reach out to him now!

We called Albano Painting and Carpentry as we needed urgent help fixing and redoing our plaster ceilings. There was a lot of patch work that had accumulated throughout the years and Miguel and his crew scraped and replastered, then painted the ceiling and it looks great! He and his crew were professional, detailed and they exceeded our expectations. They even fixed some small things that needed attention without us asking. Thank you so much!

I hired Miguel and his team at the recommendation of a friend for some interior painting and I am so glad I did. The team worked fast, at a very reasonable price, and the results were beautiful! Miguel’s very knowledgeable and his expertise was very helpful in picking out paint types. I will definitely hire Abanto Painting for future projects.

Excellent craftsmanship and performed the tasks that had been promised.

Great company. Very helpful and responsive!

Excellent customer service - sufficient walkthrough, client focused, not trying to make a quick buck. He’ll be ready to work whenever you are! Responsive as well!

George is an amazing friend and hard worker! I know his team is as well! A brilliant team with a vision for success! They are diligent and hardworking!

Jorge does excellent work! He is professional, provides fair quotes, complete his work on time and within budget. He is detail oriented and goes above and beyond with every project he has done in our home. We have hired him to do flooring, bathroom remodels, plumbing work, door installation & painting. We would never use anyone else. Attached are some before, during & after photos !

Yosef can build, repair, replace just about anything! Very friendly and professional.

The services provided were absolutely above, and beyond what I expected if you’re in a bind, give them a call, you won’t regret it!

This evening my fuse box tripped and I couldn't figure it out. Yosef tried to talk me through it and I still couldn't turn my power back on. He came right over and helped me. No one I know would offer this kind of service without notice . Thank you so much .

Services Squad is a great handyman service In Silver Spring. I often joke to my family that if I have an emergency, I would call them first and then 911. This just speaks to their responsiveness and the trust I have in them. I first met them in 2018. I had locked myself out of my house and needed help and they answered my call for a locksmith. It was a godsend because since then, they have replaced closet doors, fixed leaky faucets, replace garbage disposals, change locks, unclog toilets, and just taken care of all the small things that I cannot do for myself. They are entirely true to their motto: No job is too small or too big for them. The thing I like most though is knowing I can trust them to be reasonable and honest with me. Services Squad is my go-to anytime I need a handyman. Let them be yours too!

I highly recommend this company for any job you need. I work with this company for years now and the latest job they did was wall-to-wall bookshelves. Their exceptional craftsmanship transformed my space, and their responsiveness and reliability throughout the process made the experience stress-free. Notably affordable without compromising quality, they've earned my trust for future projects. Highly recommend Services Squad 240 464 1912. You will be very pleased.

We have used Yosef for many projects over the years, both large and small. He is exceedingly honest in every project. Additionally, he is easy to reach in an emergency and goes above and beyond. He also did some unique projects for us like installing a hidden door bookcase as well as fabricating a magnetic panel to access the plumbing for a our bath tub. His skills allow for excellent kitchen and bath remodeling as well any project in the house. We highly recommend him without any reservation and feel free to contact us with any questions.

Tyler and his team are amazing. I noticed that my basement carpet was damp. He was out the same day for an estimate and the job was completed the following day. Great communication and top quality work for a very fair price. Transact with confidence and highly recommend Tyler and Founders.

Tyler and Alex responded the call right away. My sump pump was replaced at the time I was available. Alex came to the repare and left the area clean. He helped me with an adicional issue related to the sump pump.
