Summary: inaccurate in novice estimate and very rude owner, screaming at me the day of the move.

I had a very disappointing experience with FECH and Ade. Initially, Ade was pleasant and understanding, which convinced me to choose their service for my move. However, a week before the move, he refused to put anything in writing—no texts or emails—and insisted on handling everything over the phone. I found this unusual and expressed my concern, at which point Ade became defensive.

I had clearly communicated that the reservation for the loading dock and elevator was at 2 PM, and I even reiterated this the day before the move. Despite this, he arrived with the truck at 11 AM and then yelled at me for not having a parking spot ready. When I asked him to stop yelling, he responded, “No, I can’t stop screaming; I’m annoyed.”

While the two movers were kind and hardworking, the overall experience with FECH and Ade was terrible. The estimate provided was for 12 hours of work with four men, but Ade only brought two men, making it impossible to complete the move in the estimated time. I couldn’t afford to pay for more than the agreed amount, so after 12 hours, the movers had to leave, and I was left with approximately eight more hours of work to do on my own.

Ade convinced me to choose FECH based on their lower price, but it came at a high cost. I strongly recommend choosing a different company that is more professional and transparent with their estimates.

These guys were efficient, fast, and punctual. They work with all kind of financial needs. Totally awesome. Most definitely will be using again

I had an awesome experience with FECH Moving Services. They were excellent on all aspects of packing, moving and storage. Care was taken for my items during the storage and move process. I really appreciated the care they took in how they move and the protective items they use to guard your wall corners, flooring and steps. I had my furniture, art work, oversized mirrors and kitchenware stored for 7 months and everything was as if had never left the home. No issues whatsoever. I highly recommend FECH Moving for all your needs.

Overall a good experience. They were diligent with communication before and after. During the move itself, they worked consistently. I would have liked a bit more attention to not hitting the wall, dumping cushions and things like that as somethings did get damaged, but overall they worked efficiently and smoothly. Would be willing to work with them again.

Wow are these folks great! The guys were efficient, asked questions to make sure I knew where my belongings were going, and just overall the communication from scheduling to completion was awesome. I would highly recommend this company. Super fare rates and friendly service.

You definitely have us confused with another customer. We agreed on the rate for both eviction processes, there was no discount offered, and there was definitely not a refusal to pay - we have the bank/credit card statements to that affect.

We take issue with the fact that for an eviction, FECH agreed to provide a 20 person crew, a truck, boxes, tape, and any other materials required for the process. Because these things were NOT provided, we had to send one of the "movers" provided to Home Depot AND tell him what he was supposed to be doing, which delayed the process SIGNIFICANTLY and resulted in an unsuccessful eviction. The crew FECH provided had zero idea what they were meant to be doing which I consider to be extremely unprofessional.

Please get your facts straight and consider yourself lucky that a 1-star Google review is the only consequence to come of this.

If I could give a zero star review, I would. We used FECH for an eviction first in February, then again in April.

During the first move, the movers were there on time, though there didnt seem to be anyone in charge or a go to person to communicate with. We did not end up needing the moving services as the tenant was able to pay his way out of the eviction. The issue came when it was time for billing - we were charged twice for the move and while this can be chalked up to a simple billing error, the charge was significant and the bank account took a hit while we waited for a refund. And while we did receive the refund, we did have to message them several times with a little bit of run around before the refund was processed.

Based on the move experience from February, we booked again for April (same tenant, same address). Upon arrival, the movers again seemed to be without any direction - it seems as if FECH pulls people off the street to fill the 20 crew requirement for an eviction. Additionally, the cost of the eviction includes all necessary moving materials - boxes, tape, a truck, etc. The movers did not have ANY of the materials with them and we had to direct them to go to Home Depot to get the supplies needed. Additionally, an eviction is limited to an hour, which is based on the requirements set forth by the Sheriffs office. Because the movers had not been given any instructions from FECH, and because they came completely unprepared with materials, the eviction process took upwards of 3 hours. In that time, the tenant was able to pay the amount of the eviction judgement and again, the eviction was unsuccessful.

We were offered no apology for this and we were required to pay roughly $6k for the whole process, despite the many, many hangups and the fact that the reason why the eviction was unsuccessful was because of the unbelievable disorganization and slow pace of the moving team. As a result, we were left with problematic tenants who were being evicted for several months of unpaid rent.

I would avoid this company at ALL costs.

FECH responded to my text right away, estimated the cost to move a large refrigerator, and scheduled the move next day. The cost was the best of 3 quotes. They handled the move very well and the cost was exactly as estimated by phone. Nice driver too. He called well ahead of arrival. FECH exceeded expectations and contacted us afterwards to make sure the move went well.

When I called FECH moving for an estimate, it was nice that a person answered the phone rather than an automated machine. Ade was able to give me a quote over the phone immediately. FECH sounded perfect for my move. He was able to schedule me at the time and day I requested. Eugene and Terrell were very efficient, personable, and worked quickly. They took great care of my furniture during the move. I was amazed that they were able to fit everything into my storage unit! and I plan on using them again once I find a home. I hired FECH Moving, from Arlington, Va to Burke, Va. They did a great job on the move, and most importantly, the owner, Ade, was transparent in his pricing and the time that it took for the move to occur. We had an EVICTION that had to be done within days of lining up sheriff, movers, etc. I was panicked about getting everything done and timing was critical. ADE from FECH was the easiest part of the whole process. I needed 16 guys lined up within a few days. Within less than half a day, he called back and said we're ready to go - proper construction bags, gloves and the most important 16 reliable movers.
Although our tenants moved out hours before the eviction and eventually I had to call off the entire event; I am confident that things would have gone smoothly because of FECH movers with the help of Ade.

I recently relocated from Houston, TX to Silver Spring, MD and hired this company to help unload my Penske truck. The movers were polite and friendly, which I appreciated. However, they arrived without any moving equipment, which was surprising. Unfortunately, I later discovered a tear in my custom feather-filled couch, which occurred as they dragged it across the floor while moving it into my building. I actually saw this happening and rushed over to help because it wasn’t acceptable. Given the damage to such a valuable piece, I’m unlikely to use this company again. That said, they do have potential with better preparation and care.

Very good communication... gave a fair price. His crew was prompt and ready to work. I hired them for an eviction and I needed 20 people. He had them there prompt and on the spot. They were efficient. Had the squatter not had dogs inside... they would have been finished in an hour flat. Paid the extra hour. it was worth every dime to get my house back.
