Appliance Repair reviews in Waldorf, Maryland

The onsite support by Lucky to repair two refrigerators was excellent and highly recommended. The office support, specifically the accounting/billing department was horrible and needs improvement. I had to call 6 or 7 times to get billed and a receipt that was required by a home inspection for the sale of our rental property. Unacceptable. I would have given 5 stars if not for billing department problems.

Don't bother scheduling. Used this company thru home warranty. They give you a time frame and don't show up during that time frame nor do they call to let you know they are running late. Long story short they had been to my home to fix my range before and after 30 days it broke again. Had to pay another fee to have them come back out wait another week for the part and schedule installation appointment. Installation was to be between 12 and 2 and of course had another appointment at 3. They have to reschedule and move appointment to another week. Listen find someone else to fix who will be ontime and professional. 3 weeks without a range.

I really wanted to rate this company a one. But I can’t justify a 1 rating. I still want to be fair. He gave me time to expect him between 2p and 3pm. He got there close to 5pm. He charged me full price for something that wasn’t a repair. He wasn’t there not even 30mins. I didn’t question it. He place a sticky tape at the bottom of my fridge. I know for the future I will not use them. I believe he knew by charging in full was wrong. I thought a discount would have been appropriate based upon the late arrival . I want to make it clear I did want anything for free. I thought he would have charged me for a half hour of labor.

Hands down an excellent company!! My dryer wouldn’t start and I am new to the area. I searched online and on Facebook and saw this company was recommended. They definitely did not disappoint; they contacted me first thing on a Monday morning after I had submitted an online request on a Sunday. I was given an appointment immediately and they came out and serviced my dryer. I ended up having to call back because my fuse blew again and they came out as soon as they could and now my dryer is running with ease. Thank you AA Dependable!! You all will always get my service and I will forever recommend you.

After searching for a local repair person in Southern Maryland, the best option I could find was AA Dependable. I called, they answered, they scheduled an appointment for the following day in a reasonable 3 hour window. They advised the technician would call or text when he was on his way (which he did!). Once he arrived he was professional, courteous and respectful of our home. He ran through troubleshooting steps all the while educating me about things I could try before calling next time. He identified the problem (bad icemaker and low water pressure). He had the repair parts on the truck. He repaired the ice maker and tested to make sure it was working. We saved a $2500 fridge with a $300 repair. Definitely well worth it and quite reasonable. I would definitely recommend and use again. Thanks Fred!

Awful customer service. Wouldn't honor a quote given and failed to mention that service must be scheduled within 30days of service call. Tried to escalate to Supervisor to honor quote and Receptionist hung up the call and subsequent calls went to vm. Went to business office to request Supervisor and Receptionist refused to contact Supervisor. I went to next door business neighbor to see if they knew of a way to get a hold of AA Dependable business owner and learned that they were going out of business a month ago! Here I was trying to have the honor a quote, lol, thankfully escaped this nightmare!

Technician (Fred) was/is very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. He is an asset to AA Dependable
My 1-star review is based off of office practice(s) and a lack in their communication.
AA charges approximately $100 to diagnose an issue (you pay that no matter what).
Know that you will most likely not receive a repair on the day of diagnosis (little to no parts are kept on trucks)
After a phone call to set up the repair (should you decide to go with their estimate of parts and labor cost), your labor portion is under an AA warranty for 30 days; 90 days for parts)
I called in after our refrigerator hinge was repaired/replaced (it was making a squeal noise) and specified that “since it is under warranty, I’d like to have it checked out”
The receptionist replied, “yes, we were just out there….I’ll get you scheduled”
On day of the appointment, Fred called to give me the range of his arrival time.
At that point, the noise had stopped (maybe the lubricant had settled in?)
I mentioned this to him and asked, “should I still have you look at it since it’s under warranty or just cancel the appointment?”
He thought it best to give it thorough look just to be safe.
Upon completion of the job, his office insisted he collect the $100 labor fee since the prior repair occurred 33 days prior.
I called later to explain to AA that had I known (or better yet, had the receptionist relayed that we were out of warranty UPFRONT) we would have:
1. Probably still made the appointment and paid the $100 (who wants a squeaky fridge door?!) but we would have known the cost going in
-OR-
2.cancelled the appointment when the tech called with the arrival time window
since the noise had stopped.
The receptionist merely apologized and reiterated their warranty policy and that “30 days is 30 days, not 33” and that I should keep better track of my repair dates with the carbon copy they provide after repairs.
It should be noted- my wife and I have used AA for over 10 years and have spent thousands of dollars with their firm. Until now, their services have been fair. $100 will not make me poor or AA wealthy, but the underhandedness is still apparent.
Unfortunately, this experience will have us seeking services elsewhere. -
I had some experience with this company when I had home warranty. If memory is correct I think they replaced the control panel of our wall oven. It was fairly decent turn around time given the circumstance. I understand the techs experience as I used to be a service tech in my previous jobs. The big difference is in my previous industry I only service one brand and 5-6 models. The appliance techs work on several brands and multiple models so it is almost guaranteed they dont have the parts they need on hand. They really do their best because the only way the customer is satisfied is when they have fixed the issue.

Had an appointment scheduled two weeks out the day of the appointment used sears tracking process it said the tech arrived but I never saw him. Now I have to reschedule and I already have been waiting two weeks for this appointment. There is no way to contact the technician it’s all AI based. Terrible way to run a business. A day of work down the drain waiting on sears.

What a waste of time & money. I scheduled an appointment for 10/23/2024. I received a confirmation with a technician's name and an arrival time of 8-11am. I received another text a few hours later, arrival time by 2:30pm. Received another text arrival time by 5pm. By 7pm, I received a text that my appt was rescheduled for 10/29/2024. On 10/29/2024, I received a text arrive time between 8-12pm. Received another text around 1 pm. that my appointment was rescheduled again. I called customer service, and she transferred me to another rep in the scheduling department. I wanted to know why are they waisting my time and money and why keep sending text messages if you know the tech is not showing up. He stated that no tech was available and apologized and promised the tech would be at my home on 10/30/2024. Once again, no one showed up, but this time, instead of assigning a tech, I received a text message stating the tech would contact me when he was on his way. Guess he got lost on his way because he never showed up for the 3rd time. Called customer service again, and that alone can be frustrating because several of their numbers give you an automated voice recording. You need to click on change or update the warranty to speak with anyone about anything. On this day, I spoke with a young lady who stated the truck had broken down, and this is why the tech never showed. She then put me on hold because I wanted to speak with that department and a supervisor. She stated she has left him/her a message to contact me. She stated, "Give him/her at least 24 to 48 hours." So, you want me to wait even longer. This is past ridiculous, unprofessional, and poor customer service. I am in the process of moving forward with a formal complaint, not to mention I pay monthly for a service contract that's not being honored.

Jason did great work. He explained the issue and how it was being resolved. He was also very quick with the repair.

When Mr. Elio G came to my house to service our AC I was at work. However, my husband was there when he performed the services. My husband stated he was very thorough and knowledgeable in what he was doing. When I spoke with Mr. Elio G on the phone he was also courteous and polite. He was appreciative and complimented my husband for cleaning out the debris in the AC for him. I would recommend Mr. Elio G any time. Great services performed.

This is the worse experience. I haven't had a microwave for a month. I had problems with this microwave since 2017 and they keep replacing the same. I tried to reach out to the general manager and was told it's driven by AI.. After several calls seems like I wasn't getting any where. I need the general manager number!

This technician claims he came to my door and knocked but no one was home. That is a complete untruth! I checked my security camera - no one came to my home. Plus, I have three dogs that sit at the front door looking out the glass storm door who would've barked like crazy at a stranger coming to the door. So now I am still waiting to get my A/C unit fixed.

The experience was mediocre.
The technician gets a high rating for timeliness and efficiency for identifying and resolving the issue. He receives mediocre rating for patience. I am not an expert in his line of work therefore I had a question or two before I agreed to the repair. Specifically with the lifespan and current age of a component and the logic for replacing versus cleaning. He was impatient and borderline rude in his response and even said something to the effect of ‘instead of talking I could be fixing’.
I’d rather not have him return for any servicing. -
The service provider did not show up until 5 pm. This is the fourth time that a provider has either not come or come very late. This is also the 6-7 visit and the problem is still not fixed.

The technician who assisted me (Cedric) was probably the most knowledgeable and professional appliance tech I have ever dealt with. He identified the issue quickly, applied the solution, and solved the issue. He was punctual, communicated with me all the time when he was on his way and did not make me wait. What else can you ask for?
-
The tech was early and he did a great job. He made sure everything was running smoothly before he left.

I am so excited of my experience for my clothes dryer repair. The technician Jason, was extremely knowledgeable of his work. He was pleasant, on time and kept me informed of what was needed and took the time to show us a better way to use our machine. I highly recommend this company and technician.

The HVAC technician was pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable of the problem. He also addressed two other concerns I had, and he took care of one and sent the other request to his supervisors to get authorization to perform the job.
