Huge thanks to Mohamed, the amazing technician who came out to fix my air conditioner this weekend. I came home to a sweltering house, and he showed up fast, figured out the issue right away, and had everything running smoothly in no time.

On a weekend, no less! Mohamed was professional, friendly, and clearly an expert at what he does. It’s rare to find someone so dependable and efficient—especially on short notice. Thanks to him, my home is cool again and I didn’t have to sweat it out all weekend. Highly recommend!

Mohamed was incredibly communicative about availability and timing, and even found last-minute time for me when I was in an AC pinch in the middle of a DC heat wave. He was kind, professional, and thorough. A previous technician from another company had told me I would need to replace my entire HVAC unit, so I called AC Repair DC for a second opinion. His thorough inspection revealed that the only problem was a small piece of plastic stuck in the motor! He removed the plastic and the AC was back up and running, good as new! I was so relieved that he was honest and didn’t try to sell me a new motor or unit.

Mohammad was very easy to work with - he was communicative about when he could come and arrived on time (in fact, a few minutes early). I have only lived in my house for a year and he quickly diagnosed the AC problem (a faulty connection to the power source) and fixed it. He only charged for a service visit fee since it was a simple fix. He did not push for us to replace our unit, even thought it was old, and said that when it does fail, we should reach back out then. He was honest and did not make any false promises about how long the unit would last. Will call them again!

Called late at night for a leaking AC, was able to speak to someone for an appointment, and they arrived the next morning as promised. I was very thankful for the prompt response because this was during a 100 degree heat wave. I appreciated the text to let me know when they were on the way with a 30 min heads up. They diagnosed and quickly fixed my issue with the AC while giving advice for how to prevent the same issue in the future. Really great service! Highly recommend.

Called this place for an emergency repair of my a/c unit. They took my information and told me I’d get a text confirmation. I never received a text, and when I called the next morning to confirm if someone was coming out, they said they’d call me back.

No one ever called. I went with another company who was able to get me in same day and fixed my issue.

Mohamed came out and was able to diagnose the problem almost instantly and repair my AC unit fan and compressor. He was very professional and he remebered that he serviced my unit a few years ago. I am glad that he was able to fit me in his busy schedule.

Incredible service within one day of calling.

We have a very old system that a previous owner had complicated with multiple thermostats, but AC Repair was able to diagnose it and install a new thermostat. There is also an issue with a separate system that he did not want to charge for, until I tried to fix it on my own, which he told me how to do. We highly recommend and will be calling again!!

Above and beyond. Over two years, we’ve had four or five technicians examine our problem — all of them threw their hands up, offered cumbersome/clunky workarounds, and basically said it would be so difficult to fix they wouldn’t even recommend trying (it involved a wall mounted AC unit with difficult drainage and pump problem). AC Repair fixed the problem in one day. Stayed until 10pm to ensure the job was done right (compare with so many technicians who started the work, didn’t finish, and then we had problems scheduling them to come back and get the job done. AC Repair — one and done.) Kind of a miracle worker. They did this under a tight time constraint too.

Mr. Mohammed was very professional and extremely helpful with giving me the correct guidance of maintaining my HVAC system, what to look for, and how to avoid any issues in the future. I had an issue with noise and air flow in my home, he was very timely, clear communication, and very friendly. He was able to fix and address my concerns quickly.
