If I could give no stars I would. I was charged for a quote/estimate without being forwarded. That it would cost anything for a quote. The quote changed from one price to another price within seconds without reason; I was told that no permit is needed for sump pump installation but this is absolutely false as I just had an installation in DC; then no explanation could be given on the difference in a sump pump over a condensate pump. I would not recommend using this company, not even for a quote.

A pipe was leaking water down into my basement floor and was close to the electrical box. After calling several plumbers this was the first to be responsive. He came, found the leak, and repaired it pretty fast. If your looking for a quick, quality repair and reasonable pricing I would recommend this company.

#1DMV Plumbing was very efficient when it came to addressing the problem that I had in my house with my leaking faucet. Dmv plumbing was very punctual know how to address the problem and when they left I knew that I will call them again if I had any issues. I I would definitely recommend them to anybody in the DMV area is having any plumbing issues.

Do not use this company! We have a rental and our tenets called them to snake the toilet, but they didn’t bring a snake. They went out of town so we took over coordinating the issue from there. We scheduled for an appointment, the plumber did not show on time we continued to call and couldn’t get a hold of anyone. Finally, around 6pm we got in touch and they said they would not be able to make it that night so we scheduled them for the next day. He showed up 2 hours late and did not have the part he needed so he then went to HD to get it, then went another HD to get it then called and said he had to go to one an hour away. At this point we called someone else. There is no reason not to bring the right tool, they knew the issue and they still arrived late unprepared to do the job.

I am extremely pleased with #1 DMV Plumbling’s level of professionalism and their keen attention to detail in the service they provide. They were with me every step of the way during my complete bathroom renovation, from my design idea to the finish product, all within my budget. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area in need of plumbing or general contracting services. They were punctual, courteous, and thorough. Only on time to pick up deposit; DJ'S ego larger than knowledge or skills; used wrench to pop circuit breaker, too lazy to walk downstairs to turn breaker off; could have caused house fire. No respect, tried to inflate prices after contract was signed; cost more money for materials DJ damaged, put window frame together with lock on backwards, then exited without admitting mistake. Creep comes onto female clients. Not to be trusted. Unreliable, fired him when he inflated price and scope of work needed in attic. Had remaining work done by skilled contractor. Never again!.

The team was here within minutes and went above and beyond to get the job done - from assessing the problem, to finding the right replacement parts, to futureproofing. They are extremely responsive, hard workers, and very pleasant. Will be calling on them for future plumbing needs.

I am managing a few real estate properties and Dimo Stoev from DMV Plumbing is doing an excellent plumbing service when I need. He is fast responding to requests, evaluates with competence the problems, gives very reasonable estimate for the price and time for project completion. I am very satisfied of the quality of his performances and the detailed explanations he gives for the plumbing problems and how to avoid them. I recommend DMV Plumbing to everybody who needs fast and high quality service.

Called at 3am with water pouring from the ceiling, he was THE only plumber to pick up and help my situation. Calmly talking me through steps prior to stating he was coming over as the emergency was occurring. In todays day where it feels like no one has your back it was so relieving to come across someone who was genuinely helpful, let alone at 3am. I hope this business gets the Keith Lee effect of plumbing because they deserve it.

We contacted #1 DMV plumbing because the tub spout in our primary bathroom came off. This was on Nov 17. A plumber named DJ responded to our call and came out a day and a half later. He came out twice over the next few days — never arriving on time and never with the tools he needed to fix the job. He told us he'd be back on Nov 19 — a Saturday — to complete the job. We stayed home all day and he never showed up, never answered his phone, never responded to texts. When I finally got ahold of him on Sunday, his response was (direct quote): "My apologies my phone was shut down yesterday." Three days later he came again (reminder: this is all to replace a broken spout), but he had bought the wrong spout. He said he'd be back the next morning at 9am, which is was Thanksgiving morning. "You sure?" I asked him. Three times he shook my hand and said, "No problem at all, this should only take a few minutes. I'll be there." Well, on Thursday morning, he never showed up. I called him. I texted him. No response. We pushed back our plans to drive to Pennsylvania to wait for him to arrive. Nothing. To date, he's never returned our calls or texts, has never fixed the problem, and still has our original spout. Just ghosted us — and wasted a ton of our time. On top of this, it's been 12 days since we've had a working shower. I understand that things come up or schedules change; basic communication and courtesy can go a long way, but we didn't experience either of these. Steer clear of #1 DMV Plumbing. These guys are not professional or dependable.

(To make this a little more clear, we contacted #1 DMV Plumbing 12 days ago. In the attached photo, you can see the current state of our tub/shower. And we haven't heard a word from them in five days. Needless to say, we have a real plumber coming in the morning.)

I want to give a shout out to DJ and #1 DMV Plumbing! My sink clogged up during this freeze we are having. I called #1 DMV Plumbing and talked with DJ. He said it could be due to the frozen weather and gave me some suggestions. He also did he had a full day but would fit me in, and called me back to let me know he had not forgotten. I did what he recommended, and the ice did melt and the clog cleared! I would highly recommend #1 DMV Plumbing!

I highly recommend #1 DMV Plumbing. We recently had an issue with my garbage disposal, and I called them and experience was awesome. They will make sure they do the best they can to give you a great customer service.

This plumber was hired by my neighbor above me to make some repairs to their bathroom. During the repair they accidentally hit a pipe and sent a flood of water into my unit that required some expensive repairs. At first DMV was responsive, apologized, and offered to fix the issue. Because of the mistake, we asked for license and insurance but was met with combativeness and refusal to present the requested documentation. Well that created a lot of trust issues and we ended up hiring another contractor who presented documentation immediately upon request. My kind neighbor ended up paying for all of the repairs out of pocket. DMV took his money and left my neighbor hanging. Would not recommend.

I discovered a wet spot on the ceiling below a bathroom. I called DJ at about 2:30 pm. He said he'd be there the same day, and he was. He was able to fix the problem on the spot for a reasonable price. He was friendly and professional throughout the process. I would definitely call him again.

We had a clogged sewer main I wasn’t able to clear myself. I called DJ around 2:00 pm on Friday afternoon, Columbus Day weekend. He was already booked for the day but agreed to come out at the end of his day to help us out.

DJ arrived within 3 hours and was able to clear our line no problem. He was professional and extremely knowledgeable. Unlike most plumbers in the area, his pricing was transparent, fair, and very reasonable with no hidden up charges or gimmicks.

I couldn’t be happier with DJs work. From now on, I’ll be calling him any time I need a plumber. A1 job. 10/10

Excellent results and very responsive and capable crew. Needed emergency service to replace a water tank…. water was running out of the tank like a water fall.

I contacted the plumbing company I had worked with for years… but never needed the emergency service they advertised. After waiting 4 hours, two technicians arrived and informed me that the job would take a lot of work and they were tired….. but the would come back tomorrow. So much for emergency service.

I contacted DMV and Dwayne, who was on another job said he would get to me after completing his when he was finished. He called, verified the type of water heater needed, pulled his crew together, told me to go and relax (at this point I’m sure I looked like a traumatized mess…. wet socks and all), started and completed the work, checked for any other possible problems, turned the water back on, and removed the old water heater. Now that’s 24hour emergency service!

DMV is now my plumbing company…..bye Sp**^^!

We can't say enough good things about DJ at DMV plumbing. Our sump pump went out during a huge storm. It was Sunday evening and all stores selling pumps were closed. We called at least 10 companies none had pumps and many were very unsympathetic. DMV did not have a pump available either but DJ offered to call around and try to find one. When he could not find a pump, he offered to come over after midnight with a temporary solution to keep our basement from flooding. He even offered to come back or face time with us during the night if the temporary solution started to fail. He returned the next day and installed a new one. He listened to our needs, was sympathetic, reassuring, polite, and a great communicator. We will definitely be calling DMV plumbing for any future plumbing needs.

I hired Roto Rooter to replace my old shower head, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service I received. From start to finish, everything was handled professionally and efficiently.
The plumber (Earl) arrived right on time, was polite, and took time to explain the replacement process and answer a few questions I had about water pressure and maintenance. The installation itself was quick and clean with no mess left behind, and the new shower head works perfectly.
What really stood out to me was their attention to detail and respect for my home. They even wore protective covers over their shoes and double-checked everything before leaving to make sure it was working just right.
If you are looking for a reliable, knowledgeable plumbing company that cares about doing the job right, I highly recommend Roto Rooter. I will definitely be calling them again for any future plumbing needs.
