I had a toliet leak and sewage in the entire bathtub, the bathtub was completely brown at the bottom. Mr. Delroy Clark came to my house on-time, he was polite, inspected the basement and bathroom, he let me know all the pricing before doing the work, he did a great job cleaning all the sewage in the bathtub. He did a great job! 5 stars!!! I'll be using this company again in the future :)

Roto Rooter came to my house to provide a quote for flapper and valve replacement for my toilet and p-trap replacement for my kitchen sink. The quote was $1200 plus parts, which is well above the average cost.

Additionally, the leak in my kitchen sink became worse after the technician left. The following day, I turned on the faucet and water immediately leaked out of the cabinet and onto my floors. The leak has been present for a while, but has been a slow leak that did not spill over to my floors so this is new following the technician review. My sink is now unusable and the matter has become emergent due to this company.

Trevor was great. He was knowledgeable and friendly and nice to my 3 year old. He fixed my problem and told me realistically what my options would be coming up. Highly recommend Trevor. I don’t love the prices but honestly these are probably market prices. The economy is trash so I can’t blame the company. I paid $385 for my service today and $40 for the inspection yesterday.

Sung was an amazingly professional Plummer. He explained everything he was going to do and why, including drawings so I could visualize better. He left my bathroom spotless in addition to taking special care to put tarps down on hardwood floors to protect them from damage from the machines. While it was horribly expensive, O cannot say enough about his through service.

Was able to book on a Saturday with arrival in two hours. Very nice plumber. Did a thorough job and everything is working well.

Solomon was great. He showed up on time. He figured out right away what the problem was and helped unclogged my dual kitchen sink. He was courteous and was very respectful of my home. We had an urgent shower leak dripping down into the ceiling, and with guests on the way, we needed it fixed fast. Mr. David arrived promptly, was polite, honest, and gave us a very fair price. In less than an hour, he had the problem resolved and left everything spotless, cleaned up after himself so you’d never know there had been an issue. Dishonest business and extremely unhelpful dispather in the Georgetown area. First I waited for almost three hours at night when I was told that a technician would be sent to my house for an emergency issue in the next two hours, then I had to call three times over an one-hour period just to reach the dispather. And when I finally was able to talk to the dispather, she said there were a lot of customers experiencing issues in the area. I said I understand, but now it's almost 10pm, and I want to know what to expect tonight, and asked for my place in the line of waiting. She refused to tell me that information and kept repeating the same unhelpful official line that there were a lot of customers and a technician would be sent to me as soon as possible, with no indication as to when that will be or whether that is going to happen tonight. If they had not lied and said a technician "WILL BE SENT" in the next two hours when I called at 6pm, I could have gone with a different plumber.

I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. The team was prompt, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. They diagnosed the problem quickly and replaced my sump pump at a much lower cost than what other companies quoted. Everything was done neatly and efficiently — no mess left behind.

Since the replacement, the pump has been running perfectly, and I finally have peace of mind knowing the basement is protected. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing reliable, honest, and affordable service!

We had a plumbing leak of unknown origin and had previously hired a plumbing service to locate the source. Mr. McMillion arrived and, within ten to fifteen minutes of his assessment, identified the pipe’s origin and the probable cause of the problem.

We initially feared a major water damage issue that might require subfloor replacement. However, Mr. McMillion alleviated our concerns by providing clear, logical, and reassuring information. He pinpointed the source and explained what would be required to fix the issue in a way that was both thorough and easy to understand.

Root-Rooter and Arjan were awesome for us. We found a small leak in one of the pipes from our water heater and needed someone to look at it quickly. Scheduling was easy, and the follow up confirmation was quick to get our appointment set up for the next day. Arjan arrived on time and quickly took care of our issue, while explaining a lot of the ins and outs of everything without trying to make a sale. He gave us a lot of good information to make sure we knew what to keep an eye on in the future and we now know more about water heaters. To top it all off, the price was fair and the job was done quickly and well. Will definitely be using Roto-Rooter again if any other plumbing issues arise.

Issues with a backed up sewer line that took three visits plus a visit from the city sewer management service to ultimately identify the problem and fix it. City determined the cause was tree roots growing into city pipes. Roto Rooter technicians were very good. They were personable, helpful and friendly. They also engaged the city after 3 visits to ultimately rectify the problem. First visit cost $1300. The other two were covered under their warranty.

The technician that came out today, Josh Brooks did an amazing job, and he successfully cleared the lines and restored my toilets to working order. He worked diligently to diagnose the problem, performed the necessary actions to clear the lines, ensured everything was in working order, and cleaned the area before he left. He was polite and professional, he explained what he was doing throughout the process, and he answered all of my questions before he left. A licensed local plumber completed the repair for $450, and the faucet did not need replacement — it only required a simple aerator.

The discrepancy in both cost and diagnosis was alarming. Please get a second opinion before agreeing to expensive plumbing work.

My experience with Roto‑Rooter was extremely disappointing. I expected a professional, efficient service, but instead I encountered poor communication and a lack of follow‑through. Despite multiple assurances, no work was completed, and I was left with the same unresolved issue and no clear guidance on next steps. The technician, Israel, repeatedly came up with excuses not to perform the job. He claimed my bathroom space was too small, his equipment was too large, and then quoted an outrageous price that didn’t match the situation. On top of that, he tried to convince me that the storm drain in the street was actually my plumbing line and that I needed to call DC Water to fix the issue — something that was completely inaccurate and unhelpful. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of accountability afterward. Follow‑up support was minimal, and I felt dismissed rather than assisted. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Roto‑Rooter and would encourage others to explore more reliable options.
